Goddess, what have you gotten me into this time?

As if having a ghost, a Lycan, and a warlock in Jaz's life wasn't enough to juggle, there's a new soulmate in town, a dashing fae that has his eyes on more than just Jaz. Alec is also interested in the fairy, shifting the dynamic of their romance in new and exciting ways.

With a new narrative, split between Alec and Jaz, we'll discover two sides to this story as it unfolds, because there's twists and turns coming that no one could anticipate.

Izzy, a witch who claims to be Jaz's twin sister, has landed a bombshell on her life, upending everything she thought she knew, and revealing a dangerous shadow no one is certain Jaz can escape.

But Izzy has a history of putting Jaz's men in danger, making Jaz unwilling to trust her new sister. And with blooming romances between Alec and the other men in Jaz's household, Alec can barely think with Pierce pulling away from him.

If Jaz can't trust Izzy, and if Alec and Pierce can't lean on each other, when evil rears its ugly head, they might be doomed for good.

Overall, this series was entertaining. At times I found it to be over the top. For instance, each book has minimum of one if not two or three problems. In one book, The girls switch bodies (think Freaky Friday) only to find out it’s now Jas‘s wedding day! In my opinion there’s too much s3x (and that’s saying a lot because i love smut!) but the characters do it at the most inappropriate times and also each chapter there’s a new scene. Sometimes less is more. I also found the characters to be juvenile. I am new to this author so i am unsure if it’s her writing style or if she just wrote these characters like this. I cringed every times I read “for reals” and such. Eeek.

I DO like the bit of mystery that was set up throughtout the series and also how Jas kept adding to her harem throughout to series. I wanted to cry reading what really happened to Gilbert.

The series was three stars for me.

❤ this series!!

I am sooooo glad I discovered this series. I've enjoyed every book so far, but even though I've read them in order, I kinda feel like I'm out of order. In one of the companion books, Letty is already back... so just a little confused.

Regardless, i loved reading the continuation of Jazz and her guys. The ending is definitely a cliffy with Gilbert being missing and Alex going off to find his body, but at least I'm glad that his body may be found soon.

There is also a little surprise... lol someone is gonna be a daddy!!!

Can't wait to read the next one!!

I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

The Family Dynamic . . .

There was so much happening in this story that it seems Jaz cannot get a break. Her mates seem very close to her and their interactions keep the story pulling the reader in. Their romance is changing the dynamic as Alec moves it in other directions. The witch, Izzy, claims to be Jaz’s sister, but trust has not yet been established. And when the sisters get kidnapped, will Jaz’s mates be able to find her and rescue her?

Yes, there is much going on here! Can Jaz’s guys adjust and pull together? They will need to be able to count on each other and pull together to keep everyone safe.

*NOTE: this review is of the series NOT just this book. Minor spoilers ahead*

This series follows necromancer Jaz Neck following the discovery of her previously thought to be non-existent magic.

Overall, I have enjoyed this series. The premise, while slightly cliche (girl discovers she is Super Special after thinking she was Normal) was still enjoyable and made for a fun reading experience. There is plenty of humour within this series, but there is also plenty of substance and some proper gut-wrenching moments as is expected with a longer series. There are plenty of twists and turns, introductions to new characters and shifts in relationship dynamics.

My favourite thing about this series, perhaps apart from some of the humour, is how the characters interact with each other. I felt like every relationship within this series, whether it be between Jaz and her mates, siblings, friends or otherwise had depth and a story. Sometimes side characters can feel like tools to drive the plot, but I didn't feel that way with this series. Each of the side characters were likeable (or at least understandable) and were complex beings with their own thoughts, feelings and qualities. I loved reading the different interactions between any of the characters, and I felt like it really enriched the series at points were the plot might have been slower, making the series overall much more interesting to read.

I also loved that the love interests were introduced at different points in the series and developed relationships with Jaz at different paces. This is very much my preference when it comes to longer series, as I feel things can get a little boring if the mates are all "dumped" in book one and most of the tension is resolved halfway through the series. That being said, I do feel like some of Jaz's mates got a little more "screen time" than others. I am yet to read the last book though, so we shall see.

All in all, I found this to be a fun read without too angst. That being said, definitely check the trigger warnings because there are some more intense themes that come about in later books.

Burn: medium

Spice 4.5/5

Harem size: 5

M/M: yes

For me this was a bit of a chaotic angsty drama that gets wearing after a while. Lots of twists and turns, coupled with uncertainty and trust issues makes this a bit of a headful to keep track of all the moving parts. Copious couplings and after a bit I just breezed by them. Don’t get me wrong I have no issues with horizontal times, but after a bit they all start blurring when it seems a bit non-stop.

