She is a hard-working Bubble member. He is a blasphemous Freedom Fighter. Yet they both end up in the Red Flag Trials, fighting for their lives against the impossible odds.Set in the year 2202, cancel culture is potent. The ruling elite had to prevent the misery and despair which wrecked their cities. Offence had to go. Change needed to happen. Happiness must be restored.Once a diligent young worker, Arabella’s perfect life crashes and burns when she first meets the new and intimidating arrival to her bubble- Isaac. His scandalous words and promises eventually land them into trouble with the ruling elite’s new rules.Forced to compete in a series of death trials with five other disgraced bubble members, Arabella can’t help but question why she strayed from her perfect life beforehand. As each trial passes, the people around her that she grew to trust, wither away. Fear and friendship are indistinguishable in the Red Flag Trials, and hope is nothing but a four-letter word whispered in the dark.Despite all this, Arabella can’t help wondering what the bigger threat is… The trials themselves, or her mysterious lover who seems a little too knowledgeable about them.

I loved this read and I’d definitely recommend if you’re a fan of dystopian fiction.

If “the hunger games” and “divergent” had a baby, this book would be the perfect blend of both!

I absolutely loved the twist ending and wish there was a sequel, as I couldn’t put this down!

This book was good but could’ve been so much better. Added more details, dove further into each scenario and scene, given us more instead of pushing the plot along. This felt like the outline of what it could’ve been
