Seriously ya'll, I'm doing a happy dance right now because the series is OVER. It was so drawn out.
In truth, maybe e series wouldn't have been that horrible if there were two books instead of four.....and some other major changes.
So the last book...There seemed to be no character direction at all. I feel like Mick was one character in the first book and a completely different one in this one. Same with Meagan.
Obviously, the book ends on a somewhat HEA, if you can even call it that. It's known (and a huge waste of time) throughout most of these blocks because she's sort of with Mick, yet always pining for Jason.
The unfortunately part is, Jason isn't even around much. There's no "cute" love story or dialogue.
I actually liked the storyline of who Mick turned out to be in relation to Meghan's past, but again, it took far too long to get there.
All in all, I wouldn't waste your time on this series as it is far more frustrating than its worth.
As for the last installment of this series, it was good. Ended the way I figured it would. The little twist she put in the end was good. It made me not want to put it down. in all the series was a good light read. I still think more attention should be paid to the proof reading after the typing is finished.
I liked this series as far as the basic setup of the afterlife. I liked that there was a school for the recently deceased to learn some really cool things. It would be nice if there was an afterlife as interesting as it was shown in this story. I do have to say that there was one major aspect of the story that was very upsetting. To know that Mick raped Meaghan, got her pregnant, and then Meaghan marries him because she is pregnant. To me that was a very distressing part of the story. Things like rape should not happen in the afterlife. I would have expected Meaghan to tell someone, but she didn't. Then Meaghan and Jason? name the baby Mick just because he was forced by the laws of decency to sacrifice himself when he had no other choice? To name the baby after your rapist and feel that he really loves you when obviously the rapist-husband is a controlling freak that couldn't treat Meaghan right even after he more or less forced her to marry him.I do not have the words to illustrate just how distasteful I find that aspect of the story. I also wasn't pleased that it turns out that the wonderful Mick was always a jerk but was so out of it that he called it love! Bullpucky!
First of all I FUCKING HATE MICK.. How dare he fucking force her AGAIN, after she told him no. Who fucking cares if you're married.. How disgusting.. he deserves to rot in hell.. And then to make her think it's her fault, that she's just overthinking it.. Her poor "Conscience" is evil and hateful and is giving her false ideas and thoughts.. Quit calling her whiny, she's a teenager.. I don't know how long I can take his BS.. THEN HE FUCKING HIT HER.. THE MOTHER FUCKER HIT HER.. Im at least glad Abick (?) stood up to him and Im hoping she does too. THIS DUMB FUCKING BITCH.. OH MY GOSH.. At least he fucking died.. but he was working with dude the whole time.. honestly this was shit. And she ended up with Jason after all.
In this final book in the Afterlife series, Megan is pregnant with a new child spirit. She and Mick are about to get married, but suddenly things are not right as Mick shows too much anger toward her. Can things fix themselves after they are married for eternity? Can't Jason stop showing up? There are truths Megan will learn about her family. This is very suspenseful, with a spellbinding ending to this series. How I love the stories created by Willow Rose. She obviously was born to be a very entertaining author of many genres. Read all her books.
I am an atheist so was surprised at myself for reading this series. Even though atheist I loved the 4 book series. I agree with the others that the editing needs work but other than that I fell in love with the characters and the story line. It would be nice to believe that there is something better out there than the hellish world we live in. Author has a great imagination.
This is the 4th and final book in this series. I have already reviewed the first 3 books all of which I loved and read through without reading anything else in between them. From the death of a young girl to her gaining a family in her Afterlife, this series brings love, peace, horror, pain, fear, extraordinary characters and leaves you at times wondering what would happen next. I highly recommend it.
After having the first three books of the series of the series on my Kindle unread I but the bullet and jumped right in. Soon I was caught up in the lives (or rather afterlives) of Meghan and her friends. Always had my concerns about Mick, and how right I was.
This was a satisfying ending to a semi-completed boxed set. I found the whole story a bit confusing until I let go of my preconceived notions of what the afterlife should be and accepted this as the author's young adult fantasy.
The whole story is fun and a little different. Give it a try if you need an escape from the confusion of the real world.
This whole series has been so good, especially the this one! I was so happy that she was able to getaway from one person and go to the right guy for her. The series made me wish that there was a place like that after death.
I give this story, all 4 books 5 stars but would given it a higher rating.I was captivated from the beginning of the first book.It was like I got sucked in to the story and was part of it.Amazing story line.Absolutely loved it.
I really enjoyed this series. The good versus evil is a very interesting read. I hope the Afterlife is as good as the book describes. The characters are well developed. I truly loved all the books. I can't wait to read more, from this author.
Once again Willow Rose had me hooked. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and, although I think these stories are written for a younger audience, they appealed to this older ladies (66) satisfaction. Willow writes well in most genre's. More please!
I really enjoyed this book and I was happy that everything worked out for Megan and Jason. Sad that Mick did what he did but he sacrificed himself for Megan and their boy in the end after he caused it to begin with.
I really had to finish Meghans story.please don't tease this before you have read the other three books. I diapers a lot of what happened in this story. By the second book it's a beautiful story with a lot of twists and turns. This book wraps everything up nicely
When I first started to read this series, I put the book down. Not real interested. But I decided to give it another go. And I loved it. I read all 4 of the afterlife books. It turned out an enjoyable read.
Fantastic ending to a wonderful series!! Meghan is dead. She is transported to the afterlife to go to school...again. She'll be there for 3 years learning all about it. Love, adventure, morality, flying and....time travel?! Finally, who will win her heart?
I was happy with how this book ended, however, why Megan didn't see what was happening from book two was heart breaking. I was really angry and almost stopped reading. It worked its self out though.
I just finished the 4th. Volume of the afterlife books. I could not put it down. All of the stories made me feel as if I was right there. So beautiful and also scary. Willow is a Fantastic author.
Courageous is Book 4 and final book in the Afterlife series. I suggest reading them in order to really understand the characters. Buy the full series because once you start book 1, you'll know you want to know how it ends.
