Drama comes in threes. Or so that seems to be the case with Cameron. A shocking revelation followed up by a series of unfortunate events has left her stranded, hurt, and feeling more alone than ever. With the love of her life locked up, and a friend of her deceased ex wanting to be the special man in her life, what will Cameron decide to do? And whatever decision she does make, will it be the best one? New friends, faces, and drama added to the load she already has, will Cameron be able to make it out unscathed, and will her and Jude's relationship survive even with the many obstacles in the way?
Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.
Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.
Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.
Jude finally had to pay for his illegal dealings and found himself in jail. Cam's unplanned pregnancy forces her to choose between being a single mom with no financial means or making fast cash to pay her mortgage and bills. Cam knew stripping would never have a positive outcome, so she got a legit job, only to find herself fired after her enemies constantly made her life a living hell. No matter how hard Cam tried to live a normal life, she knew that stripping was the only way to make that fast money so she could pay her bills and stay afloat. New friends suck Cam back into stripping. She's betrayed over and over by everyone. Jude was the only person who looked out for her, but he was in jail so Cam was on her own and after tragedy struck, Jude pushed her away and inadvertently into the arms of another man. Cam slowly started to mature in this book. Even Jude finally starts to get his act together and fights for his family. Even through financial loss and family tragedy, Cam and Jude proved their relationship was strong.
I did enjoy this book not once did I feel sorry for Cameron when Marcus started hitting her And cheating on her with her best friend. I mean she should've learn her lesson by now that she shouldn't be friends with females because they gone hate her on the DL. I'm glad Kiki got killed that was karma for her killing her baby daddies etc . And glad Jude is back I liked that dude he the only dude in the book I liked besides his brother before he gotten killed. Good read though I enjoyed it .
Love, love....loved this book! Jade picked up right where she left off with part 2. There was no guessing. The story was filled with so much action and lots of drama! I hope this is not the end for Cameron and Jude, I'd like to hear more from them, if not in the Cameron series in a book of their own. I was very happy with the ending. Excellent job, Jade Jones!
Cameron is still the same girl who was filled with treacherous friends, who never think twice about betraying. She is still surrounded by violence, murder, regret, and love that comes with heavy terms and condition.
In the first book, she was just a stripper girl who was juggling the academics, and the pressures of her challenging job, that was stripping. She broke up with her boyfriend then, who was abusive, and started seeing a man who was promising. She lost a friend who was reckless in her hustle, and who dragged her in through the mess and mud she created, that was Pocahontas. Then in the second book, when she had though she was free from the carelessness of Pocahontas, she had Tiffany to deal with. Tiffany literally begged Cameron to get back into the stripping world after she had quit, slightly be because she was no longer that interested in it, and more about that her new boyfriend, Jude, forbade her from it. Now it confused Cameron when Tiffany started acting exactly like Pocahontas, putting her in dangerous situation with no regret like Poca did. Now in the third book, after Poca was gone, and so was Tiffany, what more could go wrong in Cameron's life?
Well, it his boyfriend. In this book, Jude goes to jail after it was uncovered by the law enforcement that he was involved in illegal tax evasions and stuff—he and his brother. He is sentenced to jail, and although they had vowed to each other that they will go through this thing together, side by side, it seems like talking is easier than doing because Cameron ends up not visiting Jude in jail. Cameron dates someone, and she starts befriending a girl called Ki Ki, and things start to down south.
I enjoyed it, but I still felt like it was repetitive, same as the previous book, all following what was happening on the first book. Pocahontas, Tiffany, and Ki Ki, all of these are same people to me, just different names and in different bodies. They all, for whatever reason, just sabotage Cameron, even though she didn't give them a reason to. Ki Ki was the one that made me furious, maybe her history of mental health is what made it believable.
The author didn't fail to dive us deep into the underworld of stripping from both male and female perspectives. I loved the rush, the theme and pace the book carried. It never lost the essens the series is about.
The major let down for me was the change in point of view. The first and second book were strictly written in the first person point of view, and I understood since this book was about Cameron, and even named after her. It all made it personall, and intimate. So the sudden transition to third-person unlimited point of view was a bit turn off. I didn't understand. When we now could hear the side of Marcus, Ki Ki, I got confused. Maybe it was because of the added casts, that wasn't there in the second book, but it would have been loveh had the authet found the way around it, and managed to centre it around Cameron with first-person point of view that she we have been accustomed to.
I'm surprised Cameron gave Marcus a chance to finally be with her after every she been through but she felt like Jude wasn't there for her things happen. I was shock to find out that Marcus end up having demons just like Silk Cameron ex boyfriend it's mess up he end up hurting her like Silk but most of all cheating on her with someone who she consider a friend but the girl did the price with her life. I enjoy this book once you start reading you can't put the book down
So things look like it's taking a turn for Cameron, at least I hope. Marcus was a nut just like Silk. And let's not talk about Ki Ki, she was truly crazy. This series is amazing.
She has the worst luck ever, she stay in some mess. KiKi was crazy for real and Marcus turned out to be an ass. I hope she finally gets her happy ending drama free.
