I have to admit, it's nice to be pleasantly surprised when you stumble on a book and really enjoy it and with Indelible, that was indeed the case. The story follows College student Sam who after a one night stand falls pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl. Her decision to continue studying at College while raising her daughter is a brave one but leads her to Judd, a fellow student who loves baseball. The plot does include the start of a potential romance but also a decision about whether Sam tells Judd that she is a single mother.

I love that the romance wasn't insta-love, the characters didn't make any stupid decisions. The ending was emotional but one I was happy to see. I would read more books by Bethany in the future.

Indelible was my first book by Bethany Lopez. It was a sweet new adult, single mom romance.

It was told from a double POV, was well written, well developed and a fast read. Although it had its sexy parts, it was a sweet story about a young mom who was going to school full time but also raising an adorable daughter. She (Sam) met a gorgeous fellow student and athlete (Judd) who was accepting of both mom and daughter. Lopez took us through the development stage and then the conflict - although I admit, it had a twist I wasn’t expecting.

Otherwise, it was a multi- faceted story in addition to Sam’s story, the relationship development and school, Lopez also provided insight into Judd’s real life as well. It was totally endearing and a nice afternoon read.

Indelible is a lovely addition to the New Adult genre from author Bethany Lopez!

Sam was a fairly sympathetic and likable character.  As a single mother in school, she worked hard to care for her child and maintain her grades.  Starting off college as a party-girl, as many teenagers do, she realized that it soon got old and she needed to focus on her studies.  So, she did just that.  On a rare night out with her friends, she hooked up with a guy and ended up pregnant with her daughter.  Not a mistake or a regret considering her child came of it, but ironic nonetheless that it happened after cleaning up her act.  She made solid choices based on her daughter’s needs, which, as any good parent would tell you, have to come first.  She didn’t date much and kept guys out of her daughter’s life.  Until she met Judd.

Judd was awesome.  He made this story for me.  Long hair, tattoos, and yet he was a baseball player.  So, it was the best of both worlds given the combination of tatted bad-boy AND jock.  I was told he was a player, but I never really saw it or felt it.  To me, he seemed like a pretty decent, honest, straightforward guy, and I loved him immediately.  Naturally, he fell harder than he intended to for Sam, and their relationship progressed beyond what both had anticipated.  Judd was also dealing with an alcoholic father, and I absolutely adored the way he took care of his dad.  But, nothing makes me melt faster than a hot dude who has a way with kids.  How he dealt with Sam’s daughter had me swooning in a major way over this delish hunk of man.

That leads me to Sam’s daughter.  Straight-up, I admit, I’m not a parent other than to two very spoiled cats.  So, depending on how it’s written, children in a story may work for me…or may not.  Sam’s daughter, other than in her scenes with Judd, did not really work for me.  She was incessantly whiny, constantly crying and screaming and, frankly, a wee bit annoying to me.  I’m not a parent, as I said, but I was raised by two very good parents, and I can tell you they would have never put up with that kind of crap from me as a child.  This kid needed some firm guidance and discipline, in my opinion.  Thankfully, her scenes weren’t all that plentiful.

Indelible is a fun, fairly light-hearted, not terribly deep, easy-to-read story.  Things seemed to be resolved a bit too easily for me, but I was in the right mood for this type of story, and, honestly, I enjoyed it for what it was rather than what it wasn’t:)  Plus, as I said?  Judd.  That’s really all you need to know here;)  Have a good time with this one!  There actually is a very nice story here, and Judd and Sam have some smokin’ chemistry together!!

At first glance Judd was smitten by Samantha, he didn't see her anymore than a possible perfect ending to a long night. Samantha doesn't do one night sands anymore, after all the last time she did she ended up pregnant and the father made his intentions clear, he wanted nothing to do with the child. Judd is not used to being turned down, although he had not made his intentions clear, still he didn't know what it was about Samantha, she got under his skin.

A simple date leads to something truly special between Judd and Samantha. I thought this was a remarkable read, their relationship is not rushed. Samantha is not upfront with Judd about her daughter, but it is completely understandable why she keeps it a secret temporarily I was ga-ga over Judd, he is patient, understanding, and falling hard for Samantha. The pacing's perfect, the story is beautiful, and loved the ending. Excellent read.

My first thought after reading this book was OMG that is the sweetest book!! Indelible is about a single mother who lets a guy into her life before telling him about the little secret she has at home. Sam and Judd’s relationship builds slowly as they get to know one another and somehow along the way, they let each other in.

