★★★★! Pieces of Truth, book 2 of 3. One captivating women, three men in desperate pursuit of her love. Set against the lifestyle of the elite & secret societies with enough suspense & intrigue to keep you mesmerized!

“I once learned, a long time ago, to get what you want, to have all the power, to be the hero and the good guy, you have to make everyone else look like the bad guy.”
~Hero, Pieces of Truth

Pieces of Truth is the sequel to Pieces of Lies, the whirlwind saga of one captivating woman and three amazing men vying for her heart, featuring the dazzling life of the ultra-rich, secret societies, mysteries, lies, deceit, suspense, intrigue and even blackmail.

Please note these books must be read in order:
Book 1: Pieces of Lies
Book 2: Pieces of Truth
Book 3: All the Pieces

In Pieces of Lies (book 1), we meet Norah, with a murky past embarking on new beginning by transferring to Maclaren University to finish her last semester of College and be closer to her best friend Josh. On the night they were both thinking of taking their friendship to another level they end up having a fall-out and Norah instead meets the jaded, entitled school playboy Clint. Norah soon finds herself in a tug-a-war between these two men only to have her first love/ex-boyfriend Samuel, re-appear as her third suitor.

Book 1 was nothing short of a roller-coaster as lies and deceit were spun and secrets unveiled all under the watchful eye of the all-seeing secret society, Lappell and powerful people in Norah’s past. I will not reveal which of her suitors is ahead in the race. But I can tell you that Book 1 ended with two of her suitors coming to a blow with Norah picking one. However, in the epilogue her third suitor stirs up new drama.

This story, Pieces of Truth (book 2), opens up with everyone having graduated and moved to New York. Norah is in a committed relationship with one of her three suitors while the other two are frantically trying to win her back. Much like in book 1, book 2 is every bit the roller-coaster of lies, deceits, secrets, suspense and intrigue. The drama keeps building and comes to several blows throughout. Norah will end up not knowing who to trust or what to believe. For most of the story darkness still has the upper hand overshadowing her efforts. And it’s quite possible that one or more of her suitors are lying as well. As much as she cares for these three men, she is desperately trying to get to bottom of everything - to sort through the Pieces of Truth.

Norah Ross is beautiful inside and out. After losing her mother she was raised by her father. She has secrets from her past that will be reveled in book 1 and 2. She is an artist with one successful exhibition under her belt. There is no doubt that all three men have a sincere desire and love for Norah and it is clear that she loves parts of each of these men. It’s difficult for her to choose because not only are the men very competitive, they also have life-time memberships or ties to Lappell and other powerful special interest groups and Norah finds herself a commodity, a price in a high-stake game, on more than one occasion.

Her biggest obstacles are finding herself, her footing and trying to decipher the truth, while finding a way to exist amongst these powerful groups. The Pieces of Lies series is Norah’s journey of self-discovery, personal growth and choosing her life-long love.

I loved her from the start of book 1. In book 2 I felt her to be distracted and all over the place. I wish for her to slow down and find peace.

Four words to describe Norah: Captivating, strong, unique and sincere.

“I wanted him to be ruthless, I wanted him to be fearless, I wanted him to take the biggest risk possible for me and be a hero.”

Josh Hollows is Norah’s best friend since childhood and we get to know him starting in book 1. In book 2 he has graduated and accepted a position with a firm closely tied to the Lappell. He is trying to find his footing and balance with Lapell and hopefully make a good life for himself and Norah. What works in his favor is his deep friendship with Norah serving as a very solid foundation for a relationship plus their undeniable attraction to each other.

Six words to describe Josh: Loyal, calm, smart, sexy, intense and ruthless!

Samuel Voltaggio is Norah’s first love and ex-boyfriend. Book 1 introduced him, but he kept many of his secrets and stayed mostly in the background both stirring and vying for Norah. In book 2 he is coming back with a vengeance. He is not the only one with secrets and he will try to expose them. What works in his favor is the love they shared and that the break-up was not of his nor Norah’s choosing.

Six words to describe Samuel: Relentless, secretive, handsome, persistent, intense and ruthless!

Clint Weston the ultra-rich, jaded playboy from one of the most affluent families in the US has never cared for a woman nor had a girlfriend until he met Norah. She turned his life upside down and he has not been the same since. He is oftentimes desperate, possessive and relentless in his pursuit of Norah. But he also has very strong bonds to the Lappell and finds himself caught in the middle on several occasions. What works in his favor is his ability to be both vulnerable and expressive in his love for Norah.

Six words to describe Clint; Possessive, relentless, attentive, vulnerable, intense and ruthless!

Please note that though book 2 left Norah in a good place, her story will not come to a full conclusion until book 3, due at the end of this year. Until then we leave her happy and content not realizing that yet again new drama is lurking in the shadows. Book 3 is bound to be another epic read as everything comes crashing down and to a halt and the truth is finally revealed. May all the pieces of lies and truth finally fit!

