Taming Her Racy Ways - Racy Nights 5

Marisol and Rafe are in love. Rafe a senior in high school, 18 yrs old and Marisol 14yrs and too young for Rafe. Reluctantly and with pressure from family, he breaks up with young Marisol. Even though they had not done anything sexual together, no one believes them and for 18yrs there attraction never waivers but are kept apart by Rafe's family. Marisol has always wanted Rafe. Rafe has always wanted Marisol.

Marisol, leaving a bar, knows her car is on it's last leg. On her way home, it starts to die. She knows that she is not going to make it but can make it to the garage to get it repaired again. She sees the garage, and also sees that Rafe is the only one there. The tension between the two is huge. Nether admitting their attraction is still there. Rafe takes her home when the sirens go off. A twister is hitting Racy. Running to the safety of Marisol's basement. Being scared and in close confines, brings back memories and feeling thought long gone. After the destruction of downtown Racy, the two go and help out. Finding that only buildings were destroyed and all their loved ones are safe, brings to two back together for one spectacular night. The two have dreamed of this for 18 yrs. In the morning, Marisol thinks maybe they can finally be together as a couple, like they had wanted to so long ago. Rafe, still listening to family, loves Marisol but listens to his family and doesn't see how they can work out.

After being with the one man she has dreamed of and now Rafe not talking with her, she gets back into work. Ellis, working with the town counsel, has know Marisol for a while. Single, and knowing he wants to get to know her more, they go car shopping and have a great day out. A attraction is there and Ellis wants to explore it. His involvement with BDSM clubs, and Marisol's interest in learning about it puts them together in a way they could never imagine. Can Rafe get over his family's negative reaction to Marisol? Will Marisol have to choose between 2 very different but sexy men? Can Ellis learn to love a sub and give Marisol all that she dreams of?

Hot read, with lots of drama and tension. I enjoyed the read but kept getting pissed of at Rafe. His family is a big influence and he has ignored Marisol, even though he has loved for this entire time. But saying that it goes two ways. Marisol did the same as well. Ellis just happens to fall into the right place and the right time to bring the 3 together. The 3 make a great team or "couple". Hot read, adults only MFM scenes. Thoroughly have enjoyed this series so far.

In TAMING HER RACY WAYS, we see that love, honor, family, and friendship all impact a relationship.

Rafe and Marisol dated in high school but were forced to break up because Rafe was four years older and their families believed their relationship was sexual and therefore inappropriate. Neither of them ever got over the loss of that relationship, but they each now have themselves convinced that the other hates them.

The two are unexpectedly thrown together when a tornado hits and devastates the town. They have an amazing night of passion and open up with each other about the feelings that never dissipated, but Marisol quickly realizes that one night might be all they get. Rafe is from a very close family and his need to honor and respect his parents is very strong. Rafe's parents are not happy with the idea of him being with Marisol, even years after high school. If Rafe chooses to pursue his feelings for Marisol, he may lose his family, which would also mean losing his job and his apartment.

The tornado also throws Marisol and Ellis together, but in the professional world. However, things quickly turn personal and Ellis is offering to introduce Marisol to the world of BDSM, which she is curious about. Marisol has strong feelings for Rafe, but if his loyalty is to his family, then Marisol is not going to pass up an opportunity for a relationship with Ellis. But Rafe isn't quite ready to give up on Marisol yet!

I had a difficult time rating this book. I enjoyed the story, but somehow did not feel as connected to the characters as I have in the other books in this series. And while I know the story is about the relationship between Marisol, Rafe and Ellis, I feel like there was more that could have been told about Rafe's family. The emotions of Rafe and Marisol in regards to his family and the strife they are causing in their relationship were wonderfully and heartbreakingly written, but I felt like the breakdown of Marisol's relationship with Ria deserved more page time.

I enjoyed Ellis as a character, especially his desire and willingness to train both Rafe and Marisol in the BDSM lifestyle, but I didn't find him very dynamic. While Ellis mentioned his past and how his relationship with his ex-sub had a significant impact on him and his emotions, I did not feel that as deeply as some of the other challenges faced by characters in this series.

This was a really good story (probably 3.5 stars) and a great addition to the Racy Nights series, just not my favorite. But I guess they can't all be my favorites!

Dear Tara Rose,
Thank you SO much for "Taming Her Racy Ways". You know I love your books, and I'll tell everyone who will listen all about them. This one, however, I'll shout from the rooftops, "READ THIS BOOK!" and mean it from the bottom of my heart.
I loved everything about it. Marisol was so real. I could identify with her on every level. Rafe and Ellis? Ohmygoodness! So sweet. So loving. So HOT! I fell for both of them right away. They're now my Book Boyfriends, and I want to invite them over to my house for dinner and...a few smexy games, maybe?

The chemistry of the three characters was perfect. Marisol and Rafe? Emotional and sentimental. Marisol and Ellis? Relaxed and smoldering. Marisol, Ellis, and Rafe together? DAMN! As in all of Tara's books, there is an actual plot. Lots of times, in other books, there are bare bones situations that are meant solely to string the sex scenes together. Sure, the sex scenes in "Taming Her Racy Ways" were amazing, but you are actually reading a great story. This book is the fifth in a series called "Racy Nights". It can be read as a stand alone novel, but I really do recommend that you start from the beginning as characters do cross over. That's another thing that I love. Everyone in Racy, Indiana knows everyone else. They're friends, relatives, and co-workers. They support each other, or even hate each other, but it's always terrific to see how they interact together.

If you like down to earth women, considerate, sexy men, and some family drama thrown in for good measure, "Taming Her Racy Ways" is perfect for you.

This is my first time reading any book by Tara Rose, and it will not be my last. The setting is a small town called Racy. In the small town of Racy, some of the couples consist of three individuals, usually two Doms and one Sub. With that fact, I knew heat and sensuality were going to be peppered throughout the book and I made a conscious effort to read the book with leisure.

Marisol and Rafe dated briefly when she was fourteen and he was eighteen. Because of their ages, their parents refused to allow them to be together. Eighteen years later and unbeknownst to each other, they are still in love with one another and harboring resentment as a result of their breakup. A surprise from Mother Nature allows Rafe and Marisol one night of passion originally denied to them, in which they discover that the flames are still there and fiercely burning.

Rafe’s family still has reservations about the relationship, and Rafe, who is willing to please them, is dealing with conflicted emotions. In steps Ellis, who has been admiring Marisol from afar and once given the opportunity to spend some time with her, he’s able to draw her into his world. The trouble is what about Rafe? Will he, can he and how will he make the transition to share Marisol with Ellis?

The scenes with Rafe and Marisol and with Marisol and Ellis are HOT, detailed and extremely satisfying. The scene with all three of them is just as hot, however, unbelievable. It is hard to see Rafe transition into the lifestyle without any previous experience or curiosity. Although willing, it almost appears as if Rafe has no choice but to share Marisol because of his love for her and the conflict he has with his parents.

The story is well-written and would have been better if the conflict between Rafe and his parents was believable. Although I wasn’t completely satisfied with the story, I’m looking forward to catching up with the others couples living in Racy.

I really enjoyed this book. Marisol and Rafe were in a relationship as teens but were separated by their parents. Eighteen years later they reconnect and try to rekindle their romance but in between there is a tornado that takes out part of the downtown area and another potential love interest: Ellis. Marisol likes both Ellis and Rafe but isn't sure what people will think and Rafe's parents still don't agree with them being together. A lot of tension and sexiness in this book.
