I just want to live my life the way I want. I don't need anyone trying to control me. Getting a tattoo is the most rebellious thing I've ever done and I haven't even done it yet. What I don't expect is to have such a deep connection to the man who's going to tattoo me.
She's nothing like my normal clients. She looks out of place and I love it. When she doesn't like my initial design, I do something I never do. I've quickly become addicted to her. Maybe she's meant to be mine.
Absolutely fantastic story, I just loved it! Willow has been controlled all her life by her father. She decides to be rebellious and get a tattoo, something she has always wanted, however when she gets to the shop, she doesn’t know what design to get. Willow meets her tattoo artist, Knox, and despite his looks, being the complete opposite of her, she is instantly attracted to him. Knox knows there is something completely different about Willow and feels an instant connection. As Willow can’t decide on her tattoo, Knox does something he never does and offers to marker draw on designs until she is happy with what she wants, which leads to them spending a lot more time together. Very quickly, they are falling for each other, however when Willow’s father finds out, things turn dangerous very quickly. A fantastic book, the characters were just amazing and you could feel the connection they had. I loved the storyline, it had you hooked from the start, I really can’t wait for more from this series.

This is the 1st book in the Ink It Up Series featuring Knox and Willow's sweet and steamy tugs on your heartstrings romance. Willow does not have an easy life with her domineering father who doesn't seem to realize that she's an adult now she's all grown up. When Willow decides that she wants to get a tattoo for herself that's when she meets Knox the man who's going to tattoo her and the man that she has instant chemistry with. Knox can tell when he sees Willow that she's nothing like his regular clients she looks uncomfortable and out of place in here and Knox loves it. When he shows Willow the design for her tattoo she doesn't care for it so Knox decides to do things differently with her. They spend a lot of time together more than Knox has ever spent with any other client and all that he cares about is putting a huge smile on her face and protecting her does this mean she's mine? You really need to read this adorable story to see what happens between them.

What to expect: ✔️ Forbidden Romance ✔️ Opposites Attract ✔️ Small Town Romance ✔️ Grumpy / Sunshine ✔️ Meet Cute
Knox is an ex-military vet with PTSD who works as a Tattoo Artist. Willow has lived a sheltered life under her parents' rule; she has been pushed into a career as a surgeon rather than her aspirations just to keep them happy. Little do they know Willow has been planning her acts of rebellion, including going to Ink It Up for an appointment with Knox to get her first secret tattoo. Sparks fly between Knox and Willow from the first meeting.
Custom Piece is a cute closed-door romance with a darker edge to the storyline. The storyline flowed well with likable characters and sub-characters, including Knox’s service dog, Achilles, who stole my heart. I am giving Custom Piece a rating of 4 / 5 stars.
Customer Piece is book one in the Ink It Up series by Kristin MacQueen and I can hardly wait for the next entries. This is my first book by Ms. MacQueen and she just moved to the one click buy for me! Willow is such a sweet soul who has been dealt a tough life at home by her father. While no physical abuse has happened, the mental and emotional abuse she suffers is just as bad yet she perseveres and remains true to herself. Knox is so much more than what I expected. He's kind and when he sets his sights on Willow he shows his softer yet strong side. I love how they get to know one another. Great story with just the right amount of emotional tugs, drama, and steam. Well done.

Story of a liberation 4.5 I really liked this story because from the start, we understand that the tattoo is also a part of the independence, of the rebellion of the heroine, Willow. She is accompanied by the understanding, the help to make her evolve and the immeasurable acceptance from Knox, whom she does not know, but who becomes the one in whom she trusts, who frees her and who attracts her. The story is very well written and the feelings and questions are very well developed to create empathy towards them. The story is not full of hot scenes and is cuter on that sideI voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
I absolutely loved this book! Knox was as close to perfect as any character I’ve ever read! Add in Achilles and I was done for! I couldn’t come up with enough adjectives to describe how amazing he was. I really liked Willow. She was sweet and innocent, but she had also had a hidden strength to her. I hated what she had to deal with, but she fell into perfection with Knox. I love that this series has ties to all the other series and I get glimpses of some of those amazing characters! I can’t wait for more of this series! Hoping that flirtatious Rocco’s story is next!.