So far I have enjoyed every moment of Norah’s journey.
She is truly a wonderful heroine and all three heroes are very strong candidates. I’d be happy with whoever Norah picks. Therein, of course, lies great sadness for the two left behind. Thanks Ms. Richardson for an epic series!

“Sometimes, the smallest moments in your life have the greatest impact. They soar straight into a place deep inside you, and resonate with the very core of your heart, sinking deep into your memory, to remind you later, that life and love can bring you magic you didn’t know existed.”

The last 10% left me freaking SPEECHLESS. When is the last time a book slap the shit out of you? That is EXACTLY what this book did to me. I love it when an author is not scared to take risks with their characters. Angela Richardson what did you do to me? I don’t think I underestimated her as an author but she certainly surpassed my expectations with the second book in her Pieces of Lies series.

‘What I seek now is the truth. I know that the truth doesn’t always lead to love and that love doesn’t always lead to the truth. I’d like to believe they walk hand in hand, but deep down, I know it simply isn’t true. I must get answers because the darkness in me will never leave, it only sleeps dormant until it’s woken again, and I know lies are its biggest alarm.’ -Norah

Norah is the mc for 98.999% of this book. We get small glimpses from another pov from someone special... *Grins*
When I think of Norah I see this

 photo tumblr_mmuy5z4FJS1qej93ko1_500_zpse4d29cc6.gif

Men swarm to her like bees to honey.

She has three men who want her. THREE. But her heart belongs to one. What is not to love about Norah, she is strong willed, smart, loving, beautiful and once she is committed you have her heart fully but DO NOT LIE. Because if you lie and get caught you WILL lose her.

 photo 019191e8-02c7-4316-a69d-fba9a11d5c66_zpsd154457f.jpg

At the end of Pieces of Lies Norah learns that her boyfriend, Clint, is keeping something from her, a secret that is not revealed to her or the readers. When Pieces of Truth starts Norah and Clint are still in love and living in New York City. The fact that Clint harbors a secret still weighs heavy in the back of her mind. Never the less it’s obvious the once philandering playboy has changed his ways and is committed to Norah but with secrets laying dormant doubt always seems to creep its way in.

Doubt leads her straight to her best friend Josh for help. Which is cool right? Wrong, there is just one small problem with that..

‘As I looked into his eyes, trying to see into the depths of that darkness, it hit me. It was subtle, but it hit me. The rush of attraction. A heat from inside me suddenly appeared from nowhere. Damn. That’s not good.’ –Norah

See.
And it does not help that Josh returns the attraction tenfold. As Norah fights to put that aside she relies on Josh for help to find out once and for all what Clint has hidden from her. He agrees to help her and soon everything spirals out of control. A party themed as the game of TRUTH OR DARE brings out secrets. Leaving Norah to fight for control as her heart breaks and she scrambles to pick up the pieces.

Ultimate betrayals occur...

Enemies become Allies...

And New Enemies show their faces...

But you must read closely as all of these Jaw Dropping Shockers unfold in the story with a plethora of twist and turns. Because I have no doubt that you will want to re-read some lines after being left SPEECHLESS.

Fave Lines said and unsaid

‘I was enjoying this dangerous liaison, but I knew I couldn’t let it persist much further. I had to get home, and I much preferred to keep the memory of our meeting as something sweet rather than sour.’ –Norah

“Two households, both alike in dignity,” Samuel quoted. “From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, a pair of star-crossed lovers take their life.” –Samuel

It’s just sexual tension. Hardcore, animalistic, lick his body all over, sexual tension. That’s all it is. –Norah

'His reaction was enough to show he was lying. Lies. More fucking lies. Arrgghh!' –Norah

MY CASTING

My thoughts
I LOVED IT! Norah....and paint...and sex O.M.G. NO WORDS. Readers FINALLY get to see Norah and Samuel first meeting play out and it was G O O D!!!! I loved the writing it was fast paced and failed to drag. I thought the author’s ability to leave me speechless was very well done. In fact she did such a good job I have no idea which guy I would like Norah to be with. Although she pics a guy at the end of this book I still feel like there may be some unfinished business with another guy. Regardless I loved her choice! I am anxious to get my hands on book 3 I need MORE Norah, MORE Clint, MORE Josh and MORE Samuel!! And I am curious to know if her final decision will stick. This series has easily become a favorite! I highly Recommend it!!!

My Ratings

HOLY TOLEDO! Angela Richardson revved up the motor in this romantic suspense and gave readers more than enough to make this one a “hang-on-to-your-seat-and-take-a-deep-breath” ride. Even the editing problems that brought on screaming fits in the first book are gone! This is an outstanding continuation of what started out a bit shaky for me and I’m so thrilled with its results.

