Isla has escaped and Elias has escaped but they did it separately and don’t know where the other one is at. Isla goes from one bad situation to another and Elias finds his cousin and has a better situation but he is miserable without Isla. They both have been free for about a year. Will they find each other? When they find each other will the danger get them before they can live ? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing book love Elias and Isla and their character development. Great supporting characters. So many twists and turns.

I am literally speechless.
The first book of this duet blew me away. & the cliffhanger ending had me on edge.
But let me just say this. THIS BOOK ATE. It was so much better than the first & it gave everything. So many plot twists. The HEA. all of it.
Riley tied this duet all together so beautifully. Obsessed!

“Because the only one I want to be contained by is you” ❤️
With the cliffhanger that book one left off on I had no idea what to expect going into book 2! I completely devoured this book in a few hours. I couldn’t put it down! This book was just as dark and emotional as book one with the added horror element. This was also in dual POV of Isla and Elias! It was so heartbreaking the trauma they both had to go through. All I wanted to do was protect them!
I don’t want to spoil this book because it was really good! I love the banter between Isla and Elias and how all he wants to do is protect her. Riley and her plot twists, you won’t be able to put it down! The happy moments and the ending were EVERYTHING Isla and Elias deserved after all they went through in book 1 & 2. It was such a beautiful ending for them and everything I could want for them! Please check your triggers though because many dark things happen in this book.

This is the second part of a captivating horror and romance duology. If you haven't read the first, go do that and then you'll want to pick up this book straight away!
Book 1 ends in such a vague cliffhanger and I was hanging out for this to see what happens. This book starts off after a time jump which j didn't expect.
Following the suit of book 1 (cross contained), Riley gives us flashbacks for context that don't derail the story. This happens through book 2 aswell and it ties in great to the plot with PTSD flashbacks.
The ending was beautiful. Glorious. And everything I needed from our main characters and their love story.
I cannot wait to see what Riley writes and releases next! Thank you to her and her team for gifting me an ARC of this.

This book was so good! The plot twist took me for a whirl, never saw that coming!! I absolutely love how much of a fighter Isla is, what a badass resilient babe!
Ripped away from each other and the life of lies they’ve been forced to live in-Eli & Isla have to keep fighting, keep hoping-holding onto the love they have.
Eli & Isla have a relationship most people would dream of. No matter what they go through their love for one another never falters. They still make each other laugh with playful jokes and they still worship each others bodies like they’ll never have enough. They really are the perfect balance of sweet & spice. Eli is so protective and wants to save Isla from all the bad but Isla has the tenacity of 10 people, don’t doubt her.
Even if Eli & Isla find each other again can they destroy the monsters or will the monsters finally destroy them?
Also that epilogue was great, just what I needed in the end 🖤

Just wow…..
I didn’t think I could love Isla and Eli more than I did in the first book, but here we are.
These 2 go through so much trauma and heartbreak it’s unreal. Somehow they manage to come out the other side still so strong. There were times I wanted to climb into this book and take their pain away. I was so drawn in to the story I didn’t realize I was crying during sad parts, laughing at the funny ones, or raging when other characters were being horrible.
The writing style was fantastic as always from this author. The character development and world building between these books was amazing. This is one of those authors that I have never been disappointed by and will continue to support.
If you decide to read this story, please check the trigger warnings. It will not be for everyone, but for those like myself who love a traumatic story this is a good one.