This story reminded me very much of another story by a different author that also does reverse harems and at first, I thought I was reading hers. There were some differences but so many similarities that they did get a bit confused in my head at times.

I’m not a big fan of cliff-hangers and the author does that a lot with this storyline. So, while for me the book was ok others may find the offering more to their liking.

Our heroine has attracted yet another mate to her growing collection, but this one has wider interests than just her. And all of that complicates our heroine's already complicated life. Can a girl never catch a break?

This is book five of the series. It does okay as a standalone but it be better if you start from the beginning.

This a paranormal, reverse harem romance. The story is well written and easy to read with a rather sassy heroine as our lead. The story does include lots of twists and turns which keep things interesting, as well as a lot of steam which keeps things very interesting. Unfortunately (for me at least) is that there is a fair amount of angst, some trust issues, and the start of MM relationships, none of which are my cup of tea. Overall, it was an interesting story, but it might be just about time for me to bail out.

Reading this series is like falling down the rabbit hole, wondering if there is ever going to come an end to the crazy imagination this author keeps on throwing at her readers... Once again this story takes twists and turns I didn't see coming, simply because I wouldn't even be able to imagine them. I love to expect the unexpected while reading, but the fact that this story also comes with some amazing characters and several parts that made me giggle like a schoolgirl makes this book (and the entire series so far) truly amazing.

Nobody should doubt starting this series; in my humble opinion it's one of the best ongoing paranormal series at the moment. The final sentence of this book made me rubbing my hands with glee; I'm soooooo excited to see what the author will come up with in the next book!

As usual, Lizzie has done it with this amazing book!!!
This picks up right where her novella, not the Christmas one, the other one, stops. Though it's not necessary to read it, I suggest you do as it gives a very nice background story for this book.
Anyways, I felt that the main focus in this book was actually Alec and the rest of the harem, and Jaz and her stuff kind of was in in the back in a blurry area. Which I love. If you've been following the series, then you KNOW Alec almost needed a book of his own. But I love the mesh of Alec and how things were resolved for him, in a way it helped to cement some things, while Jaz kind of had some issues. Pretty sure she is a magnet for trouble.
That ending though?? Why Lizzie, why???? Left us with some burning questions. But not a crazy cliff hanger.
Can't wait for the Neck!!

Sister adventures

This book in the Neck-Romancer series follows the sisters and seems to be more about the development of their relationship. This one was a bit harder for me to enjoy but I believe it was integral to the story of Izzy and her men. Each book in this series seems to address some aspect of the FMCs relationship with the people around her as they face the challenges their lives bring. I can't wait for the next installment and I hope it focuses a bit more on the FMC and her men as that dynamic is the one that interests me the most. As far as this book went, it had a more dark theme but I will note each of the characters seems to grow a bit as a result of the conflicts that arise. I love the devotion that Izzy's men have for her. I am still looking for their HEA! Keep em coming!

I enjoyed this book. It was recommended to read the previous books to have a better context, but I was interested in the premise of this story, so I read it anyway without having read any of the previous books. While they would have been helpful, I still enjoyed this story. It was exciting, dangerous, and suspenseful and kept me at the edge of my seat. But for me the wonderful characters are the true treasure of this book. I love the dynamic between Jaz and her mates. I love how the men came together for Jaz's sake and you can really feel the emotion there. A great read and I would read more in this series. 4 stars.

Plot holes and editing issues, but still a good story

The story is still interesting, but there are SO MANY ongoing wrong words/grammar issues. And there are huge plot issues that are still not addressed 5 books into the series (like the fact that Alec's resurrection is supposed to be fading, but apparently who cares, because no one even so much as tries to address the issue. And no one tries to find Gil's body...wow, way to look out for your supposed soulmates chick.) The thing that keeps this a 4 star and keeps me reading is the poly relationship that includes all the guys. That is awesome and really well done.

Poor Jazz, can she never have a fully happy day. Jazz has four wonderful soul mates who will do anything for her and she now knows that she has a twin sister. Unfortunately, life is about to get complicated again. Jazz and Izzy are kidnapped so that someone can use Jazz's necromancer powers. The soul mates do finally find them, but now one of Jazz's mates is gone. Alex is now going on a mission to find Gil's body to bring him back home to Jazz. This is a great series and I cannot wait to read more.

Each character faces a different loss. Izzy and Jaz are getting to know each other but do not trust each other. Alec is losing precious time by blackouts. Pierce is losing his life slowly by being separated from Jaz. Seb loses Gilbert as they search for the women. The girls have been kidnapped and the guys can not feel them. Someone has taken them and imprisoned them. Who kidnapped the girls and why? Will the guys find them in time?

