This novel was a solid 4-stars. It wasn’t anything incredible or amazing but was a solidly enjoyable read. If you’re a fan of the subject matter, then I think this would be a recommended read.
The vast majority of this novel was sex scenes, long and graphically described. I didn’t realize it was straight up smut when I started reading (somehow! It was my bad), but thankfully I’m versatile. I try to rate novels based on what they are trying to be, and since this one stated that it was “why-choose sapphic shifter smut”, I would say that it was a complete success. There was zero relationship development or romance between the characters, which was disappointing for a romance novel, but that was skipped over by using the “fated mates” trope. The lack of romance was disappointing to me, the sex was spicy but not the best I have ever seen, and so I settled with 4-stars.
Surprisingly there was some solid plot and action components thrown into this novel as well. Once I realized this was straight up smut, I was not expecting much in the way of plotline, so that was nice. There was zero character development to be seen on these pages.
Some parts of this novel were confusing for me as this is my first Omegaverse novel, but that’s a “me problem”. It was easy enough to google some things and everything made sense.

This book had me sold as soon as I saw it would be a why choose sapphic shifter romance. I had no idea what to expect, but this wasn't it, and I didn't mind at all.
On the eve of Niki's 30th birthday, a party is held in order for her to find a suitable mate, so she can officially take over the alpha role of her clan. What she doesn't expect is find her fated mate, Zara a beta, something that is rare in the shifter world. But the surprise doesn't end there because on her birthday she comes across an omega named Vera, who also turns out to be her mate, as well. When Vera goes missing Niki will do everything in her power to bring back her mate.
The relationship between Niki, Zara and Vera was so sweet, with each one balancing the others personalities perfectly. Niki was always taking care of her mates, making sure they were comfortable and happy, and that she had their full conscent. She had such a strong and loving personlity, while Zara had such a sweet personality, with just enough sass and Vera being the shy and sweet one. I really enjoyed this sapphic romance and can't wait to find out what else this author has planned. I'll be for sure binging her full backlist now!

Honestly this book had me sold at sapphic why choose with fated mates and had me hooked from the start. When I say I absolutely devoured this book I mean it. I got so wrapped up in Niki’s story and how the gathering leading up to her thirtieth birthday landed her with not just one but two fated mates.
I think one of my favorite aspects of the story was just how sweet Niki was with both Vera and Zara. She’s is always asking for consent (both in and out of the bedroom) and always prioritizes their happiness and comfort. Niki also really prioritizes aftercare which I think is incredibly important and I love that the author included that.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read with the perfect amount of spice and suspense.

I would give this a solid 3.5 out of 5 (but rounding up to 4). The story was good, and I loved the characters. I just wish there was more plot to balance the spice. The spice was on point and creative. It wasn't the usual and there were bits of creativity in there. The other issue for me was that it could have used a one-over by a proofer or editor. For me, some of it read as too formal instead of "regular". Overall though, I think the author did a fantastic job of highlighting shifters, spinning the premise a little more than what is usually seen. For example, there's a female alpha, poly representation as well as LGBTQ. Omega's of the pack were treated far differently than what they are in most of the shifter books I read. That was refreshing and I appreciated that!

Alpha, I don't know what I had expected, but this book wasn't planned. I had read a previous book by this author and immensely enjoyed the book. This story had the right amount of action, and romance, and seeing as I'm not very known for reading paranormal books, I learned a lot.
I loved seeing the alpha being a female, (or trying to be) normally in my past romance novels with werewolves they were all male, so that was fun to see in this story.
HEA was awesome, it was also FFF so lots of girl action. Quite a fun story! Awesome and so enjoyable!

All three characters deserve a real story
So I think this was a good set up and could have been interesting. I expected sex because this is an erotica but I also expected a real romance. But no it was just scene after scene of sex that got old so fast and 1 dimensional characters. Literally card board cut outs. The rest of the story was just a bunch of telling us what's happening. I really wish there was more to this.

I was so excited to dive into this book this week. It was my first sapphic book and wasn’t sure what to expect. Let me just say… I loved every bit of it! From the plot to the characters and the steamy scenes! I ate this book up! It was so well written, and loved seeing the characters and their relationships build! I will be diving into more books like this one soon!!

I’m not in the habit of reading fantasy or wolf related stories, but this was a pretty good read. The characters were well written, and there were some really 🔥🔥sex scenes. I enjoyed this book more than I expected to.

3 stars. Felt like a rough draft. The characters were one dimensional and I really wanted to get to know them but the focus is primary on the sex. Which, fine, I love me some smut but the plot had so much potential to be so good. This wasn't terrible but it left so much to be desired.

Not bad for easy read. lots of spicy sexy scenes, decent plot (shame really it could of been soo much more) but I didn't want heavy reading so all good.
