Glory For Sale offers an objective look into much of the "franchise free agency" period that roughly starts with the move of the Baltimore Colts to Indianapolis and ends, with a little rangling, with the move of the Cleveland Browns to Baltimore. This book goes about telling the story from people in the know, and paints many pictures of people that are less than flattering. Art Modell, as much of a villain as he is in Cleveland for moving the team, does come across as somewhat more human than I remember the picture of him in 1995. I can see how things wound up where they did--I still wish that there had been a different solution.

The book seems pretty balanced and fair in my opinion, hence the high rating (4-stars is high for me).