We’re on an emotional Roll-a-Coaster from start to finish. Just when you think you may have it figured out -- BOOM – the bottom drops out and nothing is as it seems. Forget trusting any of the characters because they just won’t allow it. We pick up several months after PIECES OF LIES ends. Norah and Clint are together in New York City. The sex is hot and crazy. On the surface everything appears to be going well. But Norah still has lingering trust issues and Clint doesn’t make it easy for her to put them aside. And Samuel still has Norah in his sights and is one determined young man. But who is he really and why can’t we really get a fix on him. Because the author just dangles him outside our reach and she does it so cleverly. And then there’s Josh, Norah's best friend, and the man so in love with Norah that he’s willing to do just about anything to prove it. In the middle of the entire debacle stand the Lappell Society and the mysteries of its hold on so many individuals.

As the shadows begin to fade and light filters in on many of the unanswered questions, readers might think happily-ever-after is in sight. All I can say is “don’t get too comfortable.” There’s once again a humdinger of a cliffhanger and December is months away.

Dang those cliffhangers!

That was me when I received my ARC of Pieces of Truth. I put my entire life on hold and dove straight into the book! Gosh, it was SO good!

Those who LOVED Pieces of Lies (like me) WILL NOT be disappointed! Holy Moly, my head is all over the place after reading Pieces of Truth just like it was in Pieces of Lies. I still do not know who to trust, who to believe or who Norah should be with.

I just can’t take this insanity!

I absolutely love the mystery/romance series Ms. Richardson has created. She truly has a gift for creating drama and I mean that in the nicest way possible :). By the end I am all over the place with my emotions and thoughts; I get totally thrown off track and I love it! I love not knowing what will happen next. It’s not often a book keeps me guessing the entire time.

Just like in the first book, Pieces of Lies I don’t trust anyone because as soon as I do, BAM a secret pops up and their motives are revealed. Pieces of Truth starts off months later where Pieces of Lies ends. Norah and Clint are living their “happily ever after” together living in NYC. Norah and Clint are in love and having crazy, hot, fun sex but Norah can’t shake the note someone left for her at the end of Pieces of Lies that tells Norah not to trust Clint. She can’t totally give herself to Clint because of this and is determined to find out what he is hiding. At the same time Samuel, Norah’s ex-fiancé’ is still after her affections and sending gifts weekly to win her back causing a rift in Clint & Norah’s relationship. Josh, the “best-friend” is back! I LOVED him in Pieces of Lies even though he used Norah a bit to get into the Lappell. Feelings between the two spark, no screw that they cause a full out inferno and there is no denying this time around they are more than just friends. As more secrets are revealed and who is behind what is revealed you will against question everything and everyone. Also Norah will have to choose again between Samuel, Clint, and Josh who she really loves.

Again at the end I am left wanting more and I want it now darn it! How can I be left hangin’ again?! Totally not fair! I don’t want to reveal too much and spoil it for you but the ending has a pretty epic moment I couldn’t help but cheer and scream! I kept picturing this in my head….

I was so happy, but Angela Richardson, being Angela Richardson left me wanting more and questioning my happiness once again. Who I thought I trusted and wanted Norah to be with, might have more secrets he doesn’t want Norah to find out about… ugh!

I am afraid to continue my review and ruin it for you all but like I said above if you are a fan of the first book and loved the mystery aspect; you will love it and will not be disappointed. I did miss the mystery of the Lappell and their secret society a little bit since that was such a big focus the last book but there is still plenty of mystery to go around, don’t worry!

I give Pieces of Truth (Pieces of Lies #2) 4 Stars

I have to admit I was totally annoyed with myself when I read this book. Reason being was I didn't give Pieces of Lies half a chance.....I cut it down half way because the story veered from the beginning which I loved and didn't want to steer from it.

I finished Pieces of Truth tonight, OMG I couldn't put it down....The suspense killed me....I cant call who's gonna be the good guy......I would have to put Clint,Josh and Samuel names in a bag and leave it to fate!!!!
Angela, your writing is fabulous.....
I'm not a fan of trilogy's and was gutted to find out I have to wait till December for the final.

Loved it 5* from me
PS, was the song you referred to High by The Lighthouse family; that is our (mine and hubs) song. :-)

I enjoy New Adult novels despite their tiring similarities. But on rare occasion some brave the trend and dish out very interesting stories in this genre. Ms. Angela Richardson’s Pieces of Lies series is one of them. The one of those that courageously created a book that’s not only different but also highly enjoyable. Mafia, secret society and more. You cannot find these in your typical NA books. And let me tell you good folks that this novel, Pieces of Truth, is much more than I expected.

You know the ending of the first book left me thinking about the secret Clint is hiding from Norah. Samuel is trying to worm his way again to Norah’s heart but Clint is currently holding it tightly. So Samuel did a smart move of making Norah doubt Clint and in the process not completely letting him hold her heart. Samuel showered her gifts, which annoyed Clint greatly. This always triggers their argument, Clint wants him to stop his flamboyant gestures but Norah doesn’t want to endanger his life by meeting him. Besides, she was still thinking about the note Samuel left. So Norah sought out Josh for help. And meeting Josh again brought some interesting feelings—a non-friendship one.

