Club Wicked #3

My Wicked Devil

Rate this book
After a motorcycle accident left her with a fractured pelvis, former dare devil and actress Kira Harmony cannot have sex without pain. Unwilling to give up on her dreams of someday having a normal love life, she has come to Club Wicked to find a Dom. And not just any Dom. Kira is looking for the best sadist she can find, a Master who can help her learn how to turn her pain into pleasure and help her escape the prison her body has become. Lord Bryan Sutherland has always had a taste for meeting the needs of masochistic submissives. When Kira contacts him, her plea for his help intrigues him. He's always loved curvy redheads, and they certainly have an explosive chemistry together, but he doesn't know if it is possible to establish the kind of trust needed in order to train her mind to convert agony into ecstasy. That trust is sorely tested when Kira continually pushes herself too far and refuses to use her safeword. Bryan must make a decision; continue to train Kira and run the risk of seriously hurting her, or walk away from the uncontrollable woman who holds the key to his heart.

Ann Mayburn

Ann is Queen of the Castle to her wonderful husband and three sons in the mountains of West Virginia. In her past lives she's been an Import Broker, a Communications Specialist, a US Navy Civilian Contractor, a Bartender/Waitress, and an actor at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. She also spent a summer touring with the Grateful Dead(though she will deny to her children that it ever happened).

From a young age she's been fascinated by myths and fairytales, and the romance that often was the center of the story. As Ann grew older and her hormones kicked in, she discovered trashy romance novels. Great at first, but she soon grew tired of the endless stories with a big wonderful emotional buildup to really short and crappy sex. Never a big fan of purple prose, throbbing spears of fleshy pleasure and wet honey pots make her giggle, she sought out books that gave the sex scenes in the story just as much detail and plot as everything else-without using cringe worthy euphemisms. This led her to the wonderful world of Erotic Romance, and she's never looked back.

Now Ann spends her days trying to tune out cartoons playing in the background to get into her 'sexy space' and has learned to type one handed while soothing a cranky baby.

Get a towel for clean up in aisle four! Good lord almighty. I leaked all over my chair when reading the hot scenes from the middle to last half of this book. Ms. Mayburn is turning up the BDSM heat and playing to all my favourite kinks. For this, I am rating it a four star.

In the third of this series, the BDSM is focused on a sadist and a SAM (smart ass masochist). Kira Harmony is a daredevil who dared one too many times. Recovering from a horrific motorcycle accident, she's looking to take back her sexuality. Not sure if it is purely a physical or mental hurdle for sexual intercourse, she turns to a friend who introduces her to BDSM. Kira is searching for a sadist to turn her pain to pleasure.

Lord Bryan Sutherland is one of the more sadistic Doms at Wicked. He's actually an English Lord too! In the previous book, he came across as a complete jerk. Not sure how my view of him could change. With him as a lead character, my expectations were low. How could this asshat be a decent Dom? Of course he could be a very good sadist and wielding his instruments of pleasurable torture, but he's such a dickweed!

Ms. Mayburn completely shows a different side to Bryan. I'm blown away. Who is this man? Totally not what I was expecting. The character development and insights for both Kira and Bryan are great. Their past really helps build how they are in the present. What I'm most impressed by is Ms. Mayburn taking a different route for some of the plot "twists". She could have easily thrown in some outrage or miscommunication conflict. Instead, she elects to bypass easy plot devices and bring in fresh interaction between these two leads. For this, I'm ecstatic. I loathe the tired trope of an outraged woman making her lover's past an issue for their relationship.

The really good stuff is the BDSM. Oh my lord the scenes in here are delicious. Ms. Mayburn blends reality with fiction so very well. While the actual BDSM acts are easily plausible, the location and the "window dressing" is pure hedonistic fantasy. The single tail whipping has me curious and wanting to experience it. Wax play which is one of my favourite fetishes is also included. Even better, there are a couple of hawt F/f scenes. If fireplay were thrown in, it would have been a complete sexy meltdown for me. The way Ms. Mayburn sets up her scenes, it shows she knows her stuff. She's either been experimenting more in real life or doing a lot more research. The reader enjoys the benefits of her hard work. This delightful BDSM novel is recommended for kinky readers who enjoy SM and want to see what it's like with a sadist.

Kira Harmony used to be an actress who does her own stunts; a daredevil by nature. After a terrible accident, her pelvis wasn't the same as it once had been and every time she had sex, she was in pain. She tried to be with women but it just wasn't the same. She wanted a man she could have a family with someday and if she couldn't have sex without pain, then she would just have to find a way for her pain to be converted to pleasure.