Jaz has her sister Izzy back but doesn't trust her. Their trying to stay under the radar for her sake since she's being hunted for using her magic. Their long lost cousin returns causing quite the commotion. Someone causes trouble for the girls. A secret that Sebastian has been hiding is revealed. The guys grow closer. Alec goes out on his own to retrieve something Jaz has been wanting for a long time. Overall, it's a great read and I could not put it down once I started. Jaz and her guys will drag you in. May As Well Finish

This story is so borderline. On the one hand, there are pieces that keep me wanting to know more. On the other hand, it’s like the author has one of those spinning wheels with the most outlandish situations and she’s just randomly choosing.

The harem is interesting. Sometimes they’re very tedious. Adding Izzy was complicated. The big bad isn’t much of a big bad. It’s like watching an episode of Scooby Doo.

And yet. I suppose since I’ve stayed this long I may as well finish the series.

Loved getting more of Jaz and her guys this book definitely makes you love the guys just so much more with how devasted they are by her being missing and to see how much more the guys bond with each other is amazing. I love how Elizabeth creates deeper relationships in this book between everyone and closes all the gaps between distant bonds but poor Gil hope Alec manages to find them and they can be reunited as a family. Love love loved this books can't wait to read more.🖤🖤🖤

Jaz has a tough go of it in this installment of her story! She’s faced with quite a few trials and tribulations and she has to stay strong in order to overcome them. As always, I just adore the relationship between Jaz and her men. They are such a wonderful family and they are always continuing to better themselves. There are quite a few twists and turns and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book to see where everything goes!

Love love love jaz's story, and this just, *chefs kiss*. I was not prepared for the devastation and then relief of this story, but omg it was one hell of a ride that I read in one sitting (I might have sacrificed previous sleep to read this 😂). I am, however, not ready for the next book to be the last, but I can't wait to see where the rest of the story goes.

Oh my goodness!! I just devoured this in less than a day and I need more!!
Not going to give any spoilers but Jaz and Izzy get to work some of their issues out and really bond as sisters. The men get a lot closer and have to rely on each other now more than ever.
This book has been a rollercoaster of emotions and twists and turns! And talk about that cliffhanger!!! Impatiently waiting for book 6!

This is the 5th book in Dunlap's Neck-Romancer series, this is a paranormal RH series about one strong, sassy leading lady and the three men who worship her but need to learn to get along. Neck-Rotic - book 5 in this series and Jaz goes through a lot in this book. She and her sister get kidnapped. In the course of which the guys bond more as a unit (which i liked that they all had the time to do that) but things are difficult for Jaz at the same time. My heart went out for all of them (it certainly brought on the emotions). Gilbert??? Nooooooooooo........you cant leave it like that!!! Damn Ill have to wait until the next book now. Im enjoying reading this series so much though

“Once again this story continues to amazed me though sadly this time also disappointed me. Don’t get me wrong, Lizzie wrote a great story but there were some parts that bothered me like the new mate. Again, I’m not complaining about it but when are going to see them complete? It’s getting odd the ‘adding along the story’ mates thing. The highlight of the book was the ending, funny thing but it’s promising for a new one.”

This is book 5 in the series and the third I have read. I have enjoyed this as much as the earlier books in the series.

The plot is written with warmth and wit, there are some sad elements that make you cry.

Definitely recommend this book and the series.

The Adventure Continues

Between four soulmates (and her soulmates finding out they’re soulmates), Jazz’s plenty busy, not to mention a sister from another timeline and - gasp - school! I loved how the love within the whole group evolved and grew - I just love love is love. The ending - gasp! - I’m excited for the next book in this series.

50% Sweet + 50% Spicy = 100% Ridiculous Entertainment. This is a great book for those stressful days where you just want to check out of reality with a little brain candy. Dunlap consistently executes with both the "come on, are you kidding me!" story lines coupled with the spicy "so hot I need a fan" scenes. I love the way the characters interact and am (again) left waiting for the next book.

Jaz really can't catch a break! Her mates love her and are very connected with her but there are still problema between them that must be overcome or bad things can happen. Izzy the twin sister os still an unknown chatecter. We aren't sure if se can trust her or not because She did out the guys in danger. A good read with a lot of plotting.

Amazing continuation of series

I love Jaz and her guys. Be sure to read the warning...for this book. This one was a bit darker, full of so much trouble for all Jaz, Izzy and their mates. Curious to see what is going to happen with Alec and Gilbert.