Sam is doing the best she can to get herself through college. She has a great support system of friends that help her out with her daughter Kaddie. Obviously not everything runs smoothly for her but she is still able to go out with her girlfriend Jamie occasionally and be with adults. She dates occasionally too, but nothing too serious. Her first priority is her daughter and she doesn’t want to let a guy to close as he may not accept them both.

Judd, I liked him immediately. He sees Sam as a bit of a challenge to begin with, but there is something about her that draws him to her. He wants to get to know her more than a one night stand. So, he begins to woo her with dates and simple gestures that had my heart melting… He is just that sweet! Judd also carries some sadness since the death of his mother and is man enough to help his Dad when he needs his son most. They have a great relationship, as his Dad likes to come to his games, so they are able to get through it as easily as they can.

Being a mother myself, I connected easily to this book. Some would say that I’m a single parent during the week so I understand the struggles that Sam goes through. Just doing little things require extra thought when kids are involved. It was an emotional ride as Sam and Judd’s relationship built, and the passion between these two characters is scorching!! I giggled, laughed and shed a tear while reading it, it was that good for me and by the end my heart was so full of joy! With the alternating POV’s it made it easier to grasp what both of the characters were feeling and I loved how Bethany portrayed them both. She has an addictive writing style and I found it hard to put this book down! I enjoyed it immensely and I will definitely scout out more books by Bethany.

4 SOLID STARS

So this is the 4th book I have read by Bethany Lopez and I have to say that this one is definitely my favorite. I have read her Friends and Lovers Trilogy and really enjoyed them, but Indelible was even better. I felt the characters, Judd and Sam, were very relatable. I loved Sam because to me she was such a strong character. I am a mom of 2 boys and even though I am not a single mom, I could totally relate to some of the scenarios that were presented in the book. I liked that Bethany showed the real side of being a single parent. I liked that she showed what it is like to deal with a 2 year old all by yourself and still try to have a normal relationship. I was glad that she didn't rush this relationship with Judd and Sam. I liked that Sam wanted to get to know Judd before introducing him to Karrie, her daughter. What can I say about Judd....he was amazing. I loved that she showed his transformation from player to responsible adult. He was so good with Karrie that my heart melted every time they had a scene together. He definitely makes my bbf list :). Bethany even snuck in a little twist to the story and I am happy to say that I figured it out pretty quickly but it didn't take away from the story at all. It just made me want to see how it all turned out. I'm not going to say anything more on that subject, if you want to know what I am talking about you will just have to read the book.

My only negative with the book is that I wish it was longer. I knew going in that Bethany's books tend to be on the shorter side, which I don't have a real problem with, I just felt that there was more story that could've been told between Judd, Sam, and Karrie. I will say that I thought that the flow of the book was good.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a sweet love story without all the extra outside drama. Plus if you love a story with kids in it, then this is a book you should read....Karrie was so adorable :)

I look forward to reading future books by Bethany Lopez.

I’ve read 3 books by Bethany Lopez and Indelible is so far my favorite. It’s a fast paced story but it will grab you from the beginning. This book had everything I love, a swoon worthy guy, dual POV, steam and a happy ending. My only complaint is that I wanted the book to be longer but I’m not going to complain too much because I knew that going in. Anyone looking for a fast summer read, this is your book!

This book belongs to the sweet category. It doesn't have over the top drama. To me it seemed that Sam and Judd had a realistic relationship than the ones someone will usually read. Maybe the last two chapters made me think that. Don't ask me why I think that, I just do. If you are a YA reader you will love this or a romance reader in general.

Judd was very sweet and caring and not the guy you expect someone to be when he is in college and in the baseball team. Tucker is an a- hole if you ask me. Sam is a good mother and a good person. I enjoyed this book and I hope you will too. It was a quick read and a pleasant way to spend my time.

4 Sweet Adorable, Cute, Happily Ever After Stars!!

Okay before I started reading this book I was thinking hmm is this going to be any good? ohh what if I don't like it!? But you know what it took me by surprise and I ended up really enjoying it.After reading some sad heart-breaking books this is just what I needed to cheer me up!

Indelible is a quick, light, fun, fast-paced read which has you intrigued right from the start as it jumps right to the point. Not saying that the main characters don't have problems and the issues are messed up but its not that bad :D

One night changes Sam's life when a one night stand leads to much more.Sam is a young single mum and is juggling college work with raising a child. Life isn't easy and with no help from the biological father who wants nothing to do with his child, her life is pretty much based around college and her kid, Carrie.