After tons of research, she decided she needed a sadistic Dom who can help her . In Club Wicked, Master Bryan was the only one who caught her eye. The attraction was instant and there was no doubt that he's the one she needed.

Kira has an addiction to danger. It sizzles her blood. She is truly an adrenaline junkie... but Bryan can't trust her enough not to put herself in danger that might lead to a re-injury; he wasn't a risk taker and therein lies the problem in their relationship. Will they be able to overcome it?

This is the first time I've read something in romance that is quite plausible. The conflicts and struggles are just so... real. I love that their personalities contradict and they had to fight to make it work. I'll say it again--I love that.

I knew there was something more to Master Bryan than meets the eye! He was portrayed as a real-time jerk in his brief appearances in the previous book but I actually liked him and found him amusing. He is, by far, my favorite Master in the series.

Kira is the kind of heroine that you will adore at the same time want to choke her to death...

I'll have to say how both Kira and Bryan went out of their comfort zones and compromised for their relationship to work was so lovely, so realistic.

In the end, Kira isn't so bad after all.

I can't not comment on the scenes. Ann Mayburn writes the hottest and the kind of sex that will leaving you panting. The best one was the that will set your eReader on fire. I was lucky mine didn't but almost! :p

P.S., Bryan is actually an English lord--Lord Bryan de Sade. Just for that, more points for him! :D

“𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐬𝐨 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬.”

I’m such a fan of BDSM centered romances and this series, specifically, this book fed me so well.

It was the perfect mixture of emotional and sexy and I ate up every single page.

Kira Harmony can’t have sexy. No, really she can’t. She was a former dare devil and while on a motorcycle, she got into a crash that fractured her pelvis. Any attempt at sex is painful for her but she doesn’t want to give up hope at finding her happily ever after someday which leads her to Club Wicked where she meets her wicked devil.

I’ve never read anything like this book and it was an emotional journey for both the characters and me. I love both of these characters so much and I freaking love this world and I can’t wait to continue on with the rest of the series next year.

In this the third installment of the "Club Wicked" series Kira Harmony has come to the club to find a sadist who can help her. She had been involved in a stunt gone wrong on a motorcycle and sustained injuries that make it impossible for her to enjoy traditional sex anymore. It is her hope that BDSM will make it possible to be intimate again without experiencing the debilitating pain she lives with day to day.

Lord Bryan Sutherland, cameoed the previous book in this series, is the master sadist of the club. He is both feared and sought after yet has not been able to find the one submissive who can complete his life. Just as he's ready to give up finding his fantasy sub he is asked by a friend to help out with a newbie to the club who is having medical problems and hasn't been able to enjoy traditional sex. This female hopes to reprogram her brain to process the pain she lives with from being debilitating to orgasmic ecstasy.

Sparks fly as Master Bryan meets the bratty Kira who is the total opposite of any other sub he's ever played with. And you know what they say about how opposites attract right?

This series just keeps getting better and better and better. Lord Bryan, (insert sigh here), was such a pompous egotistical jack*ss in the last book and I hated him. Hated hated hated him. Sure a Dom has that mindset that sets them apart but this guy.........

After reading this book I do think the author can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. She has upped her game and created a character who is a sensual sadist I would love to find myself. And that's saying something. Bryan has reasons for being the way he is and why his behavior is the way it is and after knowing that information I could understand more about him and know that his actions aren't for the wrong reasons. And Kira needed that side of him which made this relationship perfect.

As to the adult content. I want to make sure anyone who reads this book realizes that the author has written a sadist/masochistic relationship in this book so expect a realistic fictional depiction of play scenes. It is no walk in the park glitterkink BDSM content book. It's full of down and dirty fun including a very delicious ff scene that will curl your toes. Additionally the impact play, a public scene at the club, wax play, and other memorable play < weg > made this book an absolute winner for me. And had me running out to buy more batteries. lol.

As to the storyline itself. The majority of this book does feature the two main characters. I do think it's possible to read this as a standalone of the actual story and characters. However. There is interaction with characters from the previous books and glimpses of characters who will probably be featured in future installments so to get the flavor and ambiance of the series I do suggest you read the other two installments either prior to or after reading this one. But for sure if you haven't read the previous book in this series "My Wicked Nanny" you won't understand how truly ugly Bryan was before this book. Your choice though.

