A small town governed by greed and corruption. Then Mason Sharpe rolls in.

On a dark Alabama highway, army veteran Mason Sharpe witnesses a terrible accident. As he fights to rescue a woman from the burning vehicle he notices one of her eyes is bright blue, the other deep brown. Then, she vanishes. Gone without a trace.

When Mason describes her to local police, they’re stunned. His description matches one Delia Crawford, famed for her unusual eyes. But Delia disappeared as a child, eleven years prior. How could she possibly show up in a car accident now?

But Mason knows what he saw. His gut tells him something deeply sinister is going down, and Delia Crawford is somehow involved.

Why will none of the locals talk about Delia? Why is one mining company still turning big profits in a town crippled by the industry’s decline? And why is Mason being followed by two shady characters in a pitch black pickup truck?

Like a hunting dog on the scent, he digs deep to uncover the grim truth — and comes to the attention of some very violent men.

They want him gone, but he’s not going anywhere. Push Mason into a corner, and he’ll push right back. All the way to the End Game.

While driving through Alabama, Mason Sharpe witnesses an accident. He stops to help but discovers both drivers dead. However, in the back of the van, he sees a young woman. When he tries to open the door, it is jammed shut. He breaks a window but she wont come to him. He goes to his own car to get a crowbar to try to pry it open but, by the time he gets back to the van, the woman has vanished.

When the police arrive, he describes the woman. She has one distinctive characteristic that makes them suspect she is a local girl who disappeared eleven years ago. Mason, an ex-cop, stays to help the police but soon finds himself involved in a case of human trafficking and in the crosshairs of some very dangerous men.

End Game is the third book in the Mason Sharpe series by Loga Ryles and the first I have read. All I can say about it is this is one fast and furious thriller from first page to last. It kept me up late needing to know what happens in the next paragraph, the next page, the next chapter and I loved every heart-pounding minute of it. If you’re looking for a high octane thriller, this definitely fills the bill.

I received an arc of this book from Netgalley and the publishers in exchange for an honest review

End Game is another good story about Mason Sharpe from Logan Ryles. I am glad I gave this series a ry, now I have four more books in this series to read. I like the characters in this series and the fact that they are not like all the other wandering hero stories out there. I can recommend this author.

This is book three of the Mason Sharpe Thriller series and Mason is on his way to Florida, when bad weather causes and accident right in front of him. He stops his truck and rushes to both of the vehicles, to see if he can help any of the drivers. He finds both drivers are dead, but on second look, finds a young woman curled up in the foot well of the van involved. He can’t open the door and smashes a window, but the woman crawls away from him, terrified. He rushes back for a crowbar, only to find the woman has disappeared in the meantime. He calls the emergency services and soon has a plethora of ambulances and the local sheriff’s office around. The local sheriff asks him some questions and asks if he could come back to the station to answer some more, at least he would be out of the rain and get a hot drink. When he is asked again for a description of the young woman, her unusual eye colour has Sheriff Rakow producing a picture of a child who disappeared over ten years ago from summer camp, aged just fourteen. She is Delia Crawford and she has never been found. To have her suddenly back in the area of the small town of Able, Alabama, seems highly unlikely. Rakow however believes him, due to Sharpe’s army and police experience. Mason is certain about what he saw, but what he has done, has opened up a whole can of worms!

Mason knows what he saw and Rakow asks him to stay for a few days while he looks into it. He knows something is very wrong in this county and someone Delia’s disappearance and now reappearance is part of it. No one really seems to want to talk about Delia and Rakow’s own father was the sheriff at the time and there are reports online of the original investigation being messed up and evidence hidden. That leads Mason to a nearby author who wrote a book about Delia’s disappearance, to ask more about what happened. He is also being followed by two locals or East European appearance, one of whom took a photo of his truck’s license plate, before he was threatened physically shortly after. That leads to his goof favour with Rakow being broken and Mason told to leave. But that is exactly the wrong thing to do to Mason and it makes him more determined to find out what is really happening in this small county. The ones who organised the attack on him, the Krols, are the sons of a man who owns the local mining rights to a mineral long abandoned. With also a local private hunting camp having far too much security, it all raises questions for Mason and he is determined to work out what is happening. Certain people in the town might want him gone, to keep their secret and nefarious endeavours going, but they will find him like a dog with a bone. He has a scent of something wrong and won’t give up until he finds the answers. A shocking tale of some of the realities of human trafficking and how they can pop up anywhere, especially when people turn their heads and don’t question things that are out of the norm! A very violent ending that is taken to the extreme, so beware if you are a bit squeamish. I look forward to catching up with this character in more of the series. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout ad I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

Mason Sharpe has some lethal skills. In this little town, he’s going to need them.

