If You’ve Come This Far. Read The Book. Outstanding!
“Kill Promise” is another outstanding book in the “Jack Widow Series” as well as one that warrants a 10-Star Rating!

Jack Widow is back in The Kill Promise by Scott Blade. This is one of the best books in the series by far. The first couple of chapters is brilliant, I really got hooked on the woman tied to a tree. Sadly after about two thirds of the book it became a little standard Widow but that is still a heck of a good read. I still can't stop wondering what would have happened if Blade had been alowed to continue with his original idea about Reachers son looking for his father? Ah, well it is what it is, (unless it isn't). I have been following this author for a long time now and I think he writes some damn good books, may he long continue doing so.

Brilliant
Another Scott Blade masterpiece. I love the Jack Widow series. Much better than Jack Reacher!!! Waiting for the next one :)

Really appreciated this series who keep getting better and better! This last one was no exceptions since the actions and suspense was thru the very last page! Thanks to the author for sharing!

#18 GETS 5 STARS
Every one of the books are gripping thrillers! I never get over the surprises that Widow brings. I think that Mr. Blade has the heart of a super hero that comes to life in every novel. Don’t miss this one for sure.

Spellbinding
Like all the Jack Widow books, this grabs you and keeps you hooked until the last word. This is a great series; and, I recommend you read them all in order. This one was worth the wait, as they all are!

Always look forward to another Widow book. This time he's in Seattle near a naval base he is familiar with and runs into an old friend who invites him to a special ceremony on base-awarding the Navy Cross to Lou Cosay. However, Lou is a no show which is unlike her.
His friend asks him to look into her disappearance and it leads Widow to Sawyer Lake near the Canadian border and Lou's hometown. There is evil there and Lou made a promise to her mother to find out how her younger brother was killed.
Widow arrives and proceeds to wreak havoc until he finds Lou and helps her get justice.
The first half was a bit slow and the action picked up later in the book.

What a way to start a book, tied to a tree? It was more of a prologue then a chapter as it didn’t go anywhere .This is a good story except at the end of chapter 15 to the start of 16 where it gets totally confusing since he uses the Vedely name in the police station and the again in the car with Harvey. Finally at the end of y17 Cosay shows up. It takes a couple of chapters more and we learn of Altan Vedely, the Sheriffs brother. When Widow probably should have drown, Blade writes him out of it using a staple,doubtful. All in all quite the story.

Scott Blade delivers another solid adventure with Kill Promise, taking Jack Widow fans on a wild ride through small-town America. This time, Widow is drawn into the disappearance of an NCIS officer in her hometown, leading him into a dangerous tangle with the usual mix of rural villains and an elite group of ex-SEALs on a deadly hunt. The book offers a bit more depth than Blade's usual fare, with a slow-burn buildup that keeps the tension high, though the ending might feel a tad too brief for some. That said, if you're familiar with Blade's style, you know exactly what you're getting—thrilling action, a rugged hero, and a plot that keeps you turning the pages. Overall, Kill Promise is another enjoyable outing for Widow, earning a solid 8 out of 10.

Another 100% Enjoyable Non Stop Jack Widow Read
The only thing I would say, is to start at the beginning of the series so you can fully appreciate the main character.
This book was so enjoyable, I didn’t want it to stop. Seriously conflicted between wanting to devour the story without pause, and wanting it to last…
Devour won out, and I can’t wait for the next installment in the series.
If you haven’t yet read any books in this series, then do yourself a favor and jump in!

Best author ever....
These books are tantalizing and addictive. Once you start the first book you feel like your drawn in to Jack Widows world and you must keep reading to know what happens next, where will he go, who will be meet, and whose life is at stake. Try this author and this series, you won't be disappointed.

Mr. Blade never fails to give the goods
If you’re reading this book then I can only assume that you’ve read the others in the series. As with some authors, these just keep getting better.
If you’re looking at this and you’ve not read the series then don’t bother with this one. Start at the beginning and know that you have 18 books of unabashed reading pleasure ahead of you.

Had forgotten about Jack Widow, thanks for Amazon for the reminder.
With the retreat of the creator of Reacher, Widow is next up.
I do wish he had some emotional depth - but he is who he is, and his creator definitely has the writing chops to craft a compelling mystery.

My Night Life
Started this book yesterday and finally gave up and went to bed at 1:00 am. Started again this afternoon. Big mistake. I get so into the story that I am telling them what to do next. Finished it at 2:45 am.
I really enjoy traveling with Widow and can't wait for our next adventure.

Look what happens when an American Indian NCIS agent and a ex- navy Seal/ NCIS agent team up!
Great read. Wonderful selection of characters in this story. Widow and Lou do a great job getting the job done. Not without some agonizing bouts. The story sure keeps you involved. Where to next?

By the lake
A book that really picks up towards the end. A couple of twists in there to keep it interesting, a suspicious police force. Phone call probably saved a lot of drama. Entertaining.

I am a big fan of the series and the author. This latest book in the series is excellent. The opening chapter is really compelling and from that point the book is a real rollercoaster. Highly recommended. No spoilers just read it you won’t be disappointed.

Boring first half of book
The action didn’t really pick up until the last few chapters. When the action did pick up, it seemed like the impossible means of escape came in to play. It was too much like a Jack Reacher clone.

The background the author places around the characters, especially Jack Widow, is detailed and involves the reader in the action. The only question is, as in all of his books, how will Jack Widow become involved? Keep writing Scott Blade.

Widow delivers again. How did he survive being handcuffed to a chain connected to a cinder block and chained to 3 other villains as they all four were sinking to the bottom of a lake?
