Not that I'm passing judgement on the well-intentioned authors! I'm sure they've had more than enough of that, and there's no point in humorous comebacks to laugh it off. That's what bothers me so much about this book: We put patches over the wounds. The author allows her sons to disrespect her, and her writing shows that she disrespects herself. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words DO hurt!
Sure, this world is a long way from the heaven we long for, but let's not let our failure to attain perfection in this world taint our vision. Please stop bickering at each other like a bad sitcom when you're not matching expectations! Thank-you.
Hilarious book of "crazy things that happen to Becky Freeman (Johnson)." Extremely well written. Both funny and poignant. This was the break out book for the author, and co-written with her mother.