Judd is a baseball player with an alcoholic father who is miserable since his wife died. Judd takes care of him and makes sure things are sorted but for how long can he juggle his father, college work and baseball? He is known as a player, Judd doesn't do relationships and dates.

So what happens when one night he meets Sam at a bar? Judd cant seem to get her out of his head and the mystery around where she lives and so on has Judd intrigued and captured by her.. Sam has Carrie to consider and doesn't know what to say when Judd asks her out..

Things change fast for Judd and Sam but will Judd still stick around when he finds out that Sam has a child?

At the start I thought ahh Judd is like any other player meh not interested but but he isn't I loved how caring he was and thoughtful.
There were just so many sweet moments that made me fall for him!

Sam is a strong independent woman and has been juggling everything alone. I felt every frustration she felt, sometimes kids can be such a pain..

“No one ever plans on hurting someone else, it just happens.”

Tuck..I don't know what to think of him, I just wanted to punch him know what was going on in his head.He seemed like such a nice guy and then boom! everything changes and I'm like wtfff! whhyyy?

Overall I really enjoyed this book..a story of struggle, love, family and finding forever!

This book was a totally surprise! I didn’t expect to be so interesting and I definitely didn’t expect to like it so much! I haven’t read books like that until now and I’m glad I started with this book.

The story describes Sam, a twenty-two-woman who is a single mom. She used to go to parties when she was younger, but after, she decided to focus on school. But in one night she was with this boy and from there resulted Karrie, the sweetest girl on the planet! Karrie’s father is a jerk and he doesn’t even deserve to be near this angel!

description

Sam has met Judd in a bar and he is that bad boy with tattoos and a little man-whore, but he is actually very sweet. The attraction between them was so strong and they couldn’t resist.

description

The action was simple and linear. Even if Sam didn’t want to tell Judd about Karrie because not every twenty-two-woman has a baby and she was afraid because after Judd would find out, he wouldn’t want to be with her. But Judd was so different. When he met Karrie, he played with her and he took care of her. He loves Karrie more than her own father and she and Sam are the most important women from his life.

Judd didn’t have a happy life either because his mother died in a car accident when he was ten and from then, his father started drinking. But he went in a detoxification center and he is better now. He met Sam and Karrie and he likes them too.
The book was shorter than I expected and Karrie’s father was unexpected too. The end was so sweet and I want to write more in this review, but I don’t know what. This book can be described just in one word: AMAZING! What a shame it was so short!

This book was totally swoonworthy!! I really enjoyed Samantha! She actually had her head on straight and tried her hardest to avoid Judd’s attention. She knew she could fall for him from the first meeting, but had bad experiences in the past that led to heart break once the guy found out about her daughter. She figured that she would just go out and have some fun. Judd was known for kinda being a player after all, it wouldn”t go any further right? RIGHT?
WRONG!!!
Samantha got under Judd’s skin. I definitely think he enjoyed the fight to actually get her to go out with him. He was very sweet and not to mention very hawt!!! yuppers! Add him right up there on the book boyfriend list!
I cannot express how much I really enjoyed this book! I liked the fact that there was a little twist with Sam having a daughter. It wasn’t just your typical guy meets girl and they fall in love story. They both were very mature when it came to the child and Sam was a wonderful mother! Her daughter came first as it should be!
The ending had me a little misty eyed. La swooon!!! But, I held it together! *sniff sniff* Ms. Lopez raps up the story nicely and gives the readers yet another reason to adore the character of Judd.
Over all, if you are a lover of new adult titles. You should definitely give Indelible a try!!!

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Indelible is such a sweet story that I finished in a day. It is a quick and enjoyable story that is perfect for a lazy afternoon.

Judd is a college baseball player who is not looking for a relationship. He finds himself drawn to Sam when he meets her out one night. Sam is not his usual type and she isn’t looking for a one night stand because she has more than just herself to think about. She is not about playing games. Sam has enough going on in her life and doesn’t need to waste her time with a player. But Judd can’t deny that he is intrigued enough to want to get to know Samantha – he just has to decide if he is willing to put in the effort.

Judd is really such a sweetheart that you can’t help but love him. I also appreciated how Bethany Lopez portrayed the joys of parenting with the good old toddler supermarket tantrum and felt it made Samantha feel much more real to me. I think the author did a good job of showing both the challenges and joys that Sam faced raising a child while finishing college and juggling her personal life.

