I have enjoyed this series immensely from the mysteries to the side characters and, of course, Grim, our protagonist who fights monsters and battles to save himself from turning into one. I am sad to see this is the last book, but Boyles kept me listening until the end with plenty of reveals and unexpected twists.
Did Grim become a monster? For answers, you’ll need to grab the series. While these are in KindleUnlimited, I recommend listening to the audiobooks narrated by Michael Kirby. He brought Grim and the secondary characters to life. I grew attached to this motley crew, and the mysteries were well done.
Grim is a rough around the edges monster hunter who images himself hunting with just his dog, but finds himself with a girlfriend and saving strays. We see growth throughout, but Grim is a character with integrity and I immediately rooted for him.
Horatio, a hunter and TV host/YouTube guy, offers Grim a cure. It’s painful and Grim has to agree to be filmed. Only things aren’t at all as they seem in this page-turning tale. I loved listening to it all unfold.
If you like mysteries, paranormal fantasy and characters you’ll connect with, I recommend grabbing your earbuds and listening to the Withering Mysteries. I plan to check out more works from this author.

WONDERFUL - TOO BAD THERE ARE ONLY 3
This has been my favorite series from this author. Too bad there were only 3 while other series from the author, more silly, have almost 30 books. I appreciate the lack of vulgar language and sex in her books. Both of those really detract from good literature and I'm proud of her for standing against the confusing appeal to write something seriously worth reading. I've read many of her book series to date, even the more silly ones. But this one was a refreshing series that I really became invested in. The characters are well fleshed out, the background well laid, the plot wonderful. The hero was really a hero and not a snarky young'un that seems to always know better than the older, wiser, more experienced magical people around them, while at the same time being petty and fearful of their magic, like in so many other books. The hero, Grim, showed real humanity and maturity. I usually give 4 stars if I like a series, and save the 5 stars for the amazing books, like LOTR and Wheel of Time (to name a couple that will be familiar with most readers). But this one gets 5 stars from me so Ms. Boyles, please take that as a great compliment.

“The Withering Storm” is the third in a three-book series. The series follows another series featuring Paige, who is in love with Grim, and whose newfound magic powers mirror the powers of whichever magical person she is with. Grim is a monster hunter who encounters a Withering, a horrible creature whose touch leaves an infection that causes its victims to become driven by the desire to kill and destroy everything around them. Grim is determined to find an antidote to this poison inside himself before it overwhelms his humanity, and ultimately ends up with a world-famous monster hunter, whose TV show about his encounters with monsters has been a hit for years. Horatio claims to have survived the Withering infection himself and offers to cure Grim — if he will undergo the treatment on live broadcasts of his show. The treatment is excruciatingly painful, but even worse is the fact that Horatio has an agenda beyond curing Grim and garnering great TV ratings. Throughout the three books, imaginative and labyrinthine challenges are thrown at Grim and his allies, making an interesting and involving narrative. I’m pleased to see that this author has written several series. I expect to enjoy reading more of her books.

Incredible Series!
This is the final book in Grim’s story. It was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. Amy Boyles did a phenomenal job creating a storyline worthy of someone like Grim. There was mystery, so many twists and turns, dark secrets, friendship, love and the ending was perfect! I can’t do a review that is truly worthy of this series without giving out spoilers and I refuse to spoil another readers joy by including spoilers. Read this series if you have already read Paige’s series, because they connect.

Well now they think that a monster hunter from a tv show can help them they are off to his house. Hoping that this will work, they head out. Things are not what it seems, so what will they do? Grim is to take treatments while on tv and they get to vote on whether he lives or dies. Grim doesn't want to turn into the monster that he hunts. What will happen to Grim will he survive so that he and Paige can be together? Read or listen to see what happens.

Decent ending
This last installment was pretty predictable, but it was still an enjoyable read. There were some things the main character didn’t guess that were very surprising though for storyline’s sake it made sense. It’s a nice wrap up to the two serieses though I think it’s probably the least strong of them all. A nice neat wrap up.

Holy catballs Batman!!!
What an amazing read!!! This would make for a great movie!!! I'm hooked (line and sinker included, lol). Amy has a fan for life! This trilogy is SOOOOO worth the time and read! The characters are perfectly created and awesomely blended! Enjoy this 3 book journey. I surely did!

I like the ending to the Grimm story line. This book was definately better than the 2nd but not as good as the 1st. I like the characters and I hope to be able to read more of this family. I love the dynamics of the characters.

Great way to wrap up the series
I honestly didn't know which way this was going to go. Overall I enjoyed the whole series waiting for this last one felt like forever. However it was well worth the wait.

Very good ending to this trilogy. I really enjoyed reading this book. I found it very entertaining and got involved in what was happening with the characters. I was sorry to see the end.

The bow to tie the series together
I really loved how she finished the series. This story tied everything together and gave us our happy ever after for Grim and Paige.

Great Ending
No spoilers. This was a most interesting story, so many twists and turns. I had no flu how it would be resolved, but what an amazing ending! Highly recommend

This story was a little too intense and gory for me. I prefer stories that are softer and I know there are witch stories that are a lot softer than this one was.

I have read the series and liked it a lot. Especially the relationship between Matt and Grim. Quite funny. I recommend if you want something different to read.

A pretty decent ending to the trilogy. I really enjoyed it. It had a lot of suspense to it too, which I rather enjoy.

A near-perfect ending to an imperfect series.
The story in this one was SO MUCH FUN. I love this Gilderoy Lockhart/Caesar Flickerman-esque new character that was teased in the second book. The plot is strong compared to some of the earlier ones, and it's a satisfactory way to say goodbye to these characters.
I really am sad this series is over. These listen away so easily and are never boring. In general, I am a little bit disappointed with both Grim and Paige. Grim is the main character yet I feel like he has as much character as a cardboard box. All he ever does is grumble. It worked to make him mysterious in The Accidental Medium, but now that the books are from his perspective, it's lacking a little bit. Paige, in her own series, was feisty and full of agency. In this trilogy she becomes a meek daintly little thing that does absolutely NOTHING except hang around Grim looking sad and worried.
Some of the book-specific arcs (The Accidental Medium included) are also pretty weak. I do love the overarching story, but I wish the books themselves would be a bit stronger as standalone stories.
8/10 - a great finale to an unexceptional yet addiciting series.
