The truth is, I couldn't. Be a positional genius, that is. This book was lots of fun though while I worked out its exercises.

But for some reason I was not able to learn more tricks or apply the concepts to my games. The main reason I was able to solve the exercises in Dunnington's in the first place, was because I studied Jacob Aaagaard Excelling at Positional chess, first.

My experience may not reflect anybody else's reading this book. I am only an average B level with tactics as my strongest area.

I consider it therefore more of a temporary fun book, compared to a permanent one like Israel Gelfer's positional handbook.