This book has so many awwwww moments with a few surprises thrown in to keep it interesting. Not to mention a bit of panty ripping!

I will admit, I went into this book not knowing what to expect, but knowing it was a genre I do not usually enjoy.
Within the first few pages I was hooked, and felt like I had an emotional investment in the life of Samantha. I found myself crying over her frustrations, nodding my head in understanding during her toddler's antics, and praying she didn't get her heart broken.
An incredible story of love, life, and the reality of the young mom as she struggles to protect her daughter while living her life. Excellent read!

Judd - Swooooooooooooooooon. That is all I have to say about that.

It was refreshing to read a college romance that makes you deal with a real life scenario that I'm certain quite a few young woman have to deal with.

Author Bethany Lopez is so good at giving readers quick, satisfying and touching love stories. In her latest book, Indelible, a New Adult contemporary romance, we meet Samantha. She's now a senior in college who aspires to teach art when she graduates. When she was a freshman she partied too much and let her grades slip. Waking up, she changed in time for sophomore year, but a hook-up at a frat party resulted in a pregnancy. Now she's a single parent to an adorable toddler named Karrie and trying her hardest to do what's right for her daughter and for herself.

No boyfriends. No intimacy. No chance at getting pregnant again. Sam is playing it safe. Invited out one night by her girlfriend, James, Sam meets Judd. He's hot, has a killer smile and pushes Sam's buttons. But her number one priority is Karrie. I applaud Bethany Lopez for giving readers a heroine who is different--a single mom who believes her daughter is the most important thing in her life. It was also refreshing to see Sam have nice parents, a normal childhood, and is an all-around wonderful person. Sam changed when her one night stand refused to acknowledge his baby or his parental role. His response to keep him out of the baby's life was extremely cold and this is what resulted in Sam closing herself off to guys.

Until Judd. His inviting smile and good looks attract Sam, but she treats him in a reserved manner. She has to. Told in dual points-of-view, we fully understand and see what Sam and Judd are going through and how they feel about each other. Judd is smitten by Sam's looks and her smile. He even likes how she's not forthcoming with her information. He has to meet her at the coffee shop on campus to ask her out. I truly understood where Sam was coming from. She has a close network of friends from Molly and her husband to classmate James. Sam's parents live forty-five minutes away and help out with Karrie for one weekend a month. Otherwise, Sam is the one raising Karrie, finishing school and working.

Judd makes her feel again but she doesn't reveal information about her herself so soon. Judd is also dealing with his alcoholic widowed father, working, playing baseball and finishing up his last year of college. He doesn't date. He has hook-ups. Something about Sam makes him change his mind as he pursues the redhead with a beautiful smile. I liked both characters and was glad to read their individual perspectives. Even though I felt they connected too quickly, I fully understood Sam needed to be with someone and there is such a thing as instant chemistry. Sam is selfless and still honestly portrayed. Her scene with Karrie in a full-blown temper tantrum grabbed me as a parent. Two year olds are prone to 'losing it' for no reason (also exemplified in the supermarket scene--another scene I've experienced). Sam tried her best to calm her daughter down but had to leave the room to collect her sanity. Any parent understands that. I also liked how Sam would fight with herself to not show emotion when Judd did nice things which touched her. She was protecting her heart.

Sam is strong and the scene where Judd's dad tells her this was poignant. Judd is great. He's also honest and changes when his heart is stolen by a pretty redhead. His voice sounded older to me at times but I later understood why he was that way when he finally opened up to Sam about his childhood and his subsequent growing up quickly. I read Indelible in one sitting, totally engrossed by Sam's independence, her dedication to her child and Judd's increasing love for both of the females in his life. I connected with both, found their story realistic and refreshing, and ended my reading with a smile on my face.

I knew the second I got a chance to review a book from Bethany Lopez that it was going to be great, and I was so right because this book was addicting. I literally received it early in the morning and was done by the time I went to bed. This book was just too good to put down for any reason at all. The characters were great, realistic and their situations were also realistic. I can only imagine how hard it would be to be a single mother and trying to have your own life at the same time. Bethany Lopez bought that out into the light and showed how it could be possible and how some things do work out in the end but not with some hardships along the way.

We meet Sam who got pregnant from a one night stand her sophomore year in college. But with a lot of help and determination she is still in school and raising a child as a single mother. With all of the things going on in her life though she sometimes feels lonely and hasn’t been with anyone since the day she got pregnant. Finally her friend convinces her to go out and that’s when the magic happens, she meets Judd at a bar, not liking him at first of course. Eventually they run into each other again and then they run into each other on purpose.

