My favorite books have always been mysteries and romances, so the mix in romantic suspense was a natural. I love writing romantic suspense because it throws the hero and heroine together under extraordinary circumstances and pits them against a clever villain.

Underestimating Andie
As a former wild child with a lewd past, Andie Devlin has certainly seen more atrocities in her lifetime than most. She's been on the straight and narrow for quite some time and almost has everything in order.
During the course of her brother's wedding weekend, his sexiest operative, Mike, seems to be spending all of his time with her.
Mike is just attracted to Andie as she is to him. Only problem, he's also protecting her as well. Andie has no idea and Mike isn't sure how to go about telling her.
When Andie overhears Mike's conversation with her brother, she feels rightfully betrayed and used. As the wedding is threatened by gang members, Mike must not only get the bad guys but also protect the woman he loves ~

At Last: A Devlin Wedding is the fourth and final book in the Devlin Security Force series. You can read this as a standalone but each book builds on the previous ones so I recommend that you read them in order. There is violence and hot steamy sex so definitely 18+.
The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. The author does a good job of summarizing for new readers who the main characters are and about DSF. There are clues in the storyline that keep you guessing what will be revealed next. I enjoyed this series and am sad that it has ended, though with HEAs.for all the main characters.

A wedding for Thomas and Cleo. He has Mike protecting Andie, she has straighten her life out, and wants their wedding to be perfect. Then gang members get into the wedding. There is chemistry between Andie and Mike, now she feels it was only because he was ordered to watch her.
Good story bringing to the end of this series.

This is the first book that I have read by this author. As this was the 4th in a series, with no "previously ...", I was often confused, especially with the many character relationships. I tried reading reviews of the previous book for help, but neither of the main characters were mentioned in those books. I would recommend reading the previous books before this one, which is what I have to do now.
The book begins at the rehearsal dinner for Cleo and Thomas. Andie is the maid of honor. Cleo is Andie's BFF and Thomas her older brother. Andie and Thomas' mother died when she was young and their military father did not know how to cope, so was not there for them emotionally. Lucky for Andie, that Cleo's mother embraced her and gave her mothering. However, her father then moved them to DC and Andie became a very wild, angry teenager. When she reached bottom, she managed to pull herself together and became a social worker to help teens like she was. The book alludes to a kidnapping, that Thomas and Cleo saved her from, but no details. Mike Pegano was also involved in the rescue (?) and there is an attraction between the two. He works for Thomas's Devlin Security Force. They have been investigating an art theft ring and received info that the ring is going to attack during the wedding. Mike has been assigned to protect Andie, but wants to have a relationship with her. While they spend some time together, they tell each other about their past, but he doesn't tell her about his assignment, so when she overhears her brother and Thomas talking about him guarding her, she doubts herself and believes he was playing her. After being kidnapped, one would think that she would be more careful, but her unchecked emotions put her in peril.
The story moves quickly, with twists, suspense, danger and romance. It would have been helpful, though for a quick synopsis, especially about the kidnapping.

Oh my goodness! I couldn’t put this one down for a second. Susan Vaughan mixes action and suspense alongside heartache and love to create a wonderfully complex experience for her readers.
Andie Devlin is maid of honor at the wedding of her brother, Thomas, and her best friend, Cleo. Thomas is the owner of Devlin Security Force so when he learns an art theft ring is suspected to attack during the wedding he has operatives protecting the guests and one in particular, Mike Pagano, protecting Andie. Mike has been attracted to Andie for a long time (and she to him) but she always pushed him away because he works for her brother. They have a great time and think they might just give in to their attraction. Since Andie doesn't know he had been assigned to look after her, she starts to believe he is really interested in her. When she accidentally hears it's his job to protect her she's pretty upset and angry, so she doesn't want to be near him. This leaves Mike in a bind because he has to protect her from the gang without being near her.
Susan is a very illustrative writer making it easy to picture the events taking place and feeling the heartache and tension of the characters. The book is a great read and definitely captures the reader in the storyline. The wedding was a very romantic setting but the possibility of an attack kept the suspense high. I loved Mike and Andie. Andie had a pretty messy "wild child" time earlier in her life but was stronger now and independent. Mike is good at his job because he's strong and capable. Oh yeah, he's big and handsome, too. What's not to like?
Seriously, this is a great book and I'm looking forward to reading more of this series. I highly recommend this romantic suspense with all it's twists and turns. I appreciate receiving it in exchange for on honest review.

Book four in the Devlin Security Force and it was really good. Andie Devlin is a maid of honor for her brother Thomas and his bride Cleo’s wedding being a former wild child she now keeps men at a distance. Mike Pagano is an ex-marine and now a Devlin Security Force operative , he keeps Andie by his side just as she is ready to let him into her life she finds out the real reason he has been close to her.There is evil out to do harm at the wedding and because Mike did not tell he about trying to keep her safe he can not get close enough to her. Will Mike lose the woman he is coming to love? What happens? I want the next book in this series. I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review. I love this series and can't wait for more to come. You will love reading about Andie and Mike. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Andie has grown up and pushed her past behind her. Mike wants her and wants her in his bed. He hates that he has to lie to her. But Andie may have become their secret weapon though!! Will Andie forgive Mike for lying to her? Will she give Mike the chance that he wants? Will they find the threat that is trying to ruin the wedding?

Glad Andie and Mike got there HEA and was nice to see the other couples but would have liked more on Max and Kate
