When the ancient Greek gods and goddesses get reabsorbed into Mount Olympus, they have to decide whether to die with their powers or gift them to people in the mortal realm. Of course, they agree to some rules, but some gods and goddesses are too focused on each other to pay attention.
This is how the people gained Hades and Persephone's powers. Finding love from centuries apart and accepting that sometimes destiny is in control.