Their relationship starts to blossom and even though she feels like there might be something there she is hesitant to introduce him to her daughter and her life. As I’m sure all single mothers are guarded about introducing men they are dating to their kids, you don’t want them to get attached if there is no potential there so I completely understand her actions. And so does Judd when she finally lets him meet her family and vice versa. Their budding romance was just overall sweet and seemed kind of perfect and understanding and that’s what I liked about the book the most. Well I can’t deny the fact that there were some very very steamy parts in this book and Bethany did a great job in describing them to her readers.

There was only one thing I knew was going to happen in this book and you know when you know something is going to happen but it still surprises you in the end, those are always good feelings. So now if I didn’t confuse you enough let me just say that overall this book again was very addicting and I am hoping that there will be a second book or more books to this one because there are some secondary characters that I would love to read about, especially James who was an enigma within herself (yes HER name is James). Great characters, lovely story and a completely adorable quick read. Can’t wait to see what Ms. Lopez comes up with next!

The cover is really great because it seems more like real people instead of having models looking all decked out in couture; it’s real and authentic to the story. The title had me interested in what it meant because I had never heard the word before, it does mean memorable and this book definitely was that.

Indelible was one of those books right up my alley. I certainly looooved it. I can’t deny I’m a sucker for any type of NA adult where a baby is involved, be it before the start or in the clichéd epilogue. Going into Indelible I got my wish since the main character Sam is currently a mommy. Seems she learned the hard way that partying and college often times leave the unsuspecting with unfortunate results. Sam is not bitter. Sure life and college aren’t going the way she planned, but she wouldn’t change a thing now that she has her daughter.

Refusing to give up her baby or have an abortion Sam is all alone. The baby’s father basically wipes his hands of both Sam and his unborn baby leaving Sam the sole provider while trying to finish college on her own. Sam doesn’t buckle under pressure though. She gets special housing nearby and works hard to finish school to provide a happy and healthy home for her baby. What Sam never expects is to have a tattooed, bad-boy to catch her eye. Especially one who wants Sam and doesn’t seem inclined to walk away.

Sam has many tough decisions ahead. As if she needs more. Having her daughter taught Sam a life lesson she is not inclined to repeat. Not only that she now has another person to take care of and look out for. Letting a man into her life won’t be easy because Sam is a package deal. Judd won’t give up though. From the moment he sees Sam, he becomes enraptured. Finding out she has a kid, throws him for a loop but he doesn’t back down.

I loved these two together. Judd was able to become a better person with Sam and her daughter in his life. Even he was surprised by his acceptance of Sam’s parental status and her daughter. Between Judd and the lil one alone it was like love at first sight. Judd stepped in and immediately became an anchor to Sam’s little family. He never ran away scared or threw Sam’s past in her face. They really work hard together to make things work and maintain stability for everyone involved. I wasn’t too keen on the climactic ending, but the epilogue wrapped everything up nicely and put a big HEA sticker on it all that made me grin like a kid at Christmas.

I would definitely recommend this novel. I loved how strong and brave both Judd and Sam were. Sure they each had different ways to go about dealing with their issues and their relationship but in the end it all worked out and they came full circle to become a solid family unit. The only minor point I was not a fan of was the baby’s birth father. I was able to figure out the mystery there rather early on and I don’t know, maybe I just wanted Judd to defend her honor a bit more. Not that he didn’t stand up for his girl, but is it so wrong to want the big tattooed ball-player to throw a few punches lol…

I really enjoyed Bethany Lopez's Friends and Lovers Trilogy, so when I found out she had written another new adult romance, I was anxious to read it. Samantha is in her last year of college. She is also a single mom with a beautiful little 2-year-old daughter that she is raising on her own, because the baby's father wanted nothing to do with her. She hasn't let this make her bitter, but it has made her better, as she is now focused on getting her degree and make life better for her and her daughter. She isn't looking for a relationship and in fact, tries to steer clear from getting involved with guys, then she meets Judd, and things quickly change. When Judd walks into the bar that Samantha is in, with his tattoos, long hair, and killer smile, he notices Sam right away. Judd is also in his senior year of high school, and though he rides a motorcycle and has the whole biker vibe thing going on, he is actually a baseball player, and a very good one. Judd doesn't do relationships, he does hookups. He has never been interested in a relationship with a girl, but with Sam doesn't fall prey to his charms, he is intrigued by her. Despite her best attempts to stay away from Judd, Sam isn't able to, and finds herself falling for him, and he is falling for her, which is completely new to him, but when she finally tells him about Karrie, will he run, or will he stay?