You guys, you guys if you love the first one you will definitely like this one better. I want to fangirl and tell you all the reveals that happened here, but that’s so cruel as I don’t want to ruin anything for you. Let me just say that fight is not only between Clint and Samuel, but Josh is also included in this very complicated equation. Of course at the end she finally knew whom she really loves but it wasn’t an easy road to get there. There are lots of lies, truths and manipulation of those truths before the two of them get there. And you wouldn’t believe how one the guys cleverly orchestrated the whole thing in order to win Norah’s heart. At first I was nodding, totally agreeing with her choice because he obviously the one for her—the one who truly loves her. But when I read the ending, oh gosh, I was profoundly surprised. I would have never guess than he can do something as huge and as scheming as that. You can never really judge a book by its cover, huh?

I’m somewhat annoyed with Norah here. Even if I take all the deceits in consideration, I just can’t take how she easily jumped into conclusion, more than that I dislike how she ran away every time she found out the truth, not letting them explain. I know they did awful things to her but I think they deserve to be heard and that’s when she can decide. But she cowardly ran and hides to my annoyance. Another thing, I approved (well, fifty-fifty, particularly after that epilogue) of the guy she chose, although I must say I didn’t like how she jumped from one boy to the other one especially I found that self-realization (of feelings) a monumental one.

I wonder how Norah will react if she found out that the guy she loves wasn’t completely honest to her. He might not lie about the whole thing but he manipulated the truth. She might as well consider that lying. So my question is…is there a third book?

I received an eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.

* 5 MIND-BLOWING STARS!

How could I not love the darkness? It's been a part of me, and sometimes the best part. And I know that even destiny has a dark side. Because I've tasted the lies, And swallowed the truth, with my fate falling somewhere in between and I know it's a place where I can be happy, I know it's a place I belong.

In this story, relationships will be tested, old feelings will surface, secrets will be revealed and emotions will run high. By the end, Norah will have chosen her love, but at what price?

I'LL TELL YOU WHAT PRICE...MY FUCKEN SANITY. I am still processing all of this. There are so many twists and turns I think I am suffering from motion sickness. I absolutely loved Pieces of Lies and equally if not more so loved this one....Pieces of Truth; and now I need Pieces of Mind...as in I want mine back...because seriously this book totally fucked with it and I do mean that in the best possible way. :)

There is a quote in the first book.... REAL LOVE FIGHTS TO SURVIVE. IT ENDURES PAIN AND FINDS LIGHT WHEN THERE IS ONLY DARKNESS. This quote can only sum up Josh for me. This boy had lost so much in his life and he was not going to lose Nora...no matter what. The author really preyed on my emotions because honestly I can sympathize with wanting something so bad all logic and reason become non-existent; and because of this my feelings for Josh never were questioned. I loved him in the first book and still do......don't get me wrong there were moments when I felt bad for Clint and yes Samuel too; but how can you not appreciate one's man motives to get his girl......

I once learned, a long time ago, to get what you want, to have all the power, to be the hero and the good guy, you have to make everyone else look like the bad guy.

Lesson Learned and Achieved so masterfully-I was totally shocked! It was definitely a WTF moment; Seriously I have read so many books...and in reading you always try to figure things out before they are revealed; I am completely exhausted with this one because every time I thought I had this all figured out I was slapped in the face!

I'm my strongest and happiest when she is with me, so all I need is her. I intend to love and cherish that girl until the end of time, and more if it's possible.......

I apologize that this is all over the place but just wait till you read it you will understand why. This book leaves you questioning everything; your emotions will be obliterated...you won't be able to think complete thoughts and in the end you will want MORE!

THE TRUTH ALWAYS FOUND A WAY AFTER ALL.

Ms. Richardson you have once again amazed me! Pieces of Truth is brilliant. It kept me engaged and held me captive from start to finish. I love this series. It is not everyday that I get interesting characters, mafia, secret society.. People trust me this series has suspense, sex and twists for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

We start off right where we left off in book one. Clint and Norah have moved to New York. Living life.. Norah is working on her painting. Clint is working and still a member of the Lappells. Josh just happens to be in the Big Apple too... and Samuel. All
Three in New York. All still involved in Norah's life in one way or other.
Trust me. Suspicion and questions right from the beginning. I loved it!

Samuel wants her back and he will stop at nothing to do. (Gifts and notes) Let us not forget that all important note he left with her at end of book one. It plays major role. TRUST! All of this of course throws Clint into a tailspin of epic proportions. Jealousy - anger - twists- turns. I was rooting for Clint and screaming at him! Agony!
(I have always wanted to believe the best of Clint)

tumblr_ltcnqzSg7T1qbht1so1_500
Then I would think Samuel is the one .. Nope! Each corner I turned I learned another thing that would sway me.. It was the best roller coaster ride ever! Josh good old, never the right time Josh! Will he be stuck in the "friend" zone forever? She is always running to him. I love Josh.. Even with all the reasons I should not. My goodness that man makes me mad! Then love him all over. Whew! Omg this book is sexy! Trust me!

Ms. Richardson is who I want on my side all the time. Anyone that can write twist and turns like this could get me out of a sticky situation for sure.

