Allra mest tar jag med mig tipset ”Be kind to your future self”.
I’ve followed Emily for years on YouTube, so when I found out she’d written a book of Mum hacks, I knew I had to read it. I just wish that I’d read a book like this a lot sooner, as it would have made me feel a lot more confident as a mother. A must read for all Mum’s out there!
Important to note - I’m clearly not the target audience. I don’t follow insta influencers closely and I don’t want advice on how to make cleaning “fun” so I found this a frothy, pointless book but…I can see how new, overwhelmed mums (it’s aimed at mums) might enjoy and feel reassured so one star..
A book of hacks and tips to get through everyday life with kids. This is mostly aimed at parents with younger children but i still saw some handy cleaning and travel tips.
I started watching Emily Norris whilst preparing for the birth of my son. He’s now 4 and I can say with complete confidence that there is no one on earth, online or in person that I’ve learned more from or found more comfort. Her YouTube channel was a mainstay of stressful sleep deprived days and toddlerhood when looking for ways to solve any number of challenges. I bought the book because I thought years of creating content deserved my purchase, not even intending to read it. But of course it arrived and I read the whole thing in a couple days. This book, and all the memories from those early motherhood days will have a special place on the book shop. To any new moms, I highly recommend!
