For some reason I felt that these stories would be largely (where possible) written by the person themselves. In fact all were written by the author and of course from her perspective. You could describe the stories as 'positive' though each had death as the outcome. Not what I had expected at all.

This book is not easy to read as it discusses people who live with life threatening chronic diseases. I learned a lot about compassion, forgiveness, kindness and unconditional love. I can't wait to meet Petrea when she visits Tamworth library for an author talk next month.

Wow what a book! This book is not one of those that you shouldn't read in one breath. I love the stories and all of the wisdome that people from those stories learned themselves and than used it to help others in need. I found myself in different aspects of the example from different people and I love how the book is concentrating on positive and not on negative sides of life.
This book "picked" me.When I was looking trough the books that are australian authors I choose this one because of the cover, but I didn't have a clue at the time how amazing this book is. It is sad that many of us know someone at some poin in our lives who is strugling with life treatening illness and this book helps me to understand what are they going trough a bit better. Thank you Ms King

The author is very compassionate, but I think some of the resolutions she suggests might do more harm than good.

This book made me cry for the half pages! According to her perspective, it seemed that Petrea King had the energy to encourage people with her words, she was able to support people to overcome their struggle. I was touched by her beautiful writing, although slightly if you read it thorough, the book is a light read, but her words content with energy that can move anyone's heart.

But that's it, until the later pages, she seemed to give people an advice that other therapists wouldn't dare to say, which could lead to disapproval, and in worst case scenario could do harm to her patients.

Overall, a good read for giving us a sense of humanity, makes us aware of our surrounding, especially the thought of hereafter.
