Sometimes the protagonist is annoying morally good but that is what makes him unique especially since his goodness is not extreme but what you would expect of someone on a daily basis. In other words he is nothing special which is why he is special. A story that does not talk about heroic goodness but shows that true courage is remaining normal and extending decency to others even when you are trembling in fear yourself.
Poor boy but I ship you with the hippo. Hippo has the most heartbreaking and beautiful hetero love story tho.
I loved this series sooooo much. I will never stop recommending this series to anyone that will listen. Considering it was a light novel, I found that it was closer to literature than many of the modern books I read these days.
From the first sentence, I could already tell that the author wanted to say something to the audience.
The protagonist is wonderfully ordinary. He is physically weak(since he's a dentist), but his incredible will power, and sense of moral compass made me gain hope in humanity.
I just love this series. If I could write an essay on it, I would.
