He's the father of my babies—but he'll never be mine.
It's not easy being a single dad in the middle of nowhere, but Omega Beryn doesn't mind. He's the pack loner, living at the edge of the village, but his tiny forest cabin is warm and cosy enough for him and Hanna, his cheerful baby daughter. Beryn doesn't need an alpha's attention, thank you very much.
Especially not from Raul , the infuriatingly stunning pack alpha, the blonde himbo from his dirtiest dreams—and Beryn's fated mate.
They'd shared one glorious heat together... And then the stone-hearted bastard had thrown Beryn out like yesterday's trash, choosing a political marriage over the omega in his bed.
But when Alpha Raul's arranged mate runs away, abandoning his screaming newborn, Beryn suddenly finds himself installed at the pack house, caring for both his daughter and Raul's adorable infant son. He would never turn away a child who needed him, but with two babies under two and the pack in disarray, the days are long and the nights are longer—and terribly lonely.
Beryn swore he’d never again set eyes on the alpha who rejected him, but answering the phone doesn’t count, does it?
Alpha’s Fortune is a sweet and steamy 30k mpreg novella featuring a grumpy omega wolf, his protective alpha mate, and the cutest pair of rosy-cheeked babies in the whole wide world.
Cute quick read. Pack Alpha, Raul is way trying to do what resembles team building exercises and games with other pack’s leaders. At home, his “arranged mate” has left the pack leaving their newborn son behind. Omega Beryn is brought to the pack house with his baby daughter to care for the Alpha’s son while Raul is away.
Beryn is Raul’s fated mate and his daughter is Raul’s daughter. When Raul mated with another Omega as an agreement with another pack, Beryn moved to a little cabin on the outskirts of pack territory.
Raul and Beryn rekindle their relationship over phone calls they make each night. After Raul returns, they mate. That’s pretty much the whole story.
I was left with MANY questions. It felt like a LOT of the story was missing. Why did Raul have to mate with Omega Osmon? Why did they have to have a child? Why did Osmon leave when he did? Did Swiftstorm pack eventually recover? Did anything come from Spencer’s beekeeping? Did Arion get his booty chewed out? UGH… so many questions…
What a terrible situation - having your fated Alpha mate knot you but not mark you as his own. Producing a beautiful baby girl who never met her Alpha father. A broken heart feeling ripped from his chest. An Omega having only the solace of his child alone in a cabin far from the main Pack House and homes of the other Wolves in the pack.
What do you do when a sudden crisis necessitates the intervention of an unwanted Omega? How do you justify him coming to the Alpha's home, especially in the Pack Alpha's absence. It's the last place he wants to be. If a too young life did not need him the Omega would not have gone.
This is a second chance MM Wolf shifter story that shows how what lengths a suffering pack Alpha would go through to help his pack, the surrounding packs, and to prevent a war with Humans.
I knew what I was getting into, it is right there in the synopsis that the alpha refuses his true mate at first... but it was still heartbreaking to read it. The book is good and Beryn is everything we expect an omega to be; just try to look past Raul's mistakes and you'll be able to enjoy it.
At the beginning I was sure I was gonna hate Raul but he turned out to be a sweet Alpha who made a bad decision and hurt Berne. He’s just lucking that he had a forgiving fated mate! This is a new author for me but I will be reading more!
I really enjoyed this book! The story was really cute and entertaining!! I enjoyed the main characters in the story. Also enjoy their interaction with the kids and each other. It It was a very enjoyable book.
3.5⭐️ I really liked the plot of this story, liked the characters and I hope we learn more about them and the side characters. I did find the writing quite choppy and disjointed at times.
Not all arranged meetings work out. It's best to stick with your fated regardless of what others may say. Raul screwed up by banishing Beryn for a truce pact but in the end things work out. Beryn is a firecracker.
I liked the writing and the pairing but was a little short and emotionally wrapped up too quickly to me. But a really nice short read for anyone looking for that. Looking forward to reading more!
I love to read about second chances and boy did the alpha Raul and his omega Beryn needed a second change. Nice story about two people making it work after heart ache.
More like 3.5. Overall I enjoyed it, but as soon as I start thinking about it I have so many questions. Like why almost no one in pack knew omega-mc? He lived in pack more than a year, but when he got to pack house everyone was like "oh, hi who are you? *insert name*? I think I heard something about you" (I already forgot his name, sorry). And it said that alpha-mc would do anything for his pack and was decently loved in it, but then in pack house everyone wary of him? While omega-mc juggles 2 babies and pack's finances alpha-mc is off playing tug-of-war with other alphas? And that's helping his pack how? Instead of talking about their relationship mcs avoided it until the very end.
