Book two in the Coded for Love series.

Genetically enhanced soldier Chase Stanton has two jobs in life. One, he must kick ass on all missions for the Program, and two, breed with his DNA breed mate, whoever and wherever she may be.

Two problems. Chase learns he isn’t genetically enhanced after all and Doctor Samara Jones, the woman he craves beyond all reason, is likely an enemy of his team and not his true match. Too bad they can’t keep their hands off each other.

I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
'False Match' by Lynne Silver is book two in the "Coded for Love" series. This is the story of Dr. Samara Jones and Chase Stanton. I have read the previous book 'Heated Match' and feel that it would be good to read these books in order. Although they really can be standalone I just think to get the full enjoyment of the story you need to have them in order.
Samara and her son has been rescued after being forced to help a scientist. Chase has been placed to watch her as since the team that rescued her does not trust her. But they are having a hard time fighting their attraction...can they? We learn more about the genetic enhanced research and story of the soldiers. Exciting read that touches a lot of emotions.

This is the second book in this series and I liked it a lot. I still haven't seen as much evidence of enhanced abilities in the soldiers but I'm hoping that changes as the series goes along. Either way, it was a good, quick read.

This is Chase and Dr. Samara Jones' story and it's has a lot of push and pull. Some biting banter between the two then the relationship deepens.

Chase's father was falsely matched when he was married to Chase's mother and now Chase is scared he isn't enhanced, or if he isn't, it would explain a lot of things. Dr. Jones agrees to check on it be only if he helps her escape.

When she does have to go to CO for her mother and Chase accompanies she and Luca, they find out she is still being hunted. After a near death car chase she decides she like the security of the Program just fine for the time being.

Then secrets come to light and she cannot get out fast enough. The thing is it brings more problems and she and Chase hit a tipping point.

Good read. I like the series, especially how fast they move .

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

False Match is the third in the Coded for Love series, it can be read as a stand alone however I would suggest reading books 1 and 2 first for continuity.

Lynne Silver creates and alternate world in which genetic research has advanced to the point that men and women can be born with enhanced abilities if they breed with there perfect DNA match. These enhanced humans have been raised to be part of a military type group. We also have the evil Dr. Paulson who is out to use these enhancements for his own gain.

I enjoyed the conflict for our hero Chase in this book finding out he isn't something he always believed he was and how he deals with the challenges that this discovery present. I was a little more hesitant to fall in love with Samara but in the end I rather liked her for her spunk and her bravery. This is as much erotic romance as it is sci-fi romance so we have plenty of hot, hot, hot scenes even with Samara having a little boy to throw one more twist in the path to love. Luca Samara's little boy is just adorable and let to several comedic moments in the story.

I would recommend False Match, I enjoyed it a great deal.
If you are a fan of any of the super solider type romances then you will enjoy this book and this series.

Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

I love how Silver has these books setting up the next in the series. It was clear from the first book that Dr. Jones was going to meet her match in Chase. Assigned to guard her, it isn't long before the chemistry between them starts making things complicated. Adding to the complications are her adorable little son - who steals the show in my opinion.

This book, much like it's predecessor, is hot and has all the elements of a great story. You're invested with the two of them from the beginning, even though Dr. Jones was a part of the enemy's group. Watching her come into her own among the soldiers and the women was a lot of fun. But watching her and Chase was even more fun. Can't wait to read more about Xander...and Thea.

False Match is book three in the Coded for Love series published by Ellora's Cave; however, it can read as a stand alone. I have not read books 1 or 2 yet and had no problems getting into False Match and being completely engrossed in the story of Samara and Chase. Nothing about the novel screamed inconsistency, not enough backstory, or "hey, wait...was this discussed in a previous book in the series?" I hope to read books 1 & 2 soon.