Indelible is such a sweet and romantic story, and there isn't a love triangle - yeah!! Both Judd and Sam have gone through some hard things and have hurtful pasts, which have shaped their future. Their relationship can't be a normal one, because there is a 2-year-old involved. Judd turns out to be such an all around great guy, despite his past. There isn't a whole lot of conflict in the story, but they do deal with some things and have to make choices that are best for each of them, as well as Karrie, which are difficult. There is a bit of a twist at the end, which I suspected was coming. Judd and Sam are the kind of characters that you want to see things work out for and I liked both of them. There are a few steamy scenes also. Overall, I found Indelible to be a fun, enjoyable, feel good romance that left me smiling.

Quotes:
I loved what Bethany put in the beginning of the book: Indelible - Physically impossible to rub out, wash out, or alter - like a mother's love or a tattoo.

“No one ever plans on hurting someone else, it just happens.”

“Women who were so skinny that their hip bones stuck out just pissed me off. If I wanted a bumpy ride I'd take my bike out to the train tracks.”

If you're looking for a sweet romance with a player turned perfect step up daddy, you found the right book. This book is not too short but short and sweet is what comes to mind when I describe Indelible. It's funny at times and then it has its emotional moments but nothing too deep.

Sam is a young woman in college who had a one night stand two years ago and is now a single mother struggling to provide for an adorable little 2 year old while finishing her degree. She is a strong, independent woman who has some incredible friends to help her out when she needs a helping hand with her daughter. When she found out she was pregnant, she told the one night stand ass (I won't call him the father because he doesn't deserve the term) and he said he didn't want anything to do with the kid and not to put his name on the birth certificate.

Judd is a tattooed, hott, baseball player and a player to boot. But that seems to change the second he lays eyes on Sam. She doesn't fall for his bull or his pick up lines. She can't afford to, being a single mom, but he doesn't know that and won't find out for a while. He pursues her and starts to fall for her. But Judd has other problems in his life, one being a drunken father having a difficult time coping with the death of his wife and another being barely making ends meet to support his bills while playing college ball.

When Judd finally does find out about karrie, Sam's daughter, he's upset for a moment hat she lied but in the end he already cares for Sam so accepts it. He was amazing with Karrie, and became an almost instant husband/father by helping with Karrie and introducing them to his father. There is a surprise that comes out about Karrie's "Father" but the problem dissolves within a couple pages.

I think this was a cute story all wrapped up perfectly. I didn't feel like there were any obstacles and the story just fell into place easily, and if I'm being honest it was a little too perfect at times. There were a lot of situations or problems that arose that just went away too easily and too quickly. I guess that's why I have to give it 3-3.5 Stars. I did like it but it didn't feel like a real life story that I could believe at times, more like the perfect fairy tale. At times a little too perfect.

This was such a cute and sweet story. I loved everything about it. I've been dying to read Indelible ever since I took part in the Cover Reveal back in June. I really love that cover, and it's exactly what I picture Sam looking like.

Sam was a great protagonist, and I really liked her. She was a single mother trying to juggle school, work, and her daughter. I felt proud of her accomplishments, and I thought she was strong for not needing a man around to make her feel good about herself. She was so courageous for doing what she did near the end of the book, and I could totally understand her decision to do what she thought was best for everyone involved.

Sam managed to surround herself with the right people, and stayed away from anything and anyone who could potentially hurt her daughter. I really liked Sam's friends. They were so supportive of her! I thought they gave great advice, and they were always there when she needed them.

I ended up really loving Judd. He starts out with a bit of a questionable reputation, but he quickly won me (and Sam!) over. He turned out to be a stand up guy with a big heart. He was patient and understanding, and just what Sam needed in her life. Plus, it didn't hurt that Judd was pretty darn adorable when he was around Sam's 2 year old daughter.

The relationship between Sam and Judd was enjoyable to read about, and I liked that it took time to develop. I loved how honest they were able to be with each other, which made it easy to want their relationship to work out. I liked that Lopez managed to create a realistic conflict between Sam and Judd that they had to work through, and she wrote it without the over the top drama and angst that seems to plague NA books.