First book left me completely messed up especially after that cliffhanger. I was not prepared for how it ended so it finally have book 2, I was ecstatic but it was a dark and emotional ride to the end.
We are thrown ahead of time from where we left off but we are given flashbacks so we learn the details that lead up to the point where these characters are at. They are both suffering from PTSD from what’s happened to you and it’s so heartbreaking and it’s going to be recovery process is tough. No matter what happens or how much times passes by, these two are endgame and when they finally get together, it’s beautiful. 🥹
Can’t forget how HOT it gets between the MC’s. 😮💨
Please read the triggers because it’s not for everyone. ⚠️

I received this book as an Arc and absolutely loved it!
I read the first book and loved it as well! The story of Elias and Isla will always hold a special place in my heart.
I was out through such an emotional roller coaster! Isla escaping made me so happy! Elias found his family and things were looking up, until finding out where Isla truly was. It warmed my heart when Eli found her and they FINALLY could have the life they deserved! Everything went well and continued to go well, but the whole time I had this put in my stomach that something would go wrong and it did.
I was consumed by this book and couldn’t put it down once I started, I was hooked from the beginning. This is such an incredible story.
I love Elias and Isla and I’m so happy they got their HEA.

Holy Shiitake Mushrooms
This book…the dual viewpoints… the in depth of the characters is even deeper. It seriously makes me wish that this was not just a duology.
I started and continued to read this book in the same night because I could not put it down I just completely lost track of time while I was reading it.
I am completely in love with Elias and Isla and I feel for the trauma that they both have suffered at the hands of so many people. To come through trauma like they had to is no joke and it just makes you fall in love with the characters even more in my opinion.
Again keep in mind your triggers before reading but if you were good with the first you should have no issue with this one.
Again on the edge of my seat in reading this.

Wow!!!!!! I didn’t think that things would pick up where they did since the first book… what a ride!
The amount of strength and self preservation Isla had throughout this entire journey is astounding! How does one go through all that and still have the courage and strength to love and give themselves over to someone else so completely???
I definitely had a feeling about who Peter was and who had written in the journal, I was pleased that it found its conclusion into this book.
The impact alone from that was beyond what most would expect! Absolutely beautiful!!!
I was pleased with the ending and felt like it left you with some questions and possibly another book to come in the future…

Riley has done it again!!! Contained by You is book 2 in the Contained duet and it is EVERYTHING I needed for Elias and Isla.
The plot twists had my heart racing, the spice was 🤌🏻, their banter had me giggling to myself at times, and their love for each other is absolutely beautiful.
“I would spend my entire life searching for her if I had to, because a life without her, wasn’t a life worth living anyway.”
Elias and Isa deserves the HEA after everything they have been through and to see them finally get it made me very happy!
“She’ll shine as bright as the sun for you.”

Major triggers within, check before reading.
Book one was so brutal and full of triggers and book two had more of the same.
Eli and Isla had both finally escaped their capture but now theyre struggling to find each other again. Isla is trapped in more confinement and doing whatever she can to survive whilst Eli is doing everything he can to find his sunshine.
I'm glad they got their happily ever after, they deserved it. And Eli (and in turn Isla because they're definitely married or to be married) got a whole new family who love them.

This book is the second part of a duet that I couldn’t wait to read. The first book Cross Contained left us with a cliffhanger and this book took us on a wild ride to see how the story of Elias and Isla would play out. The twists and turns were heartbreaking, twisted and amazing. The emotions that this book brings out was no joke. Read the trigger warnings before you take on this duet. I didn’t want to put this book down because I needed to see how their love story would end. We saw a strong couple of main characters that had to overcome more than most people just to get their happily ever after.

I enjoyed continuing the story with Isla and Elias. It was wonderful to see the opportunity for positive people to come into their lives. Helping them move towards healing.
The flashbacks, especially for Elias, showed how impactful trauma can be. Also they helped to provide depth to the story.
I felt like there was more that could be explored a bit. Such as with Tony and how he was connected with the individuals from the cult. Why Elias’s dad was so familiar with Tony as well.
Overall it was a good book and gave a nice wrap up to their story.

So after book one I was hesitant, not because it was bad, but because it wasn't really my thing. But I am SO glad I continued. All my questions got answered, and the plot twists omg!!!
Isla was the DEFINITION of survivor! Nothing could break her. Every time she thought she would she found a reason to keep going and that was....
Elias! He seriously was AMAZING! So determined! He would not give up until her found his sunshine! In all the dark in the world he never let it take over, he fought to keep it together. His rage though! But definitely read the triggers before hand.