Potential still untapped.. New narrator(s) needed for this author
This edition was a revamp of the previous 2. Cameron did have some growth in that she completed school and became a business owner. This character was kept in the same simple mindset unfortunately. I wanted to see how Marcus would be different from silk or jude. He was silk 2.0 and Kiki was Cam's nemesis with a new name. Jude is a decent character.
I',m holding out hope that the potential the series has comes out...
I listened to this book. The narrator could have helped keep the story interesting even though it was predictable. The delivery is still sleepy and uninterested. I fast forwarded each time, the narrator sung a ringtone or a song playing on the radio. It was not good. Maybe she'll choose a new narrator, because the current one is extremely distracting. I have returned all 3 audio books hoping that the author will choose differently and the story will meet its potential.

"Cameron III" by Jade Jones was the third in this series and I loved the ending. This author novel will find this heroine as always with more drama in the life of Cameron. Cameron had some big decisions to make, so will she make it a good one? We all know Cameron from 'Cameron 1 and 2,' and you will just have to pick up the novel "Cameron III" to see if her decisions in the end will have been good or does it just all work its way out from a dangerous situation.
There were some new characters that are quite colorful that really brings on a even more drama. In the end will Cameron get the only man that has loved her from the first time he saw her? I was very pleased with the ending. Very well done Ms. Jones.
I enjoyed reading this book. Jade Jones did a good. She's never disappointed or misused about this book. Cameron was a good and funny book to read. I like Cameron in this book. I'm happy that she quit her stripping job and she continues her dream as fashion. Also, I'm happy that Cameron opens her business as fashion. Ki Ki has mental problem. Marcus has mental problem. Jude was wrong for pushing Cameron away about his issues. I'm sorry hearing about Jude's brother died by this random due. Jude and Cameron are back together. This author & book deserve a five stars. I'm looking forward to read another book from this author.
Y’all know I’m a Jade Jones fan. I got a lot of her books from being in her group but she is one of the authors that I’d use my Amazon credit on anytime and I have.
I listened to the Cameron Series books 1-8 on Audible. I really enjoyed watching Cameron and Jude amongst other characters in the book grow from teenager to adults with kids of their own.
Like any other relationship they went through up’s and downs. Illegal business, strip clubs, murder, side chicks, backstabbing, jealous friends and more. If you’re a lover of urban fiction this is a ride you might want to take.
Hope Cameron learned a good lesson after all she been through. June was a good man with his own little issues but had a good heart. Marcus needs help not jail. Kiki needed to be under the jail. I guess we don't have to worry about those corpse cause no one ain't lived to tell. Huh or maybe not. Lol will there be a part 4 cause I can see Camerons skeletons get lose out the closet. Great read.
Another great read from the Cameron series. In book 3 Cameron has toned it down and decided to stop stripping, with her man Jude in jail she is doing her best to hold him down but there is a certain someone who won't leave her alone. She's met another female friend named Ki Ki who isn't wrapped too tight and things really it the fan. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first two and I can't wait to read Cameron 4
I haven't read in years. I got back into reading because I'm always on my daughter's case so I decided to practice what I preached. I saw Shakeniah Joe on Instagram promoting the author and decided to check it out since Cameron 1 was free. Of course you just have to keep going once you are in so I brought the series. Let's say I was not disappointed and I can't wait until the finale. I am so impressed with the author I almost finished reading all her books in a few weeks.
Cameron has been through so much in her young life. The choices that she make when it comes to her partners, are so relatable. She's been assaulted, held at gunpoint, and abused in more than one way. Thank goodness that she doesn't seem to look like what she's been through. I'm so happy that she left the pole along, and she graduated! Everything that's happened to her, and she still believe in love....she's getting closer to her forever after.
This book is so good! I couldn't put it down. Once you into the groove of this book it's easy to just breeze through it, it's just that good..I loved Cameron in here! This book I would normally rate a 5 Star read but I'm only giving it 4 because its to many grammatical errors!!!! Awesome read anyway!
Damn what's up with all these delusional people. Don't get me wrong it makes for a great read, but it would be devastating for anyone that actually had to live through it. Cameron just can't seem to catch a break, every time it seems like things are looking up something always happens. Jade Jones did an amazing job once again.
More drama, less abuse for Cameron. What is changing is her will to be ok. She starts to speak up for herself. Then whooping that a$$ when other strippers kept stepping to her. Now that Jude is out of jail, he wants to marry Cameron and with their baby boy Justin become a legitimate family.
I have become a huge fan of Jade Jones fan.The book picks up exactly where the second book left off.Cameron picking the pieces of her life after Jude goes to jail. She finds herself feeling lost, lonely and betrayed. These feelings thrust her into the arms of Marcus. She also meets Kiki and they bond over a secret that they will take to their grave
This was another good series i felt sorry for Cameron because she did not knw how to pick real friends she always got stuck wit the trifling ones i am glad her and jude made their way back to each other i think they really were made for each other
Awesome book I sure didn't want it to end the way it did but Cameron went thru a lot this book was so crazy in a good way I'm ready for the Cameron 4 Jade Jones sure knows how to write books that keeps her supporters like me wanting more