I want so desperately to lay this whole story out.. But I cannot!
You MUST read it! One my words could never do it justice - second it is too damn good! You must experience it!

Do you want a story with a kick ass lead female? This one has it!
Do you want a story with sexy leading men, that make you swoon? This one has it! (Holy hot cakes it does!)

Where do I even begin with? I still cannot think straight after that mind-blowing, heart-breaking epilogue. I won't even give a hint as to what that epilogue is all about. Better read it, you know.

When I received Angela's e-mail, I was so hyped! She wasn't kidding when she told me this is a bit different. I know Angela can pull off another surprise. But the surprises this one has is so shocking in a way. Maybe I knew all along that, that CAN happen but then I'm giving that character the benefit of the doubt. BUT NOOOO. Yes, I'm so heart-broken right now.

But you guys, this is naughtier than Pieces of Lies. Like seriously. I think, no, I believe this is actually the first New Adult novel that got me to read parts like that. Very descriptive. And very... I don't know. Not really my type. But it's not the novel's fault. I just really feel like I'm invading the couple's privacy! So I just skimmed those parts because there were still sweet feelings included.

The suspense had me guessing all the time. It wasn't until the latter part of the novel that I had my own concrete guess and that was really hard because I didn't know the characters I should trust. It's just hard. Even if this is just a novel, I have to keep my guard on or else I'd be hurt! Honestly, even if I had my guard on, I'm still hurt about what happened. I'm that affected!

I don't know how to review this without giving a hint as to what happened! I'm keeping my mouth shut. I swear. To everyone who loved Pieces of Lies, I give you my word that you'll enjoy Norah's quest into finding who really deserves her love, her tug-of-war drama with all the lies that have been built around her, her impulsiveness about her decisions and her passion for art.

Just a quick warning, don't be deceived okay? Maybe you think knowing the truth will set you free, but most of the time, it won't. It will just actually eat you alive making you wish that you'd just settled for the lies.

Many thanks to Angela Richardson for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review! I actually don't think this will be the last book for this series. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Let's just say there was never a dull moment!!!
I do have to say the only thing I really hated was how fast Norah changes her mind about the men in her life. One minute she likes one and next she is in love with the other...holy cow talk about can't make up your mind!
Just when you thought you figured this story out, there is a surprise around every corner!!!

Very rarely, and I mean VERY rarely, do I like a sequel better than the original. When it happens, I am so ecstatic that I end up changing my entire opinion of the original book/movie, etc. So when I tell you that "Pieces of Truth" is an absolute must read, I am not even exaggerating! In order to truly appreciate this story, you have to start at the beginning with "Pieces of Lies" available for just $.99 (see link below).

"Pieces of Truth" picks up with Clint and Norah living together in New York, Norah is working on her next art exhibit and Clint is working at an investment firm. Their romantic life, okay sex life, is extremely healthy and pretty hot! However, there are more things beyond just the Lappell getting in their way.

Ah, this book was so much better than the first. There were a few edits that needed to be made, but I honestly never mind those too much. Unless they’re crazy bad of course. But, IMHO, this book was really good. Almost all of the characters were finally fully developed, and they seemed more well rounded and believable.
I still don’t see the appeal that Norah has over all these guys, but at least in this book she was more mature, which was a huge improvement from the first book. I also realllllly enjoyed each of the guys in this book. The last one, not so much. They were just kind of there and ran all over the place. This go around, with exception to Samuel, I got a glimpse of their personalities.
Clint, broke my heart.
Josh, solid in his love for Norah, but
Samuel, does this guy keep getting the shaft or what?

The secrets in this book were a bit predictable, again, but the reveal about what was epic. I love that.

description

First, what I didn’t like…
The secrets that were revealed were a bit predictable.
There was only one huge reveal, and that was at the end of the book.
Did that make for a great cliffhanger to the next book? Hecks yeah!
But, I wanted more. Maybe am asking for too much though….
I also would have liked more character building on Samuel. I’m not endured to him yet. I was to both Clint and Josh, but not so much with Samuel. I just think he keeps getting the shaft and is going through soooo much for Norah, and I don’t really get way. She held out on waiting for him for all of six months? Boo. Yes, lets fight for that.

description

What I did like...
First, I liked that this one was fast paced and had some believable angst to go with it. The first one, none. No angst at all. This one, loads of it.
And I loved it!
Second, I also really enjoyed Clint in this book. He was totally a but he was great. I loved him.
I’d marry him.
And last but not least, the reveal about was amazing. I loved it. Did I kind of have an idea something like that went down? Yup. But it was still great writing and an excellent twist.
Brava.

description

And with that, I’m off to read book three!
I’m stoked.

I was a HUGE fan of Pieces of Lies and so I had high expectations for Pieces of Truth. I think my issue is that I was rooting for the wrong guy and even my back-up guy didn’t get picked.

Pieces of Truth picks up where Pieces of Lies ended. So going into book 2 we know… Sam is back in the picture and is actively pursuing Norah. We know Josh revealed his feelings for Norah and kind of threw himself into the mix. However, Norah picked Clint and is still with him.

