I gave it 2 stars because it was genuinely really funny to read. . . .
I found it at a thrift shop, and it is SO outdated, overly gendered to the point of demeaning, quite one-sided, and treats every zodiac man as one type of person. After reading this, I could have easily assumed there are only 12 types of men in the world and they're all demanding assholes. The way the author expects women to bend or break their personalities to please these 'archetypes' is actually insulting most of the time.
Beyond that. . . . The recipes were meh, the astrological side seemed hokey, and the sexual fantasy aspect? WOW. VERY PROBLEMATIC.
In the Leo section, the author's guided sexual fantasy includes dipping an egg vibrator in honey and having your Leo lover insert, honey and all, inside you. Honey, for all the wonders that it can do, is not a lubricant. It almost makes me question the sexual experience and cooking experience of the author. . . . No one who has ever used honey for anything or has had any sort of sexual intercourse would think that a sticky, sugary substance can be used as a lubricant alternative.
So many of the entries were cringy or felt obscene. Such as Cancer wanting essentially a baby-play kink, and that you should try to emulate his mother due to his very deep Freudian urges. Parent kinks are a thing, but this. . . . This made it come off as pedophilic and very uncomfortable.
These issues can be humorous for those who are more brazen or sexually secure, but this book should never, under any situation, be used as a guide for your love life or sex life.