Knox and Willow's story is the first book in the Ink It Up series.
Wow, what a start to a series that grabs you from the start and the takes you on a wild ride of finding love and strength with an unbelievable twist of danger.
I love the connection between Knox and Willow. The support he gave Willow while she faced her dad and helped her step out from the shadows was amazing. The last part of their story had me edge and almost broke my heart, but when everyone came together it made me smile.
Amazing Start.

This is the first in a new series and what an amazing start this is with Willow and Knox’s story. Willow has not had an easy life with her domineering father, and as an act of rebellion she goes to get a tattoo. Knox is a tattoo artist, and from the moment he meets Willow there is a connection. These two may be opposites, but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is action packed, and with romance, danger, suspense, twists, heartbreak, and love, and leads to a steamy page turner which pulls at the heartstrings throughout. This was the first book I read by this author and I will be going back to read more. This book is the first in the series and it will keep you glued to your seat to finish it. I loved the characters. Knox is not what you expect and he does everything he can to protect Willow. Willow has been mentally abused by her father so when she rebels to get a tatoo she meets Knox and falls for him. You will not be able to put this book down as these two fight to be together.

Any form of rebellion was unacceptable to Willow's father, but he would never see a tattoo on her hip. Sexy and heart-tugging Willow and Knox are an adorable couple. The chemistry between them sizzled and kept me wanting more. I love how he helped her with the pens and Achilles favoring Willow, cracked me up a little.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I liked the characters and the way they fall for each other. Defiance and rebellion bring Willow to Knox, but they quickly realize that there's something more laid out in front of them. Their story is sweet but still has plenty of passion. Willow finds strength, acceptance, understanding, support and love with him. She becomes his everything. Loved Achilles and his show of love and support
I really liked Willow and Knox’s characters in this book. Willow comes across as a bit shy, but after meeting with Knox for her tattoo, she seems to come out of her cocoon a bit. Knox is about knocked off his feet from his desire to get to know her and I think that it’s charming how strong his feelings for her are right from the start. They made this book very enjoyable to read.

Willow meets Knox when she tries to do something for herself, but Knox feels she’s different to his normal clients and wants to look after her. Her home is not a safe place and he wants nothing more than to keep her safe and with him. An emotional, sweet and beautiful love story with a HEA. Another series from this author that I’m really looking forward to reading.

Willow just wants to live her life the way she wants. But doesn't expect to have such a deep connection to Knox; the man who’s going to tattoo her. When she doesn’t like his initial design, he does something he never does. In the process, spending more time with her than any other client. He soon finds himself wanting to protect her from everything and put a big smile on her face. Great characters. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Willow is awesome! Even though she has lived a sheltered life she has been taking small steps to get to where she wants to be and be free of the all the control in her parents house. Knox is an awesome book boyfriend and his sidekick Achilles is icing on the cake. He is immediately protective ans drawn to willow and it only gets more intense from there. Loved the trio together. Can’t wait for more.
This is my first book by this Author and I did enjoy the story. Knox is the big bad tatted artist and Willow is the sweet girl wanting her first tattoo. So when she goes to Ink It Up and isn't happy with what she thought she wanted that starts this kind of friendship between them. What Willow doesn't say is her father is controlling and has held her back from life. Knox opens her eyes to what life should be but it doesn't come without some trouble. In the end it was worth it.
First time reading anything from this author and overall I enjoyed it. Willow has a rough go with a domineering father but Knox is there for her when she needs him most. Achilles is such a super part of the story that really ties it altogether for them to get their HEA.

This is the starting story in the "Ink It Up!" series. It is not an overly long read, actually novella length. The story is addictive and I could not put it down. The story is about Knox and Willow. I love Achilles though!!! He is a tattoo artist and she is his new client. She is sweet and innocent who has a controlling father. I enjoyed their story from beginning to end.
A book about mental abuse, true love, and being strong enough to stand up for yourself as well as on your own two feet. And pretty strong story from beginning to end!

If you're one of those readers that LOVE it when author's series merge and you see cameos from other books, she has it in spades in her books! I loved this book and can't wait for more in this series. This book was amazing and I really enjoyed it so much!!
I absolutely loved this book. It is clean but full of heart and romance. Gets you in the feels and has a great storyline. Great characters and character development. I can't wait to see more.
Story about a military veteran, PTSD, canine veteran, child abuse, friendship and family. Author does a great job of blending all this into a great story.
