Bennie Cunningham had always known that he was adopted. His parents had given him a box on his eighteenth birthday from his birth mother for him to open whenever he was ready. Bennie held onto the box, deciding to open it when he moved into his own apartment at the age of twenty three. He was unprepared for the consequences of opening that box which revealed the horrible circumstances surrounding his conception, as well as the lies and deceit following his birth that has now upended his life.