This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series!
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The story begins with Mason driving on his way to Florida. He witnesses an accident and then goes to check the individuals in the accident. He discovers that both drivers are dead, but when checking the van he spots someone in the back. While returning to his truck for a tool that he can use to free the woman passenger, he discovers that she has fled. While provided information to the sheriff on the scene, he provides a description of the woman who fled. He learns that this person has been missing for over 10 years. The sheriff after questioning him then takes Mason to his cabin.

Later Mason and the sheriff discover a young girl who has the same eyes as the woman paasenger that fled. Later Mason winds up falling into a trap and is told to leave town. Mason knows somethings is fishy and then starts his own investigation. Eventually he makes a discovery which leads him in the right direction. The only problem is it also becomes quite dangerous for Mason.

To discover what Mason ultimately found, what dangers he had to overcome and what kind of fight he became involved with, then you need to read this book. You won't be disappointed.

When driving through Alabama on his way to Florida, Mason Sharpe witnesses an accident. When trying to rescue a young woman, she runs away but the description he provides to the local police matches a missing girl from 10 years ago. He plans on leaving and continuing on his journey but events conspire to make him curious.

I thought this was the best so far in the series. Compelling as ever and full of action, the whole storyline of human trafficking and a connection to a bauxite mining operation had me hooked. The writing is top notch and I found it so easy to read and I raced through it. I'm enjoying the Sharpe character and while I hope he finds peace soon after the death of Mia, part of me hopes it's not too soon so the series can continue for a long while yet.

If you have read the 1st two Mason Sharpe books, you know how really good the stories are. This one is even more exciting than those. Driving through a small town on a rainy night, Mason witnesses a two car accident. The two drivers are dead, but a young lady is still alive. In the time it takes him to go get a crow bar to release her, she disappears. The police are disinclined to believe him, because his description was of a girl that disappeared 11 years ago. Obviously, Sharpe is going to investigate on his own, if necessary. The help he gets from them is suspect, because it could involve corruption. Somebody doesn't want him to stick around and for good reason. There is crime of international proportions here. They should have left as soon as Mason got to town.

Getting better with each book!

With the third book in the Mason Sharpe series, Rules has hit his stride. A solid character dealing (or not dealing) with the growth of losing his fiance by leaving Phoenix and turning into a Reacher-like wanderer, he's just out of Georgia when he witnesses a fatal crash and gets a glimpse of someome who locals say disappeared ten years ago.

Needless to say, republic's on it way. By the end, he's come close to putting down roots - but close doesn't count. The story is involved but not inscrutable. My only quibble is that there's become.some predictability to his mishaps. Only Ryles' inventive solutions have kept it to a minor annoyance.

Good Thriller.

A good thriller that has Sharpe narrowly avoiding a traffic accident which resulted in two dead drivers and a female with different coloured eyes vanishing from one of the vehicles when Sharpe went to get a tool to force a door. On police involvement it transpired that Sharpe’s description of the missing female was of a girl missing presumed dead years ago. Attempts by two local thugs to force Sharpe leave the county only raised his suspicions eventually leading to the discovery of a human trafficking ring, police collusion and operation to close everything down.

Child sex trafficking internationally... More Evils to be righted.

Death, tears, depravity and scales of justice to be realigned. Like Humpty Dumpty the pieces can never all be realigned and lives once destroyed cannot ever be reconstructed but some children can be saved and operations stopped on one front. It is a somewhat hollow victory for Mason but it is something that gives his life some meaning and allows him to go on living one day at a time.....Yet again, lots of action but keep tissues at hand. Another solid 4.5+ stars though the depravity sickened me...Reality sometimes is disgusting.

Mason Sharp, warrior brings justice

This third Mason Sharp thriller establishes Sharp as a credible character worth following. End Game exposes dark secrets of international child trafficking without burdening the reader with unforgettable trauma. There is some good character development and a satisfying accuracy of detail. Ryles did an excellent job of staying one step ahead of this experienced reader. I wouldn’t consider the style as literature, yet the detail, sentence construction and story continuity kept me interested and observant without frustrations or any need to put the book down or skip over sections. I’m ready for Mason’s next appearance.

