After Ginny's last adventure, she was certain that all things supernatural could be explained away with logic. Then she meets Count Nicholas Berchtold. The man is captivating, sexy and desirable, but he also possesses an ability to transport Ginny to another world. A world where she can enjoy incredible sex without any worries.
She is certain Nicholas is her man until she meets David Marson. Brooding, handsome and mysterious, Ginny is left again to decide which man is the one for her.
After discovering a secret to her family's past, Ginny learns that she possesses some strange skills of her own. Will her character's past make her decision between the two men easier... or infinitely more difficult?
I started writing fiction at the age of 12 for my friends. Of course, in those days, I was the heroine, saving dashing rock stars from their ruin. Now, somewhat older, hopefully wiser, I decided to finally put down my ideas on paper and write about a heroine not unlike myself (personality wise, certainly not realistically).
After finding my own soulmate (which is just another word for the only man willing to live with me), and having two beautiful children, I'm changing my stay-at-home mom status to part-time author. Which isn't to say that my days are not still filled with laundry and dishes, but I've also added writing.
I have many plans for my heroine, Ginny. She will meet matchmakers, pirates, cowboys and maybe a vampire or two. If I've read it in a romance novel, you can bet, Ginny will live it in an upcoming novel.
Thank you for all the support from my family and friends. Without my overly encouraging husband, none of these books would have been written. And I really appreciate my fellow neighborhood mommies. They make the best editors in the world.
I struggle increasingly with these novels. They continue to get more shallow by the page. In this novel Ginny is torn between the vampire and the vampire hunter. What does she have to sacrifice? I'm still not sure. If she chooses the vampire, she sacrifices a real relationship and children. If she chooses the hunter, she has to sacrifice her rich pain-free, orgasm filled fantasy life with the vampire. This doesn't seem like a true sacrifice. The plots are thinning and the over-emphasis on sex is increasing. Looking forward to the end of the series. Also, the editing in this novel was also really poor. So many glaring verb tense issues and sentences with extraneous words...
I have absolutely loved all of the previous books in Connors' "Lesson" series, but I was less enthusiastic about this one. This story had a bit more of the paranormal/supernatural turn to it--although I love the time travel and the premise of the "Lesson" series, I am not in to other supernatural or paranormal genres.
The story is still worth reading, however, as I am sure the lesson that Ginny learned in "Sacrifice" will follow her into her next adventure!
I enjoyed the paranormal aspect of this book. It was an unexpected twist. Ginny is stubborn and still thinks with a 21st century attitude, which makes her so intriguing to the heroes. Didn't like how the story with the ended. Things were tied up too neatly that it seemed rushed and abrupt. Still look forward to Ginny's next lesson.
Not as good as the others because she didn't really stir up trouble this time. There were a few laughable moments. The "Lesson" series is usually very conflicted. Every book I've read was heavily conflicted. This one was very toned down. It was a good read...a new approach. It just didn't fit the lesson series like I'd hoped.
I absolutely LOVED this series! I loved how much history was wrapped up into each book. They are easy reads and I found myself laughing quite a lot!! Great story lines and I can't wait till the next book comes out!
Book 7 of 9. I love a good vampire book. Ginny did the heroine proud. She didn't fall to far for the vampire before realizing that something else was better for her. David was amazing. He is one of the best hero's Ginny has had. Great Book.
This was definitely one of favorites in this of books. The introduction of the paranormal themes were unexpected and made Ginny' s decision and her ultimate sacrifice so interesting and difficult.
