This is an excellent book that covers the basic foundations, concepts, and principles of schizophrenia. It provides several examples of the disease, which makes it easier for the reader to understand. These examples are written in a story like setting and each is unique. Thus, allowing various types of stereotypes to be addressed. Areas such as care givers and future outlooks are included, to give a realistic viewpoint for loved ones.

I thought this book was very informative and helpful. It was very easy to read and covered many of my questions. Some of the information is a little outdated, but I still felt the book was important. I believe that if a person has a loved one that is struggling with this diagnosis, than this book is for you. I strongly recommend it for its information and its ease in readability.

This is a good series, not only for young adults, but also for people who want a better basic understanding of mental illnesses, but don't have the medical science background to understand medical journals.
Never overly technical, occasionally under technical, but overall another good use of an hour here and there.