I didn’t think this book would be able to beat the first in the Duet, but I am so glad I was wrong! This book is so much better than I ever pictured. I was reeled in from the start and loved reading every minute of this next journey for Isla and Elias. The details and writing was so much better in this book and, it was just as dark as the first so I do recommend reading the trigger warnings and make sure to read the first book prior. This is a great continuation, and I’m a little sad there won’t be anymore about these two characters.

This was the ending I needed for this duet. Eli and Isla had my heart from book 1 and this one just made me love them even more. The protectiveness of Eli just makes him even hotter in my opinion. I love that he never gives up looking for Isla and everything he is willing to do to get her back. There were a few moments that Isla annoyed me but I also understood why she was thinking the way she did. Everything she has gone through broke my heart and I needed the ending in order to piece it together. I hope we get some glimpses of these 2 in the future.

Got this one as an ARC, and it was the second book to this Duet. Thanks Riley for giving me the opportunity to review this! Like the first book, this one is DARK so make sure to read TW’s. Isla and Eli went through hell and back in this one, but they found each other and were stronger because of it. The revenge they got on the people who hurt them was everything, and the epilogue was perfect! A solid 4/5 ⭐️ read for me!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! What a thrill!!!! This book answered so many questions about everything that happened in book 1 and even had a happy ending for Elias and Isla! There was so much adventure in this book and so much action and plenty of spice. Definitely read immediately after book 1 and you won’t be disappointed. Loved the character development more AND you get more information on Elias and discover many surprises along the way.

First of all, I cannot believe that it's over. I absolutely loved the continuation of Isla and Eli's story, and I'm sad that there won't be more. However, I was so grateful to have the chance to ARC read for Riley again! Keep in mind that this story has super big triggers - CHECK THE WARNINGS BEFORE READING. I went through so many emotions reading this. It ended in HEA, which I love. Every loose end was tied, and I was left satisfied.

Please make sure to read the TRIGGER warnings before reading. Book 1 was amazing and left you at the edge of the cliff. This one, book 2, all I can say is WOW!
Riley really left me at the edge of my seat the entire book. Feeling all the emotions throughout the book kept me wanting it to never end. Once I finished I wanted to reread both books again. Contained By You was an incredible story. It will leave you wanting more.

Take the trigger warnings seriously on this one!
I read Cross Contained (book 1) and it was a little dark which I was fine with and I was eager to finish Isla and Elias' story in Contained By You. Technically this is a HEA, but there's A LOT of extreme's in this book. I read the triggers and was fine with them, but while reading I had quite a few WTF moments. I don't regret reading the story, it was just very intense.

TOTALLY INLOVE WITH THIS DUET. The satisfaction in me when I reached the end parts like yas gurl y'all deserve that (talking in generally for both the couple and the community) anyways, NEVER BEEN SO SATISFIED MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE, indeed a LOVELY BOOK TO READ. Riley really knocked it out of the park on this book! I absolutely loved this book! If you have not read the first book you definitely should! This such an amazing story about love and willpower. Isla and Eli’s love for one another is so strong, they go through a lot just to be with each other. Riley thank you for letting me ARC on this series I am truly honored.

Contained by You is the second book in the Contained duet. I am so impressed by the storytelling and how everything played out. What an epic conclusion this was!
Isla and Elias has been through so much together. There's so many twists and turns, fantastic character development and amazing plot! Definitely excited to see what else Riley Alves has in store for us!
Isla and Elias has been through so much together. There's so many twists and turns, fantastic character development and amazing plot! Definitely excited to see what else Riley Alves has in store for us!

Book 1 of the duet was dark, twisty with the right amount of spice and book 2 is equally as dark, twisty and spicy!
