Much more than I expected. Excellent devotional, and very practical! I plan to read it again.

I'm not sure what seperates this from Joel Osteenish books.

It comes across as formulaic at times.

An extra star for something Falwell wrote that at least shows some literary capabilities.

As a graduate student of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (Liberty University) I am grateful for what the Falwell's have done. I would never, ever question Dr. Jerry Falwell's love or devotion to God. This being said, I do not think the book totally completed its purpose. This was my second time reading it. The first time I read it like it was intended for, a chapter/devotional every day. This last time I read the whole thing in a couple of days. While I think there are certainly some good aspects of the book, this is not the book I would give to people who were looking to build a stronger faith. I felt too much of the book was spent talking about himself (again, I am not trying to question his motives, I do believe he was trying to show how God worked in his own life/situation. Though I will say, after awhile I just got fed up having to read how Liberty University is a registered name/brand/whatever) and more time could have been spent talking about building faith. I do not think the content always matched the chapter headings always very well and was sadly underwhelmed in general. It is not the book does not have any redeemable value it does. I understand why some would really enjoy it. It is just not for me. It wasn't for me the first time and sadly wasn't for me the second time either.
