I’m a fan of procedural cop/forensic shows and that’s pretty much how this comes off. Some of it is a bit nonsensical and has plot holes. The writing sometimes veers into a theatrical movie trailer talk (i.e. will they survive or fail along the way, type stuff) Very much a hold your hand type of book, you’ll need 0 brain cells for this because things are explained and repeated at least 3 times every two chapters. The ending was easily guessable and kinda terribly executed.
A quick read. The story is a bit thin and predictable, much like a Hallmark mystery movie where there is chemistry between male and female key characters.
The descriptions of scenes, people, etc. became tedious after a while. It had just a bit of “spice,” easily passed over without losing track of the story line.
The description in this book was like the author was trying to meet a word count. Way over done! The Insta love and ending was cringey! At least the mystery was a mystery only part I liked.