Lastly, it does look like Master Hawk is next up to have his story told.........
Tick tock author. I'm hooked on this series and need another fix.

Lord Bryan....oh my. And add the spicy Kira to the mix and you have another fantastic book in the Club Wicked series!
I didn't really like Lord Bryan all that much in my previous encounter, but gosh darn is Ann Mayburn can't weave a tale that turned him into a character that I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know.
I have to be honest that the stories that have a heavier S/M tone often intimidate me a bit, as I'm never sure if I'll be able to handle it. But thanks to some amazing authors, I no longer worry so much. My first Sadist was Master Ben from The Knights of the Boardroom series...and he was hard core. I was afraid. But by the time his book came around I REALLY wanted to know more about him, no matter how painful. Then there was Master Sam....and now Lord Bryan.....I guess now I LOVE my Sadists. :)

As always, Ann Mayburn has delivered a well written book, with solid character development, a strong plot, and more than a few very hot BDSM scenes. It was a BDSM fantasy, complete with an English Lord who is handsome, wealthy, and an experienced dominant to boot. I love the scenes at Club Wicked, that must be quite the set up they have - another lovely fantasy touch.

Beyond the fun, fantasy bits are some realistic character actions and reactions based on enough back story for each to make things plausible. There has to be a feeling of reality behind the fantasy for me to enjoy a book, and Ann Mayburn does a consistently good job delivering both.

The ending itself was very satisfying, but I did have mixed feelings about the road getting there. The way Kira and Bryan found their HEA was both believable and a bit of an anti-climax with a bit of an epilogue feel.

On the whole, I thoroughly enjoyed Kira and Lord Bryan's story, and look forward to more fun at Club Wicked in the future.

I liked it - Bryan in particular was as dashing a hero as you could want - while still being human and making mistakes. I had a very hard time with Kira - I just didn't like her much. At first I felt sorry for her but then that went away and I felt quite irritated at her. Adrenalin junkie is right - and I struggled finding peace with her and her actions. She continually refuses to recognize she has a problem and that just grated I guess.

As always the sex and BDSM is very hot - in this one it's actually scorching esp. because there is a good healthy dose of masochism and sadism in here. It is all within the auspices of D/s and I'd class it definitely as a relationship based heavily on D/s with perhaps a bit more pain than many are used too. The clever idea of why Kira sought out BDSM is awesome. I thought the last 20% was pretty interesting and I'm not sure I expected the eventual outcome. Writing, as always, is superb.

My Wicked Devil by Ann Mayburn is the third book in the Club Wicked series. This is about Lord Bryan, who is a sadist. Kira Harmony was in a bad motorcycle accident a few years ago that gave her a pelvic injury. Because of this, she now feels pain when she is penetrated during s*x. She wants to regain some normalcy and comes up with the idea of being trained to take pleasure from the pain, and tries to find a sadist who can help her become a masochist. She goes to Club Wicked and finds Lord Bryan, who she is instantly attracted to. They begin a Dom/sub relationship with the goal of helping her be able to have normal s*x, and each of them feels a connection and more feelings for the other. But Kira is an adrenaline junkie and doesn't safe word out of situations that are too much for her and continuously puts herself and others in danger, making Bryan hesitate to continue keeping her as a sub. I loved the story and the idea of this book. I thought Bryan was great and so wonderful for Kira. Kira irked me because of her lack of growth throughout the novel. She was extremely immature and didn't see how Bryan was looking out for her or the dangers of her actions. Another thing that bothered me was the repetitive issues Bryan and Kira had. It was basically the same issue three times, with the dangerous situation Kira put herself in and Bryan saying he couldn't be her Dom, throughout the book. Other than that, I did love this story and really enjoyed reading it. It was extremely kinky and I loved reading about their relationship.

Kira needs help and a sensual sadist may just the ticket. Enter Lord Bryon. Kira sparks his interest from the moment he sees her. Taming his daredevil submissive is a daunting task. Keeping her safe is an even bigger one.

Getting hotter and hotter, more BDSM in this one. I like the fact that the scenes get more intense not only thru each scene but each book as well. Excited to read the next one, Will have to find more to read from Ann.

Unlikable heroine is probably the main cause of me disliking this book. I am not a big fan of people with dramatic mood swings...

