Knowing that you were unlucky was one thing. Knowing that your bad luck was going to kill you was another.
Held by his tie over the edge of the skyscraper, Paul Watchman knew all about being unlucky – his current run of it had lasted about thirty years so far, and was fast approaching being terminal. Until this point he’d made the best of it, simply by avoiding anything that relied on chance. There were, however, some things Paul couldn’t avoid; one of those appeared to be a 300 metre drop.
His impending death wasn’t the problem though. Obviously it was a problem, but all Paul could focus on was Sarah, his long time crush, who, alongside her hapless boyfriend Dom, would share his fate. Whichever way he cut it Paul knew he couldn’t save himself, but maybe there was a chance he could save Sarah. Oh, and Dom.