The pacing was great, the writing was terrific, and the romance was believable. This is such a lovely story with real characters. It has a cute and sweet romance, and it was a really quick read. I do wish the book was longer because I enjoyed it so much, and I liked spending time with the characters. In the end, this book left me with a huge case of the warm fuzzies. Indelible was a very satisfying and wonderful story that I highly recommend.

I totally <3 Bethany Lopez! I read her Lovers and Friends books on a whim a few months ago… and it was love at first book!

This is a New Adult book which of course is all the rage right now, and I jumped on the wagon pretty quick! However, this book is slightly different… A lot of the New Adult books involve drugs, drinking, and sex sex sex… but this book, it goes a little deeper, it looks at the end result of all that college sex and partying… it involves having a baby a little too young (although it is almost common in our society now), but its not a ‘poor you, you got knocked up and now your life is over’ story.

This book introduces us to Sam, one of the strongest female characters I have read in a New Adult Romance book. I say that because she DIDN’T give up! She kept going to college, albeit under way different circumstances then she was expecting when she first started, but she kept going! The fact that she didn’t just quit as most people in her position might do (I mean that with absolutely NO disrespect!) made this whole book worth reading to me.

Then we meet Judd… and things just kept getting better and better! He was super hot, charming, loyal, and so super sweet. The fact that Sam dropped her little bomb on him, and yea sure it rocked him a little… but he dealt with it as a man would! I fell in love with him every time he spent time with Sam’s little girl.

This book was fantastic simply because it was different a lot of New Adult books are the same (I still love them though don’t get me wrong!) but sometimes you need a little more then a love triangle, hard upbringing, partying, drugs, and of course sex.

Yea, you will find a little drinking and sex and all that, but in my opinion it focus’s more on dealing with the cards life deals you. You can either lie down and let life beat you, or you can overcome each and every obstacle and make the best of everything!

Thank you Bethany for writing another fantastic book that is as heartwarming as it is heartbreaking!

I rated this fabulous book 5 leaves!! Indelible is about a party girl named Sam, who finds herself pregnant from a one-night stand. After confronting the father, she learns he wants nothing to do with her or the baby. Two years later, Sam and Karrie are living their lives. Sam is ready to graduate school and become a teacher. Being a single mother, Sam has a difficult time meeting guys. Her girlfriend invites her out on the town, which is where she meets Judd. A hard working athlete, Judd has never had to work for female intimacy. At a bar, he spots Sam and is instantly drawn to her. She intrigues Judd enough to entice him to pursue her.

I have to say, I love Judd! I mean, he is a baseball player, drives a motorcycle, and has tattoos. I’m totally in love! Yes, he had a bit of a womanizing past. He isn’t perfect, but he is real. Judd has a big heart and was great with Sam's daughter (that alone should've sealed the deal). He’s just a fantastic guy who loves his father. To me, Judd is a real hero when he steps up to a role he hadn't imagined happening. But you just have to give it to Sam as a single-mother. I can’t imagine how difficult it was for her to have a baby when she was still in school and a kid herself. Things would have been different, if she didn't have to go through it by herself.

As this is the first novel I've read by Bethany Lopez, I immediately noticed her strong, unique voice in her writing. It’s gripping, free-flowing, and I found myself devouring it quickly. The character development was great; you really saw the struggles each of the main characters went through. Judd and Sam’s romance was fun to read, because they were so great together. In the end, I really enjoyed this one. It's romantic, but it's also very realistic and relatable.

Indelible

I am constantly saying this about fictional characters, but I want my very own Judd!

I genuinely loved this story. Indelible by Bethany Lopez follows Samantha, Sam for short as she raises her 2-year-old daughter while going to school full-time, working and attempting to have a life for herself. Sam isn’t exactly the relationship type that is until she meets Judd, sexy bad boy baseball player, but a good guy at heart.

I think Lopez did an amazing job of capturing what life as a single Mother is like. Things aren’t always unicorns and rainbows. There are bad days, days where you feel like you want to tear your hair out of your head and we get to see that. But we also get to see the good moments that Sam has with her daughter and her close friends.

Let’s talk about Judd. I think what I love most about him (outside of his sexiness, tattoos and motorcycle) is his ability to be honest with Sam. Sure he was a player but his feelings for Sam were genuine and I love how they grew close so quickly because honestly relationships and connections are built quickly in life.

I am also incredibly glad that Lopez found a solid realistic conflict that Judd and Sam had to work through. So many authors toss in characters getting angry at each other for stupid reasons or because they have one won’t listen to the other explain and nonsense like that. But I genuinely understood their conflict here and I understand why things went the way they did.