I decided to pick this up again when I was looking through my past reads and vaguely remembered that Kira had a pelvic injury and has chronic pain when she tries to have sex. She gets pain in her back and hips if she is not careful. Oh! and she is a BBF (Big beautiful female). I enjoyed this and was surprised that I liked Bryan more than Kira. He was honest and trying his best. I didn't know if Kira really couldn't tell when she was going over her limit but I would think as a stuntwoman, she would be intune with her body.

What I was pleasantly surprised by from this series is the respect, consent and care between the members of Club Wicked. Even though some of their BDSM practises are scary, there is never a doubt that each person is safe and can say no at anytime. The trust between a Dom and a sub was lovely to see between Bryan and Kira as well as Jennifer and Shy.

It was pretty cool that Bryan is an actual British lord but sad that his family exiled him to the US because of the scandal.

They do have a big argument but I thought how they approached her pregnancy was fair. Bryan was doing the best he could. I liked how they have open conversations. Yay for the chronic pain and scarred rep. It feels real when authors have romance that give each person a HEA despite what issues they might have.

Tropes: Close proximity

Read 6 - 9 Aug 2016

Oh my goodness. I never expected this book to be about Bryan. I was introduced to him in Wicked Nanny and he was creepy and a douche bag. Sort of the villian of the book?

I didn't expected him to get a HEA. Ironically Wicked Devil was the reason I wanted to try this series. Hearing about Kira being a stunts woman is really cool and with her pelvis injury, I wanted to see how this would affect the dynamic of her relationship. Add into the mix BDSM and we have complications for sure.

I think that this is the first couple that I do not feel weird about. Yes! I know. More was revealed about Bryan as a person, his past and why he is the way he is. It gave me a different side of him compared to how he was in Nanny.

Kira is quite the opposite of him: adventurous and spontaneous while he loves control and order so they shouldn't work but somehow do. I saw a different side of Bryan when he was with Kira, he was concerned for her injury and her. I like that he communicated and checked in with her before and after doing a Scene. He was very respectful. The scandal from his past was surprising.

Spoilers ahead!

It surprised me that Kira was bisexual. I felt annoyed with Kira because she ignored the fact that she was supposed to use her safe word if it got too much. This happened three times in the book and it is only because of outside intervention that she avoids injury. That made me upset especially when Bryan talked about that with her and she still pushed the limits. I think it is quite understandable especially because being a risk taker is part of who Kira is. But ultimately, I wanted to see Bryan help Kira over her fear. While I don't really know if bdsm is the best way to go about it. She managed to get over it but not with some difficulties of course.

She is definitely a masochist because much of what Bryan does to her really freaked me out and would have me running for the hills. But I liked how the author was able to make things that sound taboo and forbidden sexy and steamy. There was whipping, spanking, bondage, anal play and sex, voyeurism, f/f/m. Oh yes those scenes were hot!

I don't know about the general audience but pregnant sex sounds wrong to me as is spitting saliva on a woman's anus. I can understand why the author clarified about the content in a note before the story began. Alot of what happened in the sex scenes would make people upset and I am not surprised. I still feel very weird about your other half being cool with watching another person pleasure you.

When it came to the end of the story, I was quite happy with how Kira and Bryan resolved their issues but I would have liked more time for them to iron it out. It was abit weird that Kira sought him out after finding out she was pregnant but only wanting him as a friend. You have two very different people struggling to get over their issues. Fans of the Club Wicked series won't be disappointed.

My Rating: 4 stars: Enjoyed - strongly recommend (A-)
Review originally posted at That's What I'm Talking About

Kira, former Hollywood actress and friend of Master Hawk, is a new member at Club Wicked. Injured performing a motorcycle stunt on a movie shoot, she cannot have intercourse without experiencing a lot of pain. Now a size 16 and uncertain of her own appeal and sensuality, Kira hopes that she can find a Master who will help teach her how to derive pleasure from pain.

Lord Bryan is THE Master sadist at Club Wicked. When Kira witnesses him performing a scene, she is immediately taken with his raw sexuality and dominance, and she realizes he is the Master for her training. Masters Hawk and Jesse help put the pair together for a “get to know you meeting,” and their fierce attraction is instantaneous. Yet Brian is cautious, knowing the skeletons from his past may end up harming Kira.

Ms. Mayburn returns to her Club Wicked series with another intense and deeply romantic tale. Although it can be read stand alone, this series is fabulous, and I recommend starting at the beginning. For those that have read the previous books, My Wicked Devil overlaps in time with My Wicked Nanny during the period Anya is in Paris.

