A note from the author:
Thanks for visiting my Goodreads page.
I wanted to tell something meaningful about myself, but let's start with the important stuff--I love swoon-worthy heroes. The kind of heroes that are strong and would take a bullet for you, but also want to open your door and listen to you pour out your heart.
What else? I grew up moving. If you’ve read my books, you won’t be surprised by this. I have a lot of moving themes through my books centered around characters experiencing pain from someone moving.
It was hard. But, I believe there’s always a seed of good that comes out of everything hard, so I think the best thing that came from it was that I learned to love books.
And I had to learn a lot of mad skills on friend making. It gave me a love of people…good people, compassionate people. Interesting people of all kinds.
What else about me? I am a mother and wife! I have four amazing boys that are like little ninjas running around. I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my amazing husband who doesn’t get intimidated by all the billionaire men in my life.
I have a fierce love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for Him and for the healing and forgiveness I’ve gotten to experience in my life. This is a theme in many of my books.
I love being an American. I am so proud of the men and women that support and preserve our freedom. This is another theme you will find in my books.
I am so grateful for my fans and for the support and love you all show me! Don’t stop reading!
I enjoyed reading Chance: Undercover Cowboy Looking for God and Love. I loved the tight-bonds in the Stone family and in the Cross family. Author Taylor Hart has written a terrific second-chance romance wrapped up in suspense. I would have preferred that the ending had been stretched out some. The HEA came a little too neatly and hastily for my taste. Chance and Kelly are great characters, and I definitely wanted things to work out for them. The underlying mystery continues on, but this did feel like a complete story to me. I would happily read more from this author. I received a complimentary copy and am sharing my opinion of this exciting book.
The first 30 chapters were really good as there was mystery and intrigue… but the last 9 closing chapters were just really lame, kinda like high school literature. It makes me wonder if there was a deadline to meet… and the storyline was rushed to completion?
The conquistador gold strikes again. This has been quite the treasure hunt. Chance now gets his second chance romance. He and Kelly were really sweet together. It was fun to see how well they still knew each other after all the years. This was a sweet story of loss and second chances.
I suggest starting at the beginning of the Conquistador gold to understand the full series with The Family Stone Inn.
Chance and Kelly's story is one that was not at all what I expected, and I love that. I feel like Taylor handled a delicate situation with care and it was a really good read. Kelly left Cross Creek to chase her dreams, well they didn't turn out as she hoped, she ends up in South Port of all places, as she has fond memories of the place. Wouldn't you know it, Chance, who was her first love, is ALSO in South Port trying to find the gold that has been messing with his family and the Stones too. So if you have read the Stones, you get to revisit them and see how they are doing. If you have not, you'll be able to follow along in the book fine, BUT you should go back as these books are all fantastic. Book one and two of Cross Creek will help you with this one, but you CAN totally read them out of order and not be lost . The search for the gold is interesting, but secondary. I am super excited for the next book, well because I wonder who or what will be the suspeseful part, I cannot say why or I will spoil the suspense in this book, BUT you have to love these books, as they have it all, true love, HEA, AND some light suspense. The whole series has me swooning for these cowboys!!
A second chance story with danger, suspense, and hope In this book, Taylor Hart has woven a story of the hope of a second chance, danger, suspense, and acceptance. Chance’s family, along with the Stone family, have been involved in the search for conquistador gold with little success. Instead, both families have been subjected to threats and attacks. Now Chance Cross and his family have found another hint of where the gold may be located and he heads to the Stone home to follow the leads with their help. His first night there he sees a woman who looks like his high school sweetheart, Kelly, but he knows she’s not even in the United States. Kelly is indeed in the US. She has fled an abusive boyfriend and is hiding from him, trying to start over. As they finally reconnect, they join forces to follow the hints but dangers suspected and dangers unknown follow their every step. This book had me wanting to read just one more page until the end. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
The sheriff of Cross Creek finds love with an old flame from long ago.
Loved being in Cross Creek again. Chance and Kelly story was very fast paced. He went down to South Beach undercover to find his parents gold. In the process he encounters his old flame on the run. They work together on finding the gold bring them back to Cross Creek and to the cross family. Not long after they return Chance and his brothers have to save Kelley from a madman. Chance falls more in love with Kelly and they get married. Looking forward to Blaze, Nash and Porter stories. Loved Colt and Sierra story.
"Chance" Cross Creek Wyoming Ranch Romances, book 3 by Taylor Hart A Wild Ride, for sure!! I was hooked on this story from the first page or maybe the second.. A wild and fun story with romance and suspense. A bit unbelieveable; but hey, I do love fiction. I read this as a stand-a-lone. I wonder how I missed the prior stories in the series.. I will put them on my TBR list. Happy Reading ! ! Note: This review expresses my honest opinion. I received an ARC of this story from the author via Bookfunnel.
I have loved following the Stone family and now the Cross family as they search for the conquistador’s gold. But even more than the treasure hunting, I love watching these sweet families find their second chance romance. Chase is such a good man who was hurt by Kelly. Reading as they found their way back together was perfect. There were a couple of unexpected twists as the story unfolded. I couldn’t put the book down. If you haven’t read the rest of these books, don’t wait! Go get them! I can’t wait to read what happens next for the Cross family!
This is such a wonderful series and I loved going back to South Port in search of the gold. Chance leaves his home and goes to South Port and meets up with the Stone family. But the biggest surprise is he sees his high school sweetheart Kelly, that he hasn’t seen for 10 years. I love how the story flows, how there is so much suspense and even some danger, and I have to admit that I am glad that Truman finally got what he deserved 😊 But of course the best thing is how Taylor Hart brings all that together to a ending with a happily ever after, and another second chance romance.