I guess you can call this a love quadrant? As I said in my review in Pieces of Lies there wasn’t really a good or bad Hero, each guy has their own flaws, so I guess it’s hard for me to like the person Norah picks in the end. I didn’t see that HUGE connection. I am going to post an unconventional review.

I want to break down a pros and cons list for each guy (this doesn’t give anything away in Pieces of Truth

Clint

Pro – Current boyfriend

Pro- Willing to trade in his inheritance for Norah

Con- He lied how he knew Norah

Con-Norah gets a letter that tells her not to trust him

SAM

Pro- Norah has a long history with Sam

Pro- He waited two years to have sex with Norah

Con- Left Norah when Norah’s Dad found out

Con-Organized a way to get Norah into the secret society

Josh

Pro- Best Friend

Pro-Josh helped Norah get over Sam

Con- Took Norah to the de-virgin party

Con or Pro – Continues to wait for Norah’s feelings to be reciprocated

**SIGH**

I guess I was kind of confused. I didn’t think there would be this love quadrant. I thought there might be a love triangle and then the third guy would be kind of the “villain”, but I didn’t get that. You never knew who Norah was going to be with because there would be mini-flash stories and it kind of makes you fall in love with all three guys. I went back and forth on which one I was rooting for.

You make my soul ache in the best kind of way. The electric and addictive blend of courage, desire and more. It tells me that I cannot, and will not, let you go. – Clint

We are going to fight to stay together, that’s what we will do – Sam

Norah, I will never let you fall. I will always pick you up. Don’t let this ruin you. – Josh

The story was a bit narrative and I felt like there was a lot of descriptive detail. I kind of skimmed those parts. I really liked Norah in book 1, but I she wasn’t my fan after this read. I felt like Norah was too indecisive. I really hated her at this part .

I loved the last few chapters because it made sense why she picked who she picked, but I guess I wanted to see more of that alpha male ego throughout the book so I kind of knew who to root for.

Maybe I just didn’t see it coming, maybe I should have rooted for him all along. All I know is that I am bummed and kind of disappointed. I am not sure if I will move on to book 3 if there is one.

I was SCURRED to read this book! Book 1 shocked the hell out of me I really loved it and the author kept up with that theme in book 2. I read this book in one night setting didn't stop to do anything just kept on reading. It was addicting and filled with so many twist and turns that I had to keep up so I could find out the TRUTH! Well hell yea I found out the Truth but man did it unleash MORE Lies! I am so happy there is going to be a book 3. The way this book ended I seriously needed revenge and wanted to call on some of my book bf super heros to go in and beat a certain character up.

Pieces of Truth was def AMPED up and a great sequel to book 1. The characters have matured in age and that does not go unnoticed in the book. The men aren't playing any games with claiming their hold and feelings for Norah. Also the intimate moments between the characters are way more detailed (no not smut) but enough to make you say " Get it girl." Lol

Pieces of Truth continues with Norah trying to find herself outside of the eyes of being her fathers daughter and building a new relationship with her boyfriend (I won't say who that is incase you haven't read book 1). Well her forever BFF Josh comes to the rescue after she runs to him for "brotherly" advice. Ugh. their relationship is an example of why sometimes its not a good idea to be BFFs with a male (especially when he HATES your bf). Well things get HOT and the love triangle continues.

By the end of the book I am like ok this is great Norah has found out who has been not on her team and playing her for a fool the whole time then BAM the TRUTH is told except we are the only ones that know it. Poor Norah is still being lied to and THINKS she knows the TRUTH. It really breaks my heart for her because she has no idea thats she's being played like a pixie stick. I can't wait for book 3 to come out! There is so much going on it will be interesting to see all the loose ends tied and Norah FINALLY (I hope) get the TRUTH!

In Pieces of Truth, the author Angela Richardson slowly unravels the secrets behind the characters in such a way that I am constantly being tempted with new information, leaving me waiting and wanting the next bit of juicy goodness.
This Contemporary, Romance-Action, New Adult book is filled full of lies, deceit, romance, betrayal, lust and action.

Blurb: Norah has agreed to move to New York with Clint, allowing him to follow his dreams, but in turn opening herself up the the dangers of the Lappell's and her Father's actions and speculation. Everything seems perfect on the outside... But things just don't add up, bits and pieces of misinformation and clues to deceit are everywhere. How far is Clint willing to go to keep her? Will Samuel give up is never ending pursuit of her? Is Josh the only person she can trust?