Mmmm... I just love how wicked Lord Bryan is. The man enjoys driving a willing submissive to the point of extreme pleasure and exquisite pain. What makes him so sexy is the fact that he is completely shaken by Kira's presence. He wants her with a need even he can't explain, and because of this, he is so very caution with her. There is a gentle lion underneath the tiger exterior, and that is so sexy.

Kira is the most spirited submissive of the series to date. She's got a mind of her own and doesn't like to be told she's wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed her strong will and watching her learn to love submitting to her Lord. However, she is sometimes stubborn to absurdity and she doesn’t even realize it. She reminded me of a teenager.

One of the things I love most about this story is the open honesty that both partners model. For example, Lord Bryan has a pretty dark secret that drove him from his British estate to the US. When Kira discovers the secret, she is honest about what she found out and how it makes her feel. This is so much better than letting it linger and having a horrible misunderstanding over it later in the book. (However, Kira’s sister also knows the truth, and having that out there added a nice bit of tension to the mix.)

Although Kira is honest, she has a lot of growing up to do before Bryan can completely commit. Bryan’s struggles over his lust and desire for Kira versus his need for her to be safe, are so raw and moving. I love how honest Bryan is with Kira when he tells her he can’t leave her but can't live with the fear of hurting her. He is very mature, but Kira gets so defensive when he tries to discuss the truth of her adrenaline junkie behavior.

My Wicked Devil is filled with tremendously sexy and naughty scenes. Once again, Ms. Mayburn pushes boundaries and explores kink in the arena of pleasure and romance. Sex is not used to shock or punish, but is one aspect of a healthy relationship.

The ending of the book is ushered in with a twist that I, for one, did see coming much earlier in the book. However, it works for the story and this couple, even if it wasn’t the shock perhaps it was intended to be. I enjoyed that Bryan and Kira worked out their issues and are both willing to compromise. They will have a bumpy road, but as long as they talk to each other, they will make it.

Overall, My Wicked Devil is another excellent addition to Ms. Mayburn’s Club Wicked series. I appreciate that each book in the series tells a different story, each with unique characters, styles and issues. Lord Bryan and Kira are a fiery, passionate pair that warmed my heart. I look forward to reading many more wicked tales in this series.

I'm subtracting a star from this book for two reasons. One, I think Kira started out as a very strong female character. I identified with her because I remember having a lot of the same emotions when I first found the world of BDSM. Towards the end though I feel she went from being strong to being reckless and obstinate. I absolutely love Bryan and I honestly felt at the end that he was too good for her. Not only does she not really apologize for the way she acted, I felt she unfairly blames Bryan for their separation.

I'm going to spoiler tag the next part because there's really no way to write it without giving away the ending.

The second reason I'm taking away a star is something that I've noticed in all the books by Ann Mayburn so far, so it appears to just be a style thing. I know that with erotic romance, once the "I love you"s happen the book is basically over, but I feel like the endings in this series are very abrupt and leave me feeling like something is missing.

I feel that an epilogue of some sort would have possibly been enough to make this a 5 star book because it could have allowed Kira to finally atone for the things she had done.

My Wicked Devil is the third book in the Club Wicked Series. If you haven't read the first two books, no worries. I haven't either and loved My Wicked Devil. But be prepared, I am giving you fair warning that you will want to go out and buy the first two (links below) right away just to catch up on what you missed!

Now a little about Kira and Bryan. I don't do many 'book boyfriends'. Most people who ask me, I can only come up with one and he's been in my head for many years. But, Lord Bryan is now in that small list. I fell in love with him quickly and wanted to strangle Kira a few times so she would just make him happy! Kira was in an accident and wants to learn how to have sex and accept the pain it causes her. Having friends that enjoy the BDSM lifestyle she asks them to introduce her to someone who can teach her to enjoy pain. Bryan is not their first choice, but he is Kira's. And sparks will fly in more ways than one.

Kira seems to push all Bryan's buttons, then again he pushes all of hers as well. She is sassy, bratty, and an adrenaline junkie. Bryan is more laid back, in control, and comes very close to micro-managing every part of his life and by extension much of Kira's life. Bryan is more of a sadist than most stories portray, and as the book warning states, some elements may be uncomfortable for some readers. Nothing struck me as something that could be uncomfortable, but everyone is different, there is brief female/female interaction (not too graphic), whips, wax, and a few nice surprises I will let you discover.

