This is an informative, and enjoyable (if you are interested in the topic) book that covers the field from a high perspective, but has enough details to inform at higher levels. It reads as an historical account of how we got to where we are, introducing us to the key scientists who developed the concepts in that chapter. For me, it helped connect the dots (names and contributions) a little better than my memory allows with traditional texts. It does not get too technical with the details, but still offers an understanding of how it all fits together, and who got us there.

It is a very good book to get to know the history of physics in brief. I loved this book for how it focuses on the contribution of females in the field of physics. Absolutely reader friendly and easy to grasp the concepts. If you are interested in science or physics especially then this can be a great start to get to know the basics of physics.

THis book was not as much science as it was a history of scientists. I would recommend this book to anybody that likes to read about scientists, or anybody who wants to know the absolute basics of chemistry, not nuclear physics. This book was also quite boring at parts.
