One of the most popular experts writing on magic today presents in this book an all-new collection of tricks. Here are small effects and close-up sleights where the magic happens right under the noses of the audience, card tricks of varying difficulty, the secrets of "mind reading" and "telepathy," stage magic, and tricks with coins, rings, and silks.
Drawing from the repertoires of today's most original magicians, the book provides much material for the beginning conjurer, as well as more demanding effects for the advanced amateur and the expert. The tricks have been arranged in ascending order of difficulty; but all of them can be performed with household objects or inexpensive easily made materials.
There are fifty-seven full pages of drawings to explain and illustrate the tricks, and the author includes many helpful suggestions for giving the performance that professional polish which will amaze and delight your audience.
Bruce Walter Gardner Lively Stacy Elliott was an American writer of mystery fiction, science fiction, and television scripts. He was also a magician who wrote several books on magic.
In November 1972, Elliott was hit by a taxi cab driver, lapsed into a coma, and died four months later on March 21, 1973. He was 58 years old.
Terrific book of both practical and stage magic, with tricks devised by, among many others, Walter B. Gibson (creator of THE SHADOW) and Elliot himself.
