Vulnerable AF: Poems

Rate this book
The real-life story of a relationship in the author's past told in verse and short prose pieces. Relatable and honest, with Tank's signature mix of whimsy and realness, Vulnerable AF is about the difference between love and infatuation, the danger and confusion of losing yourself in the idea of someone else, and coming out on the other side of heartbreak with your sense of self-worth--and your sense of humor--stronger for it.

I love every single poem. “When I said I wanted to know every part of you. I freaking meant it.” The poems were relatable and I’m grateful that she was vulnerable because sometimes we feel alone in how we feel in a situation but when you read how someone else felt who was in a completely different situation it confirms that you are not alone and also confirms that you will be ok.

This is both unparalleled and deeply relatable.

I feel there is little out there that matches it in it's dance with poetry, story telling, truth beyond taboo.

Yet this also reads like my deepest moments of heart broken reflection, stuck in a stream of consciousness that won't let me take a breath, followed by immense relief when I catch my self and build her back up.

the way it depicted how vulnerable it is to love someone with your entire being, i sobbed.

This audio was beautiful. There was piano on some and quirky spins on certain poems. I love hearing a poet read their own work. It just has that extra pizaz and emotion.

Good audio reading of the poems and stories. Some segments had a bit of music. If you want music and big drama, go for the albums.
