I won this book through GoodReads First Read program.

With the onset of AI and CHATGPT, this is a very innovative book. Probably the first of many of its kind. The first of its kind that I have read at least.

I am a reader of religious books so this was right up my alley. I did learn a lot about other religions that have differing views from Christianity. I also learned about the Moral Compass Theory which seems to be at the heart of what the author or chatgpt believes.

It seemed very robotic to read the answers given to the intriguing questions raised by the author. I wish the author would set out how this book came about. How were the questions developed? What did the author do with those questions? What the letters and numbers meant before each paragraph? This could have been set out at the beginning of the conversation to get those of us who haven't used chatgpt up to speed.

The future is here. I am not too sure I am looking forward to it.

Okay, this book is very different from anything I’ve ever read and I think that’s why I liked it. While I’m familiar with ChatGPT I’ve never actually used it for anything other than messing around with it for fun. The questions asked were focused on humans and morality. Like other reviewers, I would’ve been interested to find out how the author came up with those questions but I did find the answers fascinating. All in all a good read! You have to be prepared to think and maybe even challenge what you believe.

absolutely amazing content that keeps me coming back. this is my kind of content. the only problem is the physical books terrible design and quality. It won't even last 3 years of loving usage. I knew this would eventually happen as this is the book that will force me to buy bookbinding equipment. unfortunately, due to the quality of the book I have to reduce my 5 stars to 3 as a great book shouldn't force you to rebind it.

While the “conversations” bring up many interesting questions, and the primary author has definitely spent a lot of time and thought on these topics, the attempt to have a philosophical conversation with ChatGPT leaves much to be desired. The “responses” of the AI to the author’s questions are often repetitive, frequently just regurgitating the ideas and statements presented to it. The primary takeaway from this book is that ChatGPT is nothing more than a glorified meta- search engine, that has been “trained” to respond in ways that will appeal to the questioner, but without risking offense to anyone. I’d be interested in reading other books by William Search, provided that they are not co-authored by AI.
