Another book this month that made me want to throw! I wanted to cry, awww, so mad, sweet love. And then I figured out why I loved it so much. It reminds me of one of my favorite movie. " The Notebook"

A small town, young love, left for school,coming back and seeing her ex and him still loving her after all that time . Everything that I love about that movie and more. But there are a few twists and turns in this book that makes it different from the movie and I love that.

I love the fast paced in the beginning with Loretta Cox and Calum ... There build up for love and ending so fast just to return again is great. There is a lot of little action in this book and not all about love. Which keeps you wanting to read it. Some romance to me is all about talking but when you add drama it makes it worth your wild. Which this book has.

Loretta, I was so mad at her throughout the book and rooting for calum most of the time. I didn't see the ending happening like that at all and wish I had a few more chapters to read about there love and the rebuilding 🤣 but overall a cute romance book to read.

Young love facing the challenges of growing up and prolonged distance over several years made for a slow unraveling story. I liked the flashback to the earlier years when Rhett and Callum first met and their relationship began. Their ups and downs of young love in a modest rural community with rampant small town gossip made it easy to empathize with this couple. Nurturing a new relationship amidst conflict, vulnerability and yet unmet dreams appeared so hard! I particularly felt bad for Callum with how actions and decisions impacted him. As for Rett, she started as the sweet honest girl next door but changed into someone I found much less likeable. I did like watching this story unfold, although found some of the details and genuine thoughts/behaviours of some characters to be missing or inconsistent.

Amazing story!
Long Time Gone by the amazing Finley K. James is a simply wonderful story about Loretta and Calum, two people who made some bad decisions. This story tells you how sometimes
What starts fast, it ends fast too. Sometimes bad decision doesn’t just affects you for that moment but it can also take away the one you love from you forever.
This story was sweet, for the firsts chapters I got a Sweet Home Alabama kind of vibe. I just love it😍. While reading Long Time Gone, I cried, I smiled, and I did a happy dance when they got their happy ending.


This is a must read book! Finley did an amazing job writing this story. Once you start reading you can’t stop reading. I love when a story starts with the ends, just to show you that there’s more that meets the eye!

I enjoyed reading this sweet romance. Once I started reading Long Time Gone, I didn't want to put it down. I wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. The characters are great (Loretta and Calum) and the storyline hooked me from the start. I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't go into details. However, I do recommend reading this book!

Lovely couple married before college, they supposed survived long distance.
Will they?
Easy to read, a little drama and some interesting stories from little southern town.
Almost could see all ladies.
The ending is nice but cut very short.
