"The View From the Thirteenth Floor" by A.M. Hartnett was a free read on Smashwords. It's a really short story but one with some originality and a fair amount of steam, especially considering the two lead characters never have actual sex.

There wasn't much in terms of character development and you can't really make any sort of connection with either Grace or Jacques. There's obviously a kink factor going on between them since there's the whole idea of voyeurism that sparks the "relationship" (I'm using this term VERY loosely).

The short story was pretty good and interesting. There's no romance and there's no sex but all parties end up feeling somewhat satisfied. Three stars for "The View From the Thirteenth Floor"!