There's nothing especially innovative about this book (or the series). It's the Kwai Chang Kane (or Reacher) formula: the wanderer drifts into town and is confronted with a problem, many people are injured by dint of the superior skills of the protagonist, the problem is resolved, and the wanderer drifts back out of town.

In this case, the problem is human trafficking, and the plot runs about as one would expect. There are a few twists, but they're of exactly the sort one could expect from the genre.

While it's formulaic, the writing is good, the supporting cast is well-drawn, the plot is plausible (for the genre) and there is some character growth. Recommended.

angst, drama and action packed thriller as a former military man still processing life and too many deaths and too much period comes across an accident on the highway that turns out to be part of so much more.

trafficking gains the face of the girl next door, and becomes folks just trying to cope and survive unimaginable horrors.

compelling and reflective, echoing the pains and hurts we cannot hug, love or pray away for those we've cared for if you have ever had warriors in your life or heart

I am intrigued to see where the journey might lead next

Logan as done a phenomenal job writing this heartfelt, sad, reality fact, emotional masterpiece. It’s so captivating that you can’t put it down, you are literally on the edge of you seat all tensed up waiting to see what happens. Will the believe him, ignore him, send him away, kill him or what ? He’s definitely the right guy to have in your corner. I can’t wait for his next adventure or case as it may be. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! I’m gonna get a physical paper/hard back of this book and the others.

End Game

I loved this book!!! The author has a way of engaging the reader with his talent for story telling and keeps you guessing with lots of unexpected twists and turns. I was very captivated by all the characters, who are very realistic and beautifully flawed, especially Mason. I loved the story line along with all the adventure, action, suspense, and the bonds of friendships that he forms along the way. He has an amazing perception for doing the right thing and hates injustice and bullies. I highly recommend this series. Happy Reading!!!!

Ryles Conquers Another

Author Logan Ryles successfully conquers another format. I started following Ryles with his Reed Montgomery and Wolfgang Pierce series. Now in this 3rd of the Mason Sharpe books, Ryles really hits his stride with this character, even though it’s v-e-r-y similar to another drifter righting wrong series. Ryles brings an original writing style so it’s not a carbon copy.

Mason is driving through a small town in Alabama and is witness to an accident, when seeing if anyone could be alive he finds a woman terrified in the back of a van. Leaving to get a crowbar when he returns she is gone. Once the fire, police, and EMTs arrive the description of the woman matches a young girl who went missing eleven years ago, but there is no way he would have known about her eyes and this sets of that thing inside of Masson, yes if you have the other books you know what I am talking about. He now is like a dog looking for that bone he lost and he knows it is here somewhere but someone is just fu*king with him. Here in this book he actually makes a few mistakes but it is good to have the main character have flaws he got too focused, and that even made this book better for me. I was hooked on this story from the first page until the last and could not put it down as an excellent read if you are into this type of book. I received this book from Netgalley.com

What a blast - gripping, powerful, fast moving, and well written. Mason Sharpe is the new 'Jack Reacher' who goes against all odds to shut down a child trafficking organisation. The twists and turns in the excellent story lead to a sensational finale. Highly recommended novel, book 3 in the Mason Sharpe series, and worthy of five stars.

I am falling in love with this series. It has the characters (really 1), plot, and the scenery. It’s out of this world! I am chomping at the bit to read the next one in the series. I am excited to learn about the creativity of the author. Kudos to Mr. Rylee.

It just keeps on getting better!

This third visit to the world of Mason Sharpe is the best yet. We are treated to a complex, living person, who carries the same pluses and minuses that we all do. The plot line is tightly woven and the transitions are seamless. This is one of my favorite characters since Travis McGee (yes, I am that old).

This book is a pleasure to read. I fell right into the story and found myself hooked the whole way through. Fast paced and action packed, there is no down time to be found in this story. Nice small town atmosphere marred by some dark goings on. This book can be read as a standalone.

Book ticks along a good pace, seems authors like using ex army drifters. Not sure how he missed the corrupt cop but had a good twist at the end. Dishes out some beatings, takes a couple.

Great story

I found the story very well written exciting from start to finish.
I could see a lot of similarly between Jack Reacher and Sharpe but the style of writing was different .
I can't wait to read other books in the series.
