I read the first two books. And just did not like the characters at all. Disappointing if I'm being honest

The Complete Cotswolds Murder MysteriesBooks 1-6

I have spent most of the last week reading this wonderfully well written and very complicated books. I have enjoyed them so much. The characters are so unbelievable sometimes comical and very often hilarious but so right in their assumptions and their ways of dealing with the outcomes are just so good. The few main charters in the village are so caring and inquisitive, all animal lovers bringing their furry friends to the pub. Wish I lived in this village 😊😊

All books are well written. I read all of them on Kindle Unlimited (thank you Stella for making that available). Although sometimes slightly far-fetched for 'true life' it was enjoyable to read the characters, especially as things developed between the main characters and others. The books are set in the Cotswold part of Great Britain with a slight 'Midsomer Murder' theme about them. Some of the characters' names seemed slightly out of place and, to my mind, not quite English enough. I did enjoy reading the six book set.

Gripping tales with twists and turns as we get to know the people in this small town, as well as the two police who come to try to solve the puzzles. In book one, I liked Alex and was interested to see how life would work out for her as she returned to a childhood locale. By book six I was appalled at how she was falling apart emotionally and maybe psychically. She blabbed secrets out loud to inappropriate recipients yet kept secrets from her best friend Tony. I finished the 6 stories because I wanted to find out what happens, but book 6 left way too many things up in the air.

Love Alex or hate her, she is nothing if not entertaining

These books are a great read. As far fetched as you wish a story to be. Making a wonderful read and wondering what trouble Alex will get into for the next story.
Since she moved back home, after her divorce, there has been murder galore. Black widow or what?

A1 mystery

This set of books is well worth reading. They are so well written that you are never right in who you think did it. Characters are very well written, and you can almost visually see them
Each book you learn a little more about them. Wish there were more books about this group written. 6 is definitely not enough

Great Series -Until the final book

Enjoy books 1-5 and skip 6

Enjoyable characters human, feline and canine and a variety of mayhem allow readers to experience village and pub life in the Cotswolds over the course of several seasons.

Book 6 goes over the top and has an abrupt and deeply unsatisfying ending. It’ll ruin the series for you so skip it.

Complex and compelling

I liked all six books. The characters were well developed and captivating. The story lines were completely developed and all engrossing. Alex and Tony are believable, at times irritating, and always totally immersed in their adventures.

Stopped reading it because of "bad language" and "dirty talk about sex."

First two books were very good. The third became very repetitive and predictable making the story line somewhat dissapointing.

Good detailed series

Good plotted stories I think that the writer is an American.

A lot of research was obvious in the backgrounds

Village murders.

I enjoyed the first three books but found the following ones hard to get to grips with. There was a lot of information bouncing around and I was getting confused!

If you enjoy mysteries, and ones that have many of the same characters, then this series is just what you need.
The author has the ability to paint a detailed picture with her words that lets you visualize the scene as it happens.

Great

Could hardly put the book down. But some stories left you hanging. Need more explanation of what happened to the characters.