Dr. Samara Jones is strong-armed into working the Program - a formerly top-secret government military agency, by Commander Shepard (knows as Shep among his colleagues). Samara is referred to as Dr. Jones several times in the book and I'm sorry...I couldn't help but think of the Indiana Jones movies. Samara's main job will be working in the lab along side Dr. Wise "creating enhanced children from unmatched parents, along with enhancing developed fetuses" (Silver, L., 2013, pg. 5). These enhanced children are known as "Designer Babies."

Chase Stanton is an enhanced soldier for the Program. He is given the responsibility of guiding Dr. Jones around the compound as her mentor, and her protector. Chase is one of the soldiers that helped rescue Samara after her was son was kidnapped by Dr. Paulson, and she was forced to do Paulson's bidding lest she want to see her son harmed.

Problem is....Chase doesn't think he's an enhanced soldier. He has discovered some information about the matching of his parents and suspected record fraud within his family. And he's falling for one Dr. Samara Jones when they aren't matched, which could lead to disaster ~ of the heart.

This was a very intense book. Samara's kidnapper, Dr. Paulson, will always haunt her especially since she knows he's still out there somewhere. Chase has to face the fact that he may not be an enhanced soldier like he's been lead to believe his entire life. Both main characters face very different types of adversity and, while hard, really pull through it the best that they can.

Their romance was set up very nicely and explanations of Chase's parents and their relationship bring a type of sobering realization to both Samara and Chase: If they start their own relationship, without being matched partners, what happens if/when that perfect match comes along? Will either be strong enough not to let go?

Please Note: This is an erotica novel ~ The sizzling, erotic moments are hot, hot, hot.
There is one part containing angry sex so be prepared. It didn't bother me but it may bother others.

The book is basically error free and a nice, easy read. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this novel, and as noted above, will and Books 1 and 2 to my TBR list.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher for an honest review at Seductive Musings.

This review contains spoilers for Heated Match, the first book in the Coded For Love series. You could try to read False Match as a stand-alone book, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Now that Dr. Samara Jones has been rescued from the evil Dr. Paulson, she is safe and yet still has no freedom in what she chooses to do next. She is blackmailed into contributing her considerable skills as a geneticist to the Program in return for not being prosecuted as Paulson’s co-conspirator, but no one there truly trusts her. It’s only when Chase Stanton is assigned as her tour guide / babysitter that there’s someone willing to offer friendship, and perhaps even more.

When the Program discovered the traitor in their midst back in Heated Match, they also discovered that he had falsified his studies to force Chase and Loren’s father to leave Loren’s mother for Chase’s, convincing her that the latter woman was his true genetic match. But the likelihood of a person having two perfect matches is highly unlikely, and Chase worries that perhaps he’s not genetically enhanced at all. Samara is the one person who can help him discover the truth without anyone else finding out, and their continuing close association eventually leads them to a love that is immediately threatened by those who intend to recapture Samara in their goal to breed terrorist warriors.

Most of False Match involves Samara and Chase learning to trust and love each other even while their growing attraction is threatened by the emerging secrets of what Samara had done when Adam was Paulson’s captive. It was an interesting change of pace to have a hero and heroine who weren't compelled to fall in love by their DNA and it made their HEA all the sweeter. Lynne Silver ends this story with a heart-stopping epilogue cliffhanger that ensured I would be seeking out Desire Unmatched, the newest book in the Coded For Love series. I can’t wait to read it.

The Program: an organization of elite soldiers with superior strength, agility, and intellect. These men put their lives on the line to execute the government’s most dangerous missions.

With her son, Luca, being used as leverage against her Doctor Samara Jones is forced into aiding Doctor Paulson, a rogue scientist, who was performing experiments to genetically enhance babies. Experiments that she normally would never had anything to do with. Once rescued she again is being forced to choose between working for the government on the recently exposed genetically enhanced soldier program and going to jail for working against her will with Paulson. No choice and she feels she is back to being a prisoner once more no matter how much they pay her. She didn't like the work with Paulson and is becoming more and more sickened with it now. The only thing she finds attractive is her bodyguard. Soon their attraction leads to intense desire. With Paulson and his bosses wanting her back can Chase and his team keep her safe from a madman?