This is a great second chance romance. Chance Cross whose family we have met in previous books goes to meet up with the Stone family to continue looking for the conquistadors gold. While on the journey he happened to run into his first love Kelly. Their story has some touching moments and some moments that are heart stopping. You will be rooting for Chance and Kelly to get their second chance. We are left wondering at the end will the Cross family be able to find the gold or will it remain a mystery?
This was a delightful addition to the Jagger Billionaire series. Each book is a stand-alone but it's just so satisfying to read them all! How in the world can you grow up with that much money and not be affected by it? I love the banter in this book between Raya and Mark. It seems like they fell for each other way too fast but I guess you get to do that in books. Personally I would be a little bit skeptical of a scam if a man I just barely met claimed he wanted to marry me. However I did love the story and can't wait for the next Taylor Hart book to come out!
Chance takes us back to South Port continuing the search for the gold. He was surprised to see his old flame and former best friend, Kelly Hamilton. Kelly has chosen to run away from an abusive ex boyfriend. She has mixed emotions when she sees Chance Cross, her best friend from Cross Creek. What new clues do we find and where do they lead the reader? The treasure hunt is a mystery that danger seems to follow. Reading this book is a fun escape full of adventure.
I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Chance Cross goes to South Port to work with the Stone family to try to find more clues about the missing Conquistador’s gold. While there he finds his former best friend and girlfriend, Kelly Hamilton. She is back from England and plans to open an art gallery in South Port. As they slide back into a relationship despite the fact that she is pregnant and has separated from her abusive boyfriend. The twists and turns in this book definitely hold your interest, and draw the two families closer.
Book 3 of the Cross Creek Wyoming Ranch series features a second chance romance story about love, regret, and second chances. Chance is the town sheriff with the “don’t mess with my family” attitude. In this book he visits another town to get more clues about the gold hunt mystery. Kelly’s hiding from her abusive ex and starting over in this small town with good memories from her childhood with her best friend growing up, he was also her high school sweetheart until she left for Europe and he wanted to stay on his family’s ranch. Chance and Kelly run into each other with quite the reunion.
This is a sweet second chance book. It includes some descriptions of abuse, but it also includes faith and prayer. While it certainly can be read as a stand alone book, it will be easier to understand if you read the Stone Family series books in order first, then read the Cross Creek books. Each book is an installment in the overall mystery.
Thank you to the author for giving me a chance to proofread the book, and I chose to leave an honest review.
Couldn’t put it down. The search for the Conquistador Gold continues in this second chance romance. Chance goes to South Port and the Stone family. Meets his first love Kelly again. Eventually they head back to Wyoming. Danger continues to plague the search. The Stone family and the Porters become more entwined. The characters are wonderful and the story holds your interest. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.
This series has been very suspenseful and this book continues that model. Who knew that conquistador gold would create so many problems and affect so many lives? The Cross and Stone families are committed to God, family and country. An unexpected (or God lead) meetup between Chance Cross and his high school love, Kelly, in South Port brings them back together. Jo Grafford has again brought us romance, danger, faith and a few, okay, more than a few surprises. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
Much more gold hunting, excitement, and danger for the Stone family and the Cross family. More discoveries about the gold and what may have happened years ago. More signs and symbols discovered. More answers, more questions. And the mystery continues. I love this story and this ongoing saga.
I really enjoyed this book...I was engaged from page one! As with the other books in the series, it is a second chance romance filled with drama, tight family bonds and friendships. Trigger warning: domestic abuse & assault I received an ARC courtesy of the author and this is my honest, voluntary review.
Another fabulous and thrilling story about one of the brothers whose family has been dealing with gold from an ancient ship. I enjoyed the second chance romance and the irony that something meant to hurt her saved her life.
In Chance: Second Chance Runaway Billionaire Romance the hunt for the gold continues! In this well plotted, wilddly exciting book, Chance and Kelly reconnect in South Port as Chance tries to prove that the gold never left the area. This book emphasizes that family is what you make it. Of course, the bad guy is still after the gold which adds some suspense to this tale as Chance and Kelly race back to Cross Creek, Wyoming. I love this series and Ms. Hart's wonderful characters. I could not put it down and am sad I managed to finish it in one day!
If you want a fast paced book about finding what was lost, forgiveness, prayers, family and love this is the book to read. Coming back from pain to find forgiveness and love with open arms.
Absolutely love this book great continuation of the series but stand alone, clean and sweet, easy to read the book have great likable characters, mystery and suspense some action great wholesome read. I truly enjoyed it and recommend it.
This is a very exciting and inspiring story. Chance meets up with his past love, Kelley, and he is still very attracted to her. However, Kelley is dealing with something from a previous relationship.
I adored how Hart weaved scripture, prayer and God’s love into this book! I absolutely LOVED Chance and Kelley. Their story was full of heartache, which transcended beautifully into heart warmth.
I loved how raw and deeply human these characters were. Such an amazing read! 💌
An enjoyable cross between cowboys and soldiers looking for gold. Finding out things about their parents as they search and puzzle out clues together. Including second chance love connections.
Not What I Expected! Oh my goodness! The hunt for the gold continues with Chance going to South Port to work with the Stone family to find the treasure hidden by their fathers. There are more twists and turns as the mystery continues… And as Chance and Kelly discover their own second chance at a happily ever after. I’m dying to find out what happens next in the treasure hunt. Of course, the best treasure, and the greatest second chance romance is seeing the characters who have lost their faith rediscover Father’s infinite love, and getting to see how characters from previous books/series have grown in their faith.