Nora

Samuel

Clint

Josh

Daddy

My star ratings:
1* Complete trash
2* Waste of time really, but I carried on for some reason
3* Half decent, usually down to personal preferences
4* Could read this again, only a little thing is missing, maybe more humour or romance etc...
5* Would read this again and again, unique story, adore this author

It's a good thing I don't give books a rating less than they deserve just because I was unhappy with the outcome...... Let me just say after I read book one I was scared to read this one and for good reason! Angela started this book off with a bang! Norah was turnt all the way up in the beginning. I was like daaaamn you doing it like that? Clint is sexy as hell when he's angry and I love it! This was a major page turner for me. It's had some funny parts, some HARD sexy time ;) and for me, heartache! Angela broke my heart! I literally yelled out NO!!! I'm going to need the rest of this night to recover.... Now the book is titled Pieces of Truth BUT that ending proves she didn't get the Whole truth... can I get a book three please? I need a different ending!.... Fantastic job Angela!

Loved IT!!! Couldnt put it down until I was done. So much information was given from present to past and it helped the story so much more. Many twists in this story to keep you guessing what Norah was going to do. I almost felt sorry for her at one point thinking is she ever going to get the truth. of course there are people who surprise you and it just makes the book even more exciting. I just loved it and almost wished there was a third one but then I wouldn't want to wait to see what the ending would be. Unless there is another book coming and I haven't heard yet. Read Pieces of Lies first though before you read this one.

How far would you go to hold onto the kind of love that makes your heart sing and your soul cry for joy? Is there no line you wouldnt step across? No boundary you couldn't blur? Would you use the darkness if it meant you could have the light, and have it forever?

Strap on your seatbelts people, you are in for one hell of a ride, in a Lamborghini Aventador of course. If you thought Pieces of Lies kept you guessing, Pieces of Truth is the sucker punch you didn't see coming! I was on the edge of my seat turning pages like a caffine addict (which sadly I am) and I can confidently say this was a brilliant sequel.

We are back with Clint and Nora, 2 months after the end of Pieces of Lies. They now live together in New York, Clint has a prestigious job thanks to the Lappell, while Norah is continuing to work on her art. There realtionship is progessing nicely, But in Norah Rossi's life, nothing is simple. There is still the issue of the note, hanging over Norah's head, making her question Clint's every move and motives. Of course there's also Josh, who is still pining over Norah and Samuel who contines to pop up, 'subtly' reminding Norah of their past. For Norah Rossi, Life is complicated.

"Seriously what is wrong with me Tess? I just want to be normal, and have a normal life in a normal relationship. You know, nine to five work, movies, dinners, holiday's at the parents' house. You kow all the regular stuff. And instead I've got a mafia ex-fiance trying to come between men and my secret society affiliated boyfriend who spends his nights at a burlesque bar, being hit on by whores in a place that drugs it patrons"

Oh My Lord! the twists and turns in this story were fantastic, I was guessing right up until the last page. Angela has a way of writing, she gives you a little tease, wets your appetite, and then will do a complete 360 on you, and you're left with some mighty whiplash. But, you love every freaking page of it.

Norah I continued to be not at all impressed with your behaviour every after major fight you have with Clint. I do not like that you are in this bubble of naivety of you are just plain in denial of your feelings for Josh. She have the bad habit of ignoring the glaring warning signs that something is wrong with the picture why can't she trust her instinct and when things blow up in her face she goes running to her trusted comfort person and that is her best friend Josh. So Josh i was not surprise with the big revelation about you in the end I sort of worked out that angle once Daddy Joe said something about that particular deal and after every thing else that is happening in this series wherein almost everybody have a hidden agenda and manipulating someone i figured you have one too.
Samuel you give a good fight i give you that but apparently someone turns out to be a lot smarter than you and managed to get the girl this time...for how long I don't know. Coz pretty little liars eventually get caught up in their own deceit and Norah has her heart betrayed so many times and I can sympathize her feeling all over the place. I mean who can she really trust to love that much again. Norah is the ultimate prize and men are going by hook or by crook to land her. I think Norah is still being delusional, she needs to take a break from her relationships and give her heart a break. She needs to stop falling into love every 6months or so. Again she still wants to get away from the lifestyle of her daddy but she needs to be realistic as well. She needs to realize that what her daddy do afforded her the kind of lifestyle and comfort and her passion for art. So i need her to stop whinning about not getting her fairy tale prince charming its a love story kind of thing. I will still read the next installment coz i want to know how her next new relationship will fare when the truth will come out again.

Geez! Do i have to expect book 3?
This is really a great book! Wow!

Book 1 really made me confused! Because of all the lies, and all the guys! i dont know who to really trust.
Then came book 2, in the start im still thinking, Which of this guys really deserve Norah's love?

From the very start, my voted is for Josh, because he is the best friend, and i dont know i just really liked him, the way he treated norah, the way he took care of her. I loved him.

Then came Clint, i really dont like him, but the story goes and Norah fell in love with him, so what can i do? But all throughout the story, i have doubts about him, i really dont trust him, especially after those lies the very first time.

and then theres this ex fiance, Samuel, Only brief history about their relationship was tackled but i think it was enough to know that he will not be for Norah in the end.

Norah, i love her, but i dont really like her confused state of mind. You see, she cant made up her mind, of who she really is in love and who really she want. One day she's with Clint, then, after just seeing Josh for like 2 months she was attracted to him. I just want to slap her in those scenes, hahaha.