With a fast paced story and a thought our plot book two continues to deliver a thrilling story filled with suspense and romance. The characters are well-rounded and likeable as a while, although there are a few you would not mind seeing drop off the face of the Earth. This is the second book in the series and although you can read it as a stand-alone if you like, I would recommend reading the series in order for continuity. My rating is 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

***I received a copy of this book via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review***

False Match is book 2 of the Coded for Love series and I would highly recommend reading the books in order.

Dr. Samara Jones was kidnapped by Paulson who wants to create a super soldier and sell them to terrorist. She was rescued with her son, Luca, at the end of Heated Match and taken to the Program compound. She is a genetic fertility scientist and is working towards enhancing those currently in the program that do not have enhanced abilities. After years of not finding the right man to settle down with she decided to artificially inseminate so that she could have a child. Her son, Luca, is absolutely adorable and very smart for a four-year-old. She also has a elderly mother suffering from dementia who is currently in a facility in Colorado. So they are a package deal.

Chase Stanton isn't enhanced and would like to be so that he could find his match. He's tasked with bodyguard duty of Samara and Luca because no one trusts her because of what she did while locked in Paulson's lab. But what he soon discovers is that there feelings between Samara and himself but can he trust her? But Chase also finds that Samara could accomplish this but does he really what it if she is her chosen mate with matching?

The whole of the book is focused on building of trust with the rest of the Program group and of course Paulson who will do anything to get her back. The book does bog down a bit but you have to wait for the end to find out what happened in the lab in London to see why he does. But all in all the book is a great addition to the series, besides who can resist a 4 year old who wants to know why Chase is in bed with his mom? Nightmares is the answer, you'll read it with a smile and want to go onto the next book that will be Ryan and Thea (Samara's lab assistant).

In False Match we meet Dr. Samara Jones. She is offered a job with The Program to help design designer babies. The only reason she is offered this job is because she was obtained from the enemy and is persona non grata within The Program. Though many don’t get to know her because of her heinous association with the enemy she had her reasons, but even with good reasons she is trapped within the walls and guarded at all times. Her sexy guard is Chase Stanton. Soon, Samara realizes that Chase is different from the other soldiers in The Program and is not genetically enhanced like his other brothers in arms. Chase has suspected this for sometime, but it takes getting close to Samara to really find out and accept what he is. Through personal revelations and Samara’s 4 yr old son Chase and Samara grow closer than anticipated. But, as their love grows so do the hurdles that they must overcome. One day Chase will meet his genetic match and no matter what Samara does she will always have to prove her loyalty. Can a romance between a soldier and the possible enemy really work?

This was a great read. I found the story and its characters highly enjoyable and desirable. Chase and Samara’s love story develops as naturally as possible given the situations they are put in. I fell for Chase and his wonderful personality. I just wish I had binoculars for those skinny dipping days. Overall, I loved this book and can’t wait to read Xander’s story, and go back and read Adam and Ryan’s stories. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a short but hot read!

Genetic research has advanced and is now being used to create super soldiers, but not just the good guys have this ability. The evil Paulson rears his ugly head yet again.

Samara Jones was forced to help Paulson, getting up close and Personal to Adam (Book 1). But she didn't volunteer for this, her son was essentially kidnapped and she was allowed only limited contact. If she hadn't done what he wanted he was going to shoot her son.

Chase was one of the soldiers who rescued her and Luca. The rest of the Program is having a hard time separating her from Paulson but he just sees this adorable, smart, sassy female and her wonderful little boy. He's been sidelined with an injury and is now on babysitting duty. Little did he know that he was going to enjoy it.

Great book and storyline. Whilst set in the world of super soldiers and their various enhancements, we learn that Chase is not enhanced, yet still manages not to disappear amongst the crowds. He works harder than everyone to just keep up. Samara is little hard to bond with just because she is so prickly after her ordeal, but you can;t help feeling sorry for her after all she has gone through.

