I remember reading this and really enjoying it back in the late 1980s - so a total nostalgia trip to find it again, and relive some of my fondness for the musical 'Annie'.

This is by far one of the best books I have ever read. The story that Shelley tells of her successful run as the second Annie on Broadway (following in the footsteps of Andrea McArdle and then to be replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker). Shelley does a beautiful job in detailing her heartfelt journey both painful and exciting. The road that took her to Broadway and the one that led her through childhood cancer.

AMAZING BOOK!!!!! ---- I first read this when I was in Junior High School, then have read it many times as an adult. It is an extremely inspirational book, and she is amazing at not only telling her story, but what she did to overcome the difficulties in front of her. It's also a wonderful book for anyone who loves Broadway or the arts. I highly recommend this book.
