If you read my reviews on the first books in this series then you know… I just really love this series. I can’t pinpoint why. We are all familiar with a planet full of males who ate hot, built, strong yet could never hurt a female. But for some reason, I really like these the best. Maybe because they are shorter. Maybe because there is more “couple against the world” than “couple against each other.”
That said, there was a weird forced dynamic between these two. They are trapped together. They seem to get along fine. They make out. A few days later he has a moment where he yells at her. Then he apologizes. Then they, out of no where, start “hate making out”.
“Touch me.” She guided my hands to the globes of tantalizing flesh on her chest. “You told me not to,” I said against her mouth. More tongue. More sensation.
“I’m inviting you now,” she whispered in my ear. Then I rose again to kiss her lips. My hand found the back of her head, drawing her tighter against me. I wanted to taste more of her, to devour her completely. Fingernails clawed my back and I shivered with the sensation. “You’re so mean to me,” she said. “I hate you.” “I hate you, too,” I answered, delving deeper into our kiss…
“Damn you,” she said, kissing me even harder until my lips tingled. “Damn you and your freaky tail. Damn you and everyone who looks like you.” “I hate you and your whole tribe,” I said against her neck. “Females are nothing but trouble.” “You’re a monster! A hideous ogre!” She lost words as our lips came together, opening, mouths together.
And it goes on like this.
Where did this come from? They were making out like 2 days ago, no sign of hate or anger. This was the most forced dynamic I think I have ever read.
And it disappears as suddenly as it came. So random and weird. Like… the author isn’t into that kind of thing but heard it was hot to other people so.. randomly decided to make a couple “hate kiss”…
Weird.
Anyway, still enjoy the books. And I especially enjoyed our virgin hero trying his best to learn…
“Laicer,” her breath hitched. “What are you doing?”
“I don’t know,” I admitted, my tongue darting out. She tasted as sweet as she promised.
“You’re crazy,” she groaned. “And maybe I am, too.” Twisting in my arms, she turned to face me, her wide eyes searching my face. “Kiss me.” Then she leaned forwards, pressing her mouth to mine, the touch sending sparks through my body.
“I don’t know how,” I said around her soft lips.
And
Lust filled eyes studied my exposed sex. “You’re going to need a little instruction,” I whispered.
“Teach me.” He kissed my inner thighs, drawing his tongue along the muscle, making me jump.
“You’re on the right track,” I said.
But then when it comes to “the deed”… his first time… she gets 3 orgasms before he cums! Really? Because the last time she touched his dick he came super fast. But now, today, he is tantric?!

Raelyn is ecstatic to find Laicer, her one hope of surviving the world under the surface, even though he doesn’t seem to be as happy with it as she is. Now the two of them have to survive the underworld, and find their way out- a task that might just be impossible.
I was ecstatic myself, to find out Laicer survived his dramatic last stand, since we last saw him fending off the enemy while his best friend tries to get Allison to safety!
This book continues our story of the survivours of a spaceship crash on a primitive world, and their interactions with the residents. Their being stranded may not have been planned, but it certainly seems to have been a catalyst!
Raelyn and Laicer have some interesting adventures, and find some interesting things while doing it, and intriguingly enough, this might just provide us with the ability to get some answers to the questions we all have regarding the makers and the reavers.
An enjoyable, quick read, landing us back in the world of the reavers, and promising us some interesting events in the future.
This is a good read for sci-fi romance fans, and those who love the Reavers and their world.

August 27, 2023I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Reavers Return . I absolutely love this sci -fi romance series . It's full of adventure and it's action packed and entertaining . I cannot forget romance . This is the seventh book in Thaxian Warrior Mates series . Raelyn has been living with some of the other human women in the Aerie after being rescued by the Sen'ki . While Raelyn and Maisie are collecting herbs she was captured by the Grelzok underground dwellers . When they get her underground she is rescued by a Ken'ki warrior Laicer who has been trapped underground after escaping the Grelzok . As Laicer and Raelyn work together to find a way out feelings develop but so does more danger . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

I saw this series was not done, and still I started it. I figured by book 7, I wouldn't care anyway. Let's face it-in this sort of series, by book 7, they are just copying what has been done before. And I don't read anymore after that point. This one, however, is amazing. I want more. I need to know about the makers, and the Grells, and the mech armors! Cannot wait for more to come.

