Seventeen is an American bimonthly fashion magazine owned by Hearst Magazines. It is targeted at girls and women aged 10 to 25 years old. Originally intended to inspire girls to become model workers and citizens, it quickly shifted its focus toward fashion, romance, and celebrities.

Seventeen was founded in 1944 by publisher Walter Annenberg, owner of Triangle Publications. It was named after the Booth Tarkington novel of same name.

In 1988, Triangle was acquired by News Corporation, and in 1991 Seventeen was sold to K-III Communications, now Rent Group. In 2003, it was acquired by Hearst Media.

In December 2016, Seventeen began publishing only six issues a year instead of ten. In 2018, it began publishing only special stand-alone issues.

🖊 My review: While I was looking for old Seventeen magazines in e-book format, I came across this Seventeen Magazine cookbook. What a tasty read this is! I found a few different recipes for my own use, such as various salad dressings, Hawaiian Curry, Turkey Casserole, and Dagwood Juniors (a tea sandwich). There are full color illustrations of the finished foods. 💫 What I like best is the surprise of finding this. 📌 I would read this again.