Really i enjoyed reading this, happy to finally solve the riddles the lies in the story.
And im so freaking happy, that Norah end up with the guy the i really liked.

But, in the Epilogue, as i read it, it seems that there's still lies, and it left me with this reaction "WHAT THE HELL?" . because hey, it's already Epilogue and then this revelation just came up in this part of the novel? I was like, do i have to expect another book? I want answers to what if Norah found out about that? Part of me still thinks it can change everything. So yeah, im still confused, just a little bit.

This Review has a spoiler!!!!

Wow, this book just gobberblasted me! I loved the book, but I just don't know which way to turn with the ending. In the first book, Pieces of Lies, someone stated that Josh was brilliant with a high IQ, not that I thought he was dumb by any means but I did not sense he was as brilliant that he could orchistrate what he did. I love Josh and I stated he was the right one for Norah in my review of Pieces of Lies. I am glad he and Norah ended up together, but I just don't know if he is too much like her father, but I hope not. I mean Clint and Samuel were both calculating and telling lies to Norah but Josh did too, but what he accomplished would be considered a masterpiece with what he did and how he went about it. I'm sure that Josh loves Norah with everything he has and he lost so much in his life already that he couldn't lose Norah too, his one bright spot. But lies have a tendency to come to light and I just worry about how Norah will take it if she ever finds out the truth, but maybe it will never be found out. Seldomly does the nice guy win out, so Josh did what he did best by coming out as the nice guy but the winner also. Definitely read this book but you have to read Pieces of Lies first.

May have spoiler to book 1

This book was so amazing! So many twist and turns all the way to the end that I didn't not see coming. Everytime I pick a team but the last few chapters I am questioning myself. There could totally be another and I hope there is because this book was addicting. i really couldn't put it down!

Norah seemed a lot more mature in the book when it comes to facing problems. Norah and Clint are now in New York but things are strained. She doesn't trust him so much because of Samuel. She hasn't seen Josh in a while but due to frustration in her life she goes to see him. She confines in him as always and I started to really like him even more.

The main players in the book were Norah, Samuel, Josh, Clint, and of course the Lappell.

Samuel seemed very determined in this book. If he went after Norah like when they were first seperated things may have been different.

Josh was sweet, caring, funny, and devoted. Maybe a little too devoted but I liked him.

Clint was a little shady, secretive and kind of sketchy then he kind of went a little crazy.

This book had so many twist and turns and some shocks at the end. Maybe up for a VERY entertaining awesome book! Highly recommended!

I was extremely nervous going into this book. I was positive she was going to pick Samuel and it was killing me. *Team Josh all the way*
Nora was all over the place!! She had no idea where she wanted to be or whom she wanted to be with. She was driving me crazy!!! Which sucked because I loves her the last book. She was too wishy washy for me this time around.

"I'm my strongest and happiest when she is with me, so all I need is her. I intend to love and cherish that girl until the end if time, and more if its possible"

"He dabbed some more paint onto his finger and then, on my left hand, on my ring finger, circled it with white paint. I gasped. If this was a movie right now, it would be the moment when everyone stood up and applauded at the monumental declaration that Josh was making with just a few symbolic moves with the paint. Josh took a deep breath as he stared at te little white paint circle he made around my ring finger. He lifted my chin once more and said, "Forecer?"
"Forever and more""
Talk about a swoon worthy moment!!!! He stole my heart this entire book!!! ❤

With that being said --

4.5 stars. I was a little going crazy with Norah narration on how, who she loved, how she met them, and where all the lies starting to add up. Above all Clint was just an innocent bystander in this book that was made to be guilty. Wow didn't thought that Josh had it in him. Since he was always quiet and a manipulator but to the people that were in his way. I have to admit, it was very impressive how he turn the jigsaw puzzle of the life of Norah to benefit him and his love towards her without her even knowing. One word Genius. And to thought, the so much narrative of Norah and how naive can she be, the person who had the key all this time was the person who she never suspected, again Genius. Bravo to Ms. Richardson. A very entail story of Love, betrayal, revenge and power.

The only thing I have to say about this book is that Angela Richardson does a great job of completely keeping you confused as too which guy you are rooting for. I liked Clint, then loved him, then thought I wanted to slap him for being dumb, then thought maybe they really aren't right for each other. I always loved Josh but always felt there was just something there that made me feel not so sure, then thought no they are perfect together. Then thought Ah Ha I was right, I knew there was something. Well with Samual, for some reason I just never really liked him. One thing was for sure all three of these guys loved Norah and would do whatever it took to get her. For such a tormented girl, she was a lucky one.

The end starts to become clear about two thirds into the book but I think there is still a doubt until it officially unravels. She definitely, definitely ends up with the right guy, in my opinion. He is what every girl needs and I love the fact he played the long and super smart game.

The sick part of me would like to see the whole truth come out but the romantic just wants them to be happy. Oh well, let's see if Ms Richardson will torture us with another installment for that.

A great read, highly recommended.
