I was thinking of writing a monster horror tale but it quickly turned into a story about a real possible horrific event. As I began writing I realized there will be monsters in the story. There will be human monsters. No imagined creature can match the evil of mankind. No imagined being can match the love of a true heart.
This was a profound read for me. I grew up near the end of the Cold War yet I do have memories of seeing fallout shelter signs. This is a chilling story of what a nuclear war might be like. The matters of trust and dependence among a group of people are written so well but the author. The so believable scenarios stuck with me and really made me think about what I would do in that situation. A great read! You'll see why the title is Bleeding Colors.
