We begin with Seb, a horse whisperer running into his lost love Sally in France. Then distanced by the Covid 19 pandemic they both go about their lives trying to be together again.
With a creepy stalker type literally lurking in the bushes - Sally begins to worry something is not quite right.
I love Gillian's books- I'm calling them 'Aussie farm comfort reads'. Wells ability to set up an authentic farm life is so fabulous. The setting combined with likeable MC's who value family, love and hard work allows readers to really connect with the story or be fascinated by their tough rural lives.

Was looking forward to this read with anticipation. Was surprised that it started several years after “Lost” ended. By doing so the author created a brand new storyline with all the familiar characters. Seb’s talent as a horse whisper takes him from France and back to Australia through the pandemic of COVID. Loved that the author has included locations that are familiar to me having visited Australia in 2023. Another great accomplishment by Gillian Wells. I wonder if there may be a third book that continues on with Seb and Sally?

Seb returns in Returned, book 2 in Gillian Wells 'lost' series.
Seb now living in France bumps into Sally whilst on a business trip. They start to rekindle their love that started 10 years prior. But then "COVID" hits. Sebs fights his way to get back to Sally who has returned home to Australia.
What another amazing read by Gillian. I was so excited to read this when Beauty and Lace Book Club announced they had copies. A must read for those who have suffered the "blackdog" and affected by covid.