My heart was definitely stolen by Luca! That boy is just awesomely sweet!!! It was fascinating to watch Samara and Chase stretch themselves past their comfort zones and deal with the various obstacles in their path. I can't wait for the next!!!

Excellent Read --- I love series that focus on a new story line but still incorporate enough details about characters from prior books in the series so that you feel like you care still following those characters as well. Lynne Silver does a great job of doing just that in the entire coded for love series.
While book two primarily focuses on Samara and Chase, you are drawn into the commodore of the whole team. From the start of the book, there is a huge amount of distrust towards Dr. Samara Jones. She was “rescued” from Paulson but didn’t really feel free. She was offered a job with the Program but she really didn’t have a choice in the end. Paulson was dangerous and had gotten in too deep to stop trying to come after her and another one of the enhanced soldiers from the program. As the story unfolds, readers discover more about the horror that Samara faced when working under Paulson and how it directed some of her actions. Chase is conflicted with his contempt towards Samara for the part she played in Adam’s kidnapping in book one and the unmistaken chemistry that draws him to her. On top of dealing with his feelings towards Samara, Chase also learns that he has a half-sister and received confirmation around personal details about himself that he has always suspected --- With all the odds stacked, can Chase and Samara really push through their issues sand be together> ---

I enjoyed this instalment much more than the first. I didn't quite know what to expect from Chase and Samara's story, but it came as a pleasant surprise.

In False Match there is a lot less genetically modified soldier details. There's also not the pressure of finding the perfect match and breeding. Because of this, I found connecting with the characters and believing in the romance a lot easier. It felt natural and not chemical since the emotions were real. It made me root for them as a couple and of course with the way Chase cares for Samara and Luca you can't help but love him.

While the romance and characters were better in this book, the plot didn't grip me as much. Things happened, but they also didn't. There wasn't a complete resolve for me, and I'm guessing that's down to it flowing over into the next book, but I'm not sure how much further the plot can go without it being repetitive. Also, for an elite unit of soldiers, they seem to make a lot of stupid mistakes. The organisation seems amateurish rather than a crack team.

Overall though it was a good read. I enjoyed the romance element more in this book and I may check out the next. It surprised me that it's going to be Ryan's story though so I'm on the fence right now.

I’m thoroughly enjoying this series and was pleasantly surprised that the second instalment actually followed one of the Program’s own, who is not enhanced as he was led to believe.

When Dr. Samara Jones arrives at the Program’s compound, she is treated like a leper for her part in the capture and degradation of one of their own; even though her acquiesce was under duress. Even the smooth talking, carefree Chase Stanton is less than impressed by her presence, and is further riled to be delegated Samara’s personal body guard.

Being in close proximity and an undeniable attraction soon overcome their superficial distaste for each other and the heat ignited by their passion is nothing short of combustible. But secrets and lies are destined to make this ill-fated couple question their long-term suitability and the foundation of the future they are endeavouring to build.

A steady paced, emotional roll coaster; False Match is a captivating read that has the reader anticipating the next book and many more to come. My only disappointment was the cliffhanger at the end and no release date for book three!

This book is the second in a series; I do not recommend reading this book unless you have read the first book as much information about The Program is given in book one that is not provided in book 3.

I will say that I was disappointed in this book; first I didn't think the order of the book fit with how book #1 left off. I was really hoping to read Emma's story, but instead got Samara's story even though she is barely mentioned in book #1 (except her role while Adam was kidnapped). The book was significantly shorter than the first book was and for me at least lacked the suspense of the first book.

I'm not sure the ordering of this series. On some sites this book is listed as #2 while on others it is listed as #2. The end of this book contains an exert from Conquered Match which leads me to think this book is indeed book #2.

That said, the suspense was still there as was the romance even as Samara and Chase tried to fight it. I enjoyed reading about Chase's transformation from goofball to a man with priorities and needs.

