There is just so much to say about Through His Eyes. It’s absolutely another 5 star read by Nikki Ash.
I fell in deep serious love with this book. My favorite thing about it was Quinn (the heroine) and the realness her character portrays. She is every woman!!! There was no sugarcoating her pain and insecurities. She told a story of the immense power a significant other can have over our self-worth . I love that Nikki told this story from a prospective of all those woman who’ve been torn down, and then found the strength and courage to overcome it.
Then we have our Hero, Lachlan. He was so sweet and patient, persistent without being pushy. He gave Quinn her womanly power back, and he’s just the man every torn down girl needs. The way her loved on her body and continually told her how beautiful she was, made me smile and swoon like crazy.
Quinn met Lachlan at her brothers tattoo shop and from the moment he saw her he knew she was something special. Being a single mom who was just going through the motions of life, she didn’t think she had anything to offer Lachlan. Little did she know all she needed to give him was herself.
What I loved most about the way Nikki told this story, is the authenticity of it. Quinn struggles with what most women do. Not just body images, but life’s challenges in general. Being a mom to an adorable but sometimes stinker child, it’s tough. Coming to grip with growing older, no woman likes that. Being uncomfortable in our own skin and not where we want to be physically, I think most woman deal with that. And it wasn’t just a magical fix once she met a good man to help her through. Quinn still fell at times, even when she thought she was getting better, her insecurities found a way back in. And you know what... that’s real life! It’s an ongoing battle. This is why Quinn is one of the best characters I’ve ever read.
So, if you love great story lines, real-life, authentic situations, deep family love, single moms, adorable little girls, sexy tattooed men, and the power of healing through love and acceptance, this is the book for you.
One of my all time favorites reads!