Ann Mayburn’s My Wicked Devil is one of those books that grabs you from the first page, and doesn’t let go of you until the final word. It is well written, contains a really yummy Dom, and is hot enough to steam the screen of your e-reader.

I liked the heroine, Kira Harmony, although at times I wanted to slap her. She is bold, smart, and willing to give as much as she gets. A true adrenaline junkie, she is a former stuntwoman and actress recovering from a horrific motorcycle accident. She lost her last boyfriend because anytime she tried to have penetrative sex, it hurt so badly she cried.
She is concerned some of this pain may be psychological, so she decides to seek out a sadist who can train her body to accept pain in order to feel pleasure.

Enter Lord Bryan Sutherland, who was forced to leave England when an ex-submissive put a video on the internet of him whipping her. The attraction between him and Kira is immediate and explosive. His caring manner and willingness to show her how to convert her pain to pleasure makes the book a touching one.

But Bryan is not a risk taker and Kira’s addiction to danger threatens their relationship. Can these two overcome their issues?

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Readers should be aware it does contain a lot of BDSM elements, including bondage, whipping, wax play, and more. This is the third book in Mayburn’s Club Wicked series and I will definitely be reading the others!

I love this series. Yes, it takes place in Club Wicked and has a whole lot of intense adult fun, but really the stories are sweet romances. I know. It sound weird to hear of a sadist sweet romance, but it really was. Kira is a young daredevil who took one too many chances and paid a huge price. Broken in spirit and body, she decides to take charge. While she did a lot of things that I never would, I always kind of liked her and was cheering her on. Not the case for Bryan. I will admit it. I hated Bryan before this story. We met him in an earlier Club Wicked book and I found him to be horrid. Boy did this story change my mind. Not only did I grow to not hate him, I actually really like the guy now. This is another great Club Wicked book!

If you are a bit worried about the premise and are wondering if the whole sadist thing will creep you out, please be assured that Bryan and Kira may really get their kink on, but there is never any cruelty or abusive. In fact, I found that part of it to be much tamer than I thought it would be. Of course there are scenes with other people who are less tame, so no worries if you were wanting the kink. If you read any of the previous books, you will be happy to hear that we stay connected to some of the other characters. I love that. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. Not that it needs to be said, but this is an 18 plus read.

4.5 out of 5 Licks

I really liked this book. First of all it was crazy super hot. So much BDSM action going on I didn't know where to look! I mean I know I was reading but you know what I mean. I was like wow there is some kinky stuff happening in this book!!! I recently was able to witness kinky BDSM action in real life and I love it even more in my books now. It was very easy for me to picture every little thing Bryan does to Kira. Each of the characters pissed me off at times though. It's amazing how little things can blow up when the communication isn't flowing like it should-just like real life. lol I loved when Bryan pushed her to her limit and she can't take anymore. That was seriously hot. There is some girl on girl action as well (just a little) and just like the rest of the book it was perfect for the scene and was sexy stuff. To be safe you should keep a cool drink and lots of toys and/or a significant other around while reading this book. I was out of town while reading this. Sitting in Denny's. By myself. While I had a drink to keep me cool one of the other two options would have been nice as well. lol I can't wait for more in this series-hell more from this author period! And that cover is amazing! Ok quit reading this and go buy it!

My Wicked Devil, Ann Mayburn

Daredevil Kira is unable to close the deal with men after an accident shattered her pelvis. She has dated women after painful attempts with the opposite sex. Utilizing research and friends who are in the lifestyle she turns to bdsm, hoping a machoist will teach her how to turn pain into pleasure. She meets Bryan, who is more than qualified, although having Bryan as a master is going from the deck to the deep end of the pool. He thrives on control, needs it and daredevil Kira loves to push his boundaries.

Bookswagger Marcia: Four Crowns, good read, on the way to swagger. The unique concept is what drew me in. I have read a lot of bdsm, spanking, erotic romances with bdsm elements you name it but I have yet to come across this concept. Kira and Bryan really pushed each other out of their comfort zones. The English Lord Bryan Sutherland needed to learn that it was okay to fall in love and that he liked someone he could not control all the time, it made things spicy. While Kira needed to learn it was okay to let someone love her, put control in someone else’s hands and not put her life on the line for thrills because she was hurting the people who cared about her.

In short: Plump ex daredevil finds her biggest challenge in controlling English Lord. You do not need to read the other books in the series to follow, so dive right in.
