Finishing 2024 with some self-indulgent arranged marriage nonsense. Natsumi marries Takimasa, a young naval lieutenant in 1930s Japan. Thank goodness the survival of the species doesn’t depend on them, because they’ve been married over a month by the end of the first volume and have just managed…hand-holding.

A very slow burn Showa romance between a civilian woman and a navy officer.
Both are very shy and inexperienced with opposite sex which makes them very awkward with expressing their feelings. It's a very cute and innocent love story but can be frustrating sometimes too.
But looking forward to read more about their relationship. And hopefully the brief mentioned of the life risk of being a navy by the friend is not foreshadowing any future tragedy:/