3&1\2 solid 🌟's for Reaver's Return
A solid entry in the Thaxian warriors series but not my favorite. Raelyn was kind of annoying but by the end I found her tolerable. Laicer , was interesting and I'm glad he was able to survive and make it back topside but once again not my favorite. This story did further the timeline and the enemy down below was felt a sever blow. I've really enjoyed this whole series thus far and will continue to read it. This one just wast my favorite.💖🌟

The two main characters meet in a most unusual way. Neither seems to trust the other, but the alternative is even worse. While Laicer thinks Raelyn is quite weak, he quickly realizes she so much more: a quick thinker, smart and actually a good shot. But even more, she’s actually becomes very loyal to him. Laicer who thinks of himself as a loner, certainly doesn’t understand her. But then which human male can claim to understand a female? Danger is their constant companion who brings them closer together.

An interesting story that has been anticipated in the Starr Hundreds series since the 3 tree dwellers lost their friend to the underground dwellers. It's a bit of an adventure with captures, escapes, water fall slides, hidden underground tunnels, weird villages in the underground caverns, and crazy... Oh and a rescue of a kidnapped girl in there too. The couple has an interesting relationship... I think its a good story. Lots of adventure... I think the story has left some loose ends so there could be more in the series eventually.

While this is not my favorite book in the series, I was happy to find out that Laicer was alive and to see him get his own mate. Raelyn was a bit abrasive, but then that’s why she didn’t have any friends, and I liked how they rubbed each other the wrong way at the beginning. The author did a good job on having them balance each other out in the end, so I did enjoy reading the story.

This story grabs you right from the start!
Raelyn and Laisor are both snarky, sarcastic individuals who are more alike than they think they are. It reads kind of like a grump/so shine book, but they're more like grump/ grump. I enjoyed their banter as they had to come together to survive the dangers underground. They both almost died multiple times, but always save eachother. The book is packed with adventure and heat and was hard to put down.

Entertaining Series
I'm enjoying the Thaxian Warrior Mates series. The vastly different reavers clans give a vivid picture of what is happening and each beginning to work together. instead of battling against each other shows that just because something has always been doesn't mean it should continue. Change is often positive and even though we all have differences we can get along for the good of all

Beneath The Ground
Beneath the ground, love was found! I so enjoyed this latest book, the Reavers are amazing. I was glad that Lacier survived and that Raelyn found her alien happiness. There was a lot of action and I couldn’t stop reading. Hopefully this series won’t end for a while.

Reaver's Return
I love this on_going saga about a world created by the Makers who created various beings just to watch them wage endless war. The Reavers are huge beings of various kinds that have been helping human females survive after their crash landing. The world building is epic, the adventures are amazing, and the HEAs are wonderful.

Laicer and Raelyn’s bond grows through shared danger and emotional vulnerability, and their dynamic is both tender and scorchingly intense. The cave setting adds a claustrophobic tension that amplifies every moment. Easily one of the most heartfelt stories so far.

Too much
Ive liked this series. This book however was just too much to digest. All the different species underground were a bit much. It took away from the main characters. I m sorry but i did not feel the vibe with these two. Overall a good series.

Which is why I liked book.
The couple are not really a matched pair but their attraction grows as they are both stuck underground.
Did not believe author made the varied groups, conflict mesh but I just enjoyed the events

What a great story, I enjoyed reading this book, the storyline is filled with action and adventure. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

Wild!
Oh, this is such an adventure. The series is full of Readers that are clones and have never seen females before the human women end up on their planet. Then the whole place turns inside out. What an adventure! Each Reader and their mate find a HEA.

The Reavers
There's always action and excitement in all the Readers books, as well as a lot of love and affection. I also like the fact that the women are always brave, and smart. The Tension warrior mates are also page turners. Each book has a different adventure. Enjoy!
