About the author

Suzanne Stroh

7 books31 followers
In an age of specialization, Suzanne Stroh was born to range widely. She is a screenwriter, playwright, film producer, performer, and translator telling irreverent stories with strong, free-spirited women at the center.

Her new book is the first English translation of a lesbian classic: Natalie Barney's I Remember Her, the haunting prose poem in 1904 written to win back the love of poet Renée Vivien.

Suzanne maintains Barney’s grave in Paris and co-curates the BookLantern project there. Her audiobook credits include the Jazz Age comedy about Barney, A Night at the Amazon’s by Francesco Rapazzini, which Suzanne also translated (with Sally Hamilton).

She walks, climbs, rides and paddles in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, where she lives a gloriously queer life with another Taurus, a small four-legged brood, and a sensible GenZ daughter keeping it real.