I loved reaching all of the moments the Judd shared with Sam and her daughter and this might have been one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever read. I’m not going to lie; I cried big slobbery happy tears with this one and I absolutely recommend this story. It was beautiful story about overcoming the odds and finding love when you least expect it. Something that I can totally get behind!

The characters

Samantha's life may not be perfect but she's happy. She has less than a year to graduate from college but unlike other girls her age,she doesn't attend parties or date. Why?Because two years ago that's exactly what she did and one night her life dramatically changed.A one night stand led to an unexpected pregnancy. The good news was that she had her parents' support and love. The bad news? The baby's father didn't even want to be on the birth certificate. But Sam got over that, and now she plans her future along with her beautiful daughter. All this time she had her two best friends,Molly and James,to have her back.

Dating for her is out of the question but then she meets Judd..She's not ready for a relationship yet and neither is he.So they start meeting each other for coffee and they go out on a couple of dates.Everything is great for them but Sam hasn't told him that she has a daughter. For the first time in a very long time she enjoys herself but she's also scared that Judd will leave her if he finds out her secret.

All it took was one look at Karrie and he immediately loved her. After that he started spending more time with Sam and Karrie. He couldn't imagine his life without them.It was like the girls filled a part of him that after his mother passed away has been empty for years.Of course he has his father and it was hard for him to put the past behind.

Judd couldn't have been happier but then scouts attend his games and he realizes that football might not be over for him.But that means leaving Samantha and Karrie behind in order to live his dream...

Verdict

Indelible is a sweet, romantic story that you will fell in love with. This story could actually be a real one and it's about finding yourself, trusting people and giving yourself a chance to start over and get your 'happily ever after.'

Indelible... I had some pretty high expectations of this book after reading the book summary. So I knew I was either going to be disappointed or satisfied after reading this book. So luckily, I am happy to report that this book was pretty good! The story line was pretty unique and the struggles the characters went through seemed to be pretty on point. This made it more realistic for me and allowed me to connect better with the characters and their plight.

Sam was a character to admire. She was a strong character that had many obstacles, but still managed to do the right thing. Even though she had a daughter, she still went to college and had a job. While she definitely had a good support system, it was clear throughout the book that Sam was raising her daughter by herself. I really liked how the author made Sam into an admirable character. It's really what added the fourth star onto my review!

Judd. It was really hard not to fall under Judd's spell. I mean he was this hot (from what I read) baseball player who wasn't looking for anything serious, yet when he found Sam, he was suddenly the most monogamous guy out there. While I thought this was a little un-realistic, it added a nice touch to the story and it was nice not to read a book where the main male character had trouble keeping it in his pants. (Let's be honest, there are way too many books of that type). Throughout the book he seemed to really fall under the spell of Sam and her daughter, which I adored.

The conflict of this book was a little different than the usual. It was more like some minor speed bumps that led to one large, but somehow not so bad, speed bump. This was one of those heart warming romances that drag you in and make you feel good inside after reading it!

Indelible is the perfect light read that is necessary in any TBR list!

3.5 Star Review

Indenible. Unforgettable. Memorable.

One night and one guy changed Samantha’s life. She went from being the average college student to being a single mother working her way through her last year of college. Raising a child all alone has left her with no desire to meet or be sexually intimate with a guy. She vowed to never allow herself to be in that situation again. That is until the night she met Judd. Everything she thought she needed went against everything she wanted. Will she be willing to let him in and put her fears of a relationship aside? Or will she run away from happiness to avoid getting hurt again?

Judd is a player on and off the baseball field. He is unsure of what he is going to do after college, and has doubts the big league is in his future. With all the uncertainty in his life he is not looking for anything or anyone to tie him down. That is until he first laid eyes on the fiery haired girl across the bar. Sam kept him on his toes like no other girl has done before, and he just can’t seem to get her off his mind. Can he finally settle down or does his womanizing ways catch up to him?

Judd was the smoking hot motorcycle riding athlete. He was just as sweet as they can be, and I wanted more of the bad boy you don’t want to bring home to momma. Sam was way too serious of a character. Yes she has a kid, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have a life at all. I did however love how strong of a person Sam was.

This book was an enjoyable fast read. It had its moments where I was not able to put it down, but then other moments I was bored. It needed a little bit more angst and drama for me. Everything just seemed too perfect. It was an overall good book, and I would recommend reading it.