This is the next book in the Coded for Love series or so it seems. This storyline while it is just as fast paced and action packed as the last, it touches more on the emotional and romantic side of falling in love more than the genetic—you are the one for me soulmate kind. Dr. Samara Jones and her son has been rescued only to feel like she’s a prisoner where her rescuers live. She’s offered a job but has a guard/babysitter, Chase Stanton, a genetic soldier or is he? The more time spent together you see a mutual chemistry and a bond develops leaving Chase protective and wanting more. With the outside enemies and conflicts storyline does leaving you hanging wanting to read more to know what else happens with some of the other characters. Can’t wait to read more in the series. Received an ARC copy from Netgalley for a honest review.

False Match is Book 2 in the Coded for Love series. Though it can be read as a standalone, you will get more out of it by reading Heated Match first.

I definitely enjoyed this book more than I did the first one. I liked that this wasn't an insta-attraction/lust book. Instead, the flame started as a slow burn. Samara and Chase are perfect for one another. They begin as adversaries, forced to work with one another and spend time together. And as the days pass, and they get to know one another, the friction and hostility turns to acceptance, affection, and a sort of respect. They are drawn to one another, even though they know there are so many reasons why they shouldn't be.

Lies. Secrets. Deception. Trust. Fear. Expectations. Disappointment. Acceptance. All found within the pages of this book. An enjoyable read.

Marie's Tempting Reads Netgalley ARC Review:

Even better then the first, False Match is about Chase and Dr. Samara Jones. I really loved how this was different, yet, almost more intense then with Heated Match. I think in this book, we learn a bit more about these enhanced soldiers and The Program that started everything. The tension runs hot and thick between Chase and Samara and I couldn't help but to enjoy every moment.

From start to finish, False Match is a unique, sexy, danger inducing, sexually charged story. I love the soldiers and their different abilities and definitely the characters. It truly is a great story and fantastic series!

False Match gets a STUNNING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! It deserves a full five and nothing less then that. I loved it and HIGHLY recommend it!

The second book in the Coded For Love series.

BTW, book 1 in the series, Heated Match, is currently free on amazon.com and amazon.ca

Just as good as the first one. With just as much action, romance and just was well written. This is the story of Samara and Chase, and has a completely different, yet complimentary story line, to the first book. I really like when an author manages to do that: continue the overall story, but put a completely new spin on each book in the series. Other series tend to get repetitive after a few books, but this series still has me sucked in and I will continue reading till the end.

Well worth reading! Can be read as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the series in order.

Second book in the Coded series and was just as good as the first. I am really enjoying this series and looking forward to reading more from Lynne Silver. This book brought along the chemistry and alpha men that set the pages on fire. Can’t wait to see who is up next and how they will fall.

After her and her were kidnapped and then rescued, Samara wasn’t sure if she went from one captive to another. Now she is working to prove her innocence and fight her feelings for the sexy Chase Stanton.

With his laid back nature, Chase is the recovering from a mission and ends up on Samara duty. Not sure if she is a double agent or if she was innocent Chase fights his feeling that are drawing him to her, but that can only last for so long.

This is the second book in the Coded for Love series. Book #1 is Heated Match. Once again, I was pulled into the book from page one. Dr Samara Jones had no choice to be employed by the Program and live on campus. No one trusts her. Samara does not blame them. She was working for the enemy, but she had no choice. Her son, Luca, was threatened over and over again.

I can not wait to read the next book, Conquered Match.

Chase feels contempt for Samara after the unwilling part she played in the kidnapping of Adam. He also feels an attraction he can't deny.
While he is charged with keeping an eye on Samara during her time at the compound, he comes to understand why she was forced to work for their enemy. But Chase has kept a secret for most of his life and when Samara confirms it, there may be no chance for them to be together. When Samara finds out a secret of her own, they may not have a choice.
Definitely 5 stars!
