I just couldn’t. I don’t know how this book got onto my kindle, but I started it because I thought the description sounded interesting and the reviews I saw were good. Almost immediately the writing style put me off. It is very amateur with poor word choices and strange sentence construction. The dialogue is unnatural and stilted. I kept reading it long after I lost interest, because I kept thinking that the ending must really be something. About 1/3 of the way through I began to think that this was a book written by a charismatic christian to illustrate the dangers of messing with demonic stuff and to declare the power of God through prayer, laying on of hands and casting out demons in the name of God. That would totally explain the childish writing style, the poorly designed plot, the unbelievable characters, the lack of character development, the jumping around of the pov, etc. That type of ignorant, heavy handed smearing of God’s grace and power is so disgusting and coupled with ridiculous, unbelievable demonic bs is just not for me so I skipped to the end and caught the tale end of what I can only imagine was a poorly written bloodbath which ultimately ended up being all in the mind of some deranged kid in a mental institution. Don’t get me wrong, I have a pretty high tolerance for the strange and bizarre but almost no tolerance for poor writing and this was 193 pages of crap.

WTH did I just read. The epilog made it make sense some. I almost didn't finish it because it was so confusing at times. But then I was invested and needed to know what the hell was happening and if this was some schizophrenic stuff, possessed stuff, or idk what. So I had to finish. Not my style at all but I guess I finished it
Would have liked this story so much more if it had been shorter. I felt like things were over explained and too drawn out. I ended up skimming a lot of paragraphs to get the jist of the information because things were dragging and taking forever.
