Written by Felix Carroll, Loved, Lost, Found is a collection of beautiful stories of everyday people who discover God's extraordinary mercy. They include a former abortionist, a blind man, an unfaithful husband, a former cult member, a rape victim, a prisoner, a former "workaholic," and a survivor of the "Miracle on the Hudson" plane crash, among others. The book begins with a story about Maureen Digan, whose miraculous healing in 1981 led to the beatification of Sr. Maria Faustina Kowalska. Now recognized as a saint, this nun's revelations in the 1930s "known today as the message of Divine Mercy " play a major role in each one of the conversion stories in this collection. Through St. Faustina, Jesus reiterates for our times the Gospel message that He is Love and Mercy itself, calling us to turn to Him in trust, receive His mercy, and extend His mercy to others.
Loved, Lost, Found is a book that shows you God’s amazing love and mercy in a way you cannot doubt. It is a love story of how He takes our brokenness, our sin, our despair and turns it into joy when we repent. It’s the embrace of the Father of His prodigal son, and a book you don’t want to miss.
Liked the variety of people in the book. There were 17 stories ranging from convicted murderers to pediatric oncologists, and from people in their 20's to elderly, all with unique ways they have experienced or showed mercy.
This is a very good book on people getting a second chance in life from God. It has quite a few miracles in it. I also enjoyed it because some of these true stories take place in Chicago.
