I absolutely love this collection of poems. Sections include: love, war, travel, humor, faith and family. The list of poets includes Rumi, Edgar Allan Poe, William Blake and Robert Browning. Any fan of poetry should own this. It's so sweet and compact. I love taking it along with me and pulling it out for a small poetry moment.

I try really hard to like poetry, sometimes with limited success, but this collection helped me out a lot. It's a lot of canon stuff, nothing too modern or pretentious or esoteric. Lots of rhyming and cadence. Good stuff.

I loved rediscovering the cadence and call of poetry! I especially enjoyed Shakespeare's "Sonnet XXIX," John Milton's "On His Blindness," and Sam Walter Foss's "The House by the Side of the Road."
